honestly to me it's the same thing as throwing away money and then publicizing it. it's almost like "Hey, look how much expendable income I have!" dickish move but whatever
I completely understand and can agree with your point, but shit like that sells. If it makes him money, more power to him, whether or not people agree or disagree with it, people will overlook that and continue to make him ad revenue.
Disagreeing with your opinion =/= threadshitting. I'm pointing out the irony in your complaint as you have just succeeded in funding it further. I personally have no qualms in watching a cell phone being smashed with a hammer, it's relatively entertaining watching people get their panties in a wad over a piece of mobile electronics. I'd gladly be in his position, getting paid to destroy things that are plentiful and unnecessary sounds like fun.
Yeah congratulations for pointing something out that I adressed in the opening post. If you have problems with me, or feel the need for a discussion PM me, don't do it here. So yeah to me it is threadshitting. I agree with you, that's the weird thing, I merely said what he did was tasteless. Nothing more.
oh my god that's fucking funny. Get wrecked you chickenshit.
How is he hoping to recoup his losses from this? The only youtubers who make $1000+ from a single video have millions of followers.
How is he hoping to recoup his losses from this? The only youtubers who make $1000+ from a single video have millions of followers.
Well a lot of his videos have 950.000 to 5.000.000 views. Guess it pays well enough because he destroys a valuable object in everyone of his videos. Maybe his parents are loaded already, no idea.
"michael" "wut" "get some febreze or something"
Febreze: the industry standard for neutralizing highly flammable chemical spills since 1998. [editline]f[/editline] I really, really hope he didn't try to wipe it up with water.
when the electrolyte is combined with water, there is the potential for hydrofluoric acid to form – an extremely toxic and corrosive substance
http://www.nrel.gov/education/pdfs/lithium-ion_battery_safety_hazards.pdf

Whether he makes money from it or not doesn't really mean anything to me.
That investment sure paid off didn't it?
OP accidentally posted a re-upload. Check the first post again; it now has the original video by TechRax who has 424,899 subscribers.
yeah im sure febreze will help
yeah im sure febreze will help
Well not to be snide, but I heard BP was momentarily the biggest client of Febreze during the oilspill.
At first I was a bit shocked by his sheer stupidity, but then... "Michael, get some Febreze or something" I cried out of laughter.
why would you even bother fixing the video in the op. put it back to the reupload so people aren't giving this guy views and in turn money
dude should have known better than to start smashing a lithium battery lithium kinda has a bad relationship with air
Lithium has a bad relationship with everything, Skip to 3:00
I really feel these videos are just made for the people who hate brand X, like every time there is a new Samsung phone or a new iPhone you always see a load of these smash videos that break the device a day after its release. I doubt you have someone going "Gee i wonder if this phone would survive 2 heavy impacts from a hammer, otherwise i might not buy it."
why would you even bother fixing the video in the op. put it back to the reupload so people aren't giving this guy views and in turn money
Well I might disagree with what he does, but that doesn´t give me the right to take away the income he generates with his ´work´.
and? Whether he makes money from it or not doesn't really mean anything to me.
To me it all depends if he breaks even or not. I would rather have access to this kind of video, than not. Sure, hammer tests are dumb, but I'd rather have hammer tests than nobody breaks phones on video. If I'm paying this much for a phone, I want every test video you can offer. I wanna see a 'spilled beer on it' test. I wanna see a 'dropped it in the toilet' test. Fuck it show me an 'I forgot it was in my chair and sat down kinda hard' video for a pricey device like that.
lmao at everyone in this thread whining "What a waste of resources!!!!!"
lmao at everyone in this thread whining "What a waste of resources!!!!!"
Well shit, it is a cellphone. A product that everyone in the industry is looking to create less pollution for years now, and this guy literally makes his living off of taking functional technology and turning it into garbage. It's just dumb on so many levels. A lot of people do this though, really what I think is funny is how stupid he is by hitting a battery several times like it fucked his mom.
Haha what a faggot.
dude should have known better than to start smashing a lithium battery lithium kinda has a bad relationship with air
Rather a bad relationship with water, which the air has particles of. Like seriously, that shit goes ape the moment it gets in contact with only a little water.
How bad is it to breath in that stuff?
How bad is it to breath in that stuff?
Minor forms of pulmonary edema can occur if it's only a little bit. If it's a lot, you can destroy your lungs.
Minor forms of pulmonary edema can occur if it's only a little bit. If it's a lot, you can destroy your lungs.
kinda like asbestos bad?ß
This jerkwad actually makes money smashing them since jerks like me post their videos on well visited forums, and jerks like you watch them. Sad but true :( Hurts to see, I know.
Darn, sad that somebody is making money doing something I don't like. Why can't he do -my arbitrary measurement for work that is valuable- instead?
How bad is it to breath in that stuff?
Produces like 3 kinds of poison gas when it reacts with moisture and 3 more for no reason at all
Produces like 3 kinds of poison gas when it reacts with moisture and 3 more for no reason at all
Oh so yeah really bad.
Mind you the poisonous gases come after the violent explosion that occurs when lithium comes in contact with moisture. [editline]9th April 2014[/editline] (explosion happens at 2:00 btw)
Why can't he do -my arbitrary measurement for work that is valuable- instead?
oh i don't know maybe because some people believe everyone has a certain amount of social responsibility that doesn't cover being a stupid cunt on camera
