Hnnngh I love Decrepit Birth.
Their vocalist is so cool. :v: He owns a medical marijuana farm.
None of the bands in the OP are Metal.
OK, I admit that I was wrong. Thread title has been changed to suit the OP's music.
[editline]10:07PM[/editline]
Well, I changed the thread title but I guess it takes a few minutes for the changes to take affect.
Fucking glad I didn't go see Of Mice and Men on Monday night. They sound almost as shitty as Attack Attack!
(opinion)
1) This thread contains metal. Look back at the original post.
2) The only christian band that I'm aware of in this thread is As I lay Dying. If that bothers you, too bad, it's still metal.
3) Give us more music or get out. If you really "know what metal is", then post the bands that you like... Don't bitch at me because you don't like the music in this thread. If you don't like them, vote "None of these" on the poll and leave.
1. I looked at OP. It's all metalcore and post hardcore. Look at every other post in the thread that agrees with me as well ffs
2. You aren't very aware then. Attack Attack was christian for a long while and is still in the christian scene, of mice and men as well, and so is we came as romans. I wouldn't be surprised if all the others are as well.
okay more music
Blind Guardian - At the Time of Edge
Ratt - Infestation
Galneryus - Resurrection
Overkill - Ironbound (INCREDIBLE)
Acrassicauda - Only the Dead See the End of War
DEATH DEVIL - LOVE
Gama Bomb - Tales From The Grave In Space
Lich King - World Gone Dead
Super looking forward to Atheist - Jupiter
Evile recording a new album I'm looking forward to as well

ok, yeah sorry about that, you're right. I can be stubborn sometimes. I tried changing the thread title but apparently it's not possible.
[editline]11:43PM[/editline]
But in my defense, when I made the thread title, I was using metal in the all-encompassing sense. Technically, Attila is metal (death metal).
I was ignorant when I made the thread, but you all have enlightened me.
The metal albums from 2010 that I've really enjoyed so far are as follows:
Wretched - "Beyond the Gate"

The Dillinger Escape Plan - "Option Paralysis"

The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza - "Danza III: The Series of Unfortunate Events"

Brain Drill - "Quantum Catastrophe"

Blind Guardian - "At The Edge of Time"

It's funny... I saw that crabcore video that Jimmyshimmy posted, I watched the original video. The song is called "Stick Stickly", and it's one of my favorite songs right now... lol :v: I guess I've been a metalcore guy all along and I just didn't know what it was called.
They're post-hardcore.
I know

I didn't know of mice and men were christian.
What gives you that idea? I know their vocalist who does the screamed vocals was from attack attack (Yeah I know it's a disgrace), but aside from that I haven't heard any evidence that they're a Christian band, but they've only released one album and there's nothing on there to say that they're christian
I really don't care if they are, I just disagree
Well first off, I'm looking forward to Skagos/Panopticon split since there was a preorder. I also heard Agalloch's new album Marrow of the Spirit should be coming out in 2010. I hope that will be pretty good.
Anyway here is something from the Skagos/Panopticon split. Two very awesome Black Metal bands on one split.

The album that has so far been my favorite from this year has been Furdidurke - Native. Black Metal/Punk.
Just a warning, it is pretty Lo-Fi.
I'm assuming this thread is for any metal that came out in 2010? Not just metalcore?
If so, then how about we throw some good albums from this year up here.
Following the format portrayed in your post:

everything you said after that...yes. just...yes.

the vocalist from attack attack was literally the only thing making "attack attack" christian (as soon as he left they dropped it) so by that logic a band formed by said vocalist is going to be christian
I am addicted to the 'ehru' used by Chthonic

oops not 2010 but oh well
[editline]06:52PM[/editline]
More Asian metal, actually from 2010

Dayum Chthonic is some good music, and you are right their singer almost sounds exactly the same as Dani Filth but that's a good thing imo.
Fancy covers.
Your Demise just released a new album so that's pretty cool.

They have two vocalists, I don't think that one christain member would mean that the entire band were.
fair enough though
well considering they said "we're a christian band" when he was in a group then "we're not" when he left would mean a lot. I think had a big ego and kind of forces it on the other band members or something but that doesn't change anything
The only band out of that list that is remotely good is Within the Ruins.
The rest range from crap to mediocre.
[editline]05:15PM[/editline]
Sorry, forgot to put in my opinion
i really don't give a shit if a band is christian or not but when the music sucks cock i hate it.
<Thy Art is Murder>
The Adversary is also a pretty good song in their album.
I don't much like the music, but I saw these guys live a couple weeks ago and it was pretty great. As obscure as the sound is, they know what they're doing.
Also As I Lay Dying is a brilliant band.

ChthoniC are supporting Arch Enemy at the end of November. I'll probably go to the show.
OP is not metal nor hardcore, it's shitty christian metalcore.
OP is not metal nor hardcore, it's shitty christian metalcore.
Once again, I tried changing the thread title but I guess it's not possible...
And what did I say about not taking a shit on any of the bands because they are "christian"??
If you can't share your opinion in a polite way or submit some music, get the fuck out.
OP is not metal nor hardcore, it's not very good christian metalcore.
better?
ha
I didn't vote, because I assume "none of these..." means it still has to be a metalcore band.
ChthoniC are supporting Arch Enemy at the end of November. I'll probably go to the show.
I'm hoping to go too, they are playing pretty awkward places though.
I enjoy listening to bands that are in the same(or similar) genre, and I must say, these are all horrible, especially Attack Attack!. :geno:
I like metalcore
Most people don't
Can't we all just get along and listen to different music to each other?
