oh i don't know maybe because some people believe everyone has a certain amount of social responsibility that doesn't cover being a stupid cunt on camera
If someone's paying him to smash products then of course he's going to do it, he just shouldn't have smashed the battery
it was actually one of the defense mechanisms of the phone to ward off predators, pretty good imo. 10/10
guys take a look at techrax's other videos fairly certain its all a joke/prank type thing. the channel certainly is.
The kid's an idiot, but why are you butthurt if he decides he wants to buy expensive phones and break them with a hammer? It doesn't make him a dick just because he isn't giving away a commodity he paid for, get over it. You're promoting his hobby you dislike so much by sharing the video in the first place.
Precious and rare metals are used in the fabrication of those phones and it physically hurts me to know people are actually willing to squander very rare resources for the sake of being retarded fucks.
People in this thread need to get a grip, sure you have a hateboner for Apple etc., sure he's wasting precious and rare metals (it's a drop in the water compared to national consumption) and yeah he hit a lithium-ion battery with a hammer. But in reality, you're just going to move on to the next thread and not actually do anything but complain. I found the iPhone 5S cake bake video to be entertaining personally, yeah he might appear to be some rich spoiled kid just because he has all of the tech you want but don't have but he most likely isn't. Chill out, it's a YouTube video, 'dumb' people upload 'dumb' videos at the rate of what, 100 hours a minute (source: http://www.youtube.com/yt/press/statistics.html)?
I really don't see the point of even watching these kinds of videos, the only kind to watch it and to pay attention to the guy's channel are the ones who just enjoy watching shit get smashed up, I love how he tries to cover it as like product testing, as if Samsung doesn't spend a ton of money putting their products through vigorous tests. The only reason this guy does this is because he has no better ideas for his channel. If he doesn't realize he's hitting a battery of any kind, that itself is worthy of a Darwin nomination. Oh God and the Fe-breeze part tells me he was probably stood their like an idiot breathing it all in while the Lithium battery did a run of his room.
Precious and rare metals are used in the fabrication of those phones and it physically hurts me to know people are actually willing to squander very rare resources for the sake of being retarded fucks.
Do you need to be informed that we live in a capitalist society? Regardless of what materials are being implemented into that product, the man bought the product with intentions of destroying it. If that is what he wishes to do then so be it. To even suggest that it causes you physical pain only shows your indulgence in the act of complaining. Don't like it? Either fix the issue (which you cannot) or simply declare the existence of this man and his motives irrelevant. However I suspect that you are too emotionally attached to what he had done to ignore his actions. Let him be a 'retarded fuck' for the sake of being one, your lack of acceptance is what causes your distress. You think that there is a 'better' way to operate that product, when in reality it is up to the consumer and his own desires, not yours that dictate his demeanor. Check yo self b4 u wreck yo self.
Battery smoke, don't breath this!
lmao at everyone in this thread whining "What a waste of resources!!!!!"
1000 dollars. destroying something worth 1000 dollars for a single youtube video. Ok let me say another; If other people from other 3rd countries want this, they going to pay 2500 for this smartphone, aka, 4 months of they salary for this, If anything this guy should be to, is stripped from his money.

How does him purchasing a phone with his money and doing whatever he wants with his legally owned property, affect people in the third world? It's his fault that the phone is $2500 in Brazil and nobody can afford it? This is exactly the same as "eat all the food on your plate because children are starving in Africa". Okay, I ate all the food on my plate. Are the children in Africa fed now?
It's his money and he's making money off of it he can do what he wants with his money and y'all are just jealous he's making a living off it it
Well, he proved that the phone's screen is resilent, however.
It's his money and he's making money off of it he can do what he wants with his money and y'all are just jealous he's making a living off it it
Yeah, I can sort of understand the point about rare earth metals being wasted, but really, it's one person consuming a negligible fraction of the worldwide usage, and he still has every right to do it if he wants to, and every right to be paid for it if he's producing videos that are in demand.
it's like the people complaining about how actors and athletes get paid more than others but continue to buy movies and watch sports.
it's like the people complaining about how actors and athletes get paid more than others but continue to buy movies and watch sports.
Uhmm, no, this literally takes no talent to do.
Well shit, it is a cellphone. A product that everyone in the industry is looking to create less pollution for years now, and this guy literally makes his living off of taking functional technology and turning it into garbage. It's just dumb on so many levels. A lot of people do this though, really what I think is funny is how stupid he is by hitting a battery several times like it fucked his mom.
And why do you assume he's a piece of shit who just throws it in the bin when he's done? How do you know he doesn't take the parts and recycles them properly? [editline]10th April 2014[/editline] I have nothing against videos like this because I like seeing how much shit a product can take before it breaks. This video taught me that despite being hit with a hammer, the S5 is really fucking strong. That's impressive. Good job Samsung.
what if he planned this all along what if he was wearing a gas mask what if he planned those two funny lines about febreeze what if michael was in on it too what is a dj if he can't scratch what is an mc if he can't rap what is a beat without a live clap
Ugh only facepunch can make a simple remark in the OP into a 2 page discussion about wether or not the guy is allowed to do this or not. Ofcourse he is, it´s his money, but that doesn´t mean I have to like it. I PERSONALLY think it is in poor taste and wouldn´t do it myself. No further drama was needed.
How is he hoping to recoup his losses from this? The only youtubers who make $1000+ from a single video have millions of followers.
He gets an avg of around 7.8 million views per month, aka makes around $7,800 a month. Maybe a little less, maybe even a little more
i want to see the next step of these kinds of videos just break your own bones on camera
dude should have known better than to start smashing a lithium battery lithium kinda has a bad relationship with air
It looks cool when burned 3:10

What a fucking stupid ass white kid
That "very very sharp knife" had kanji on it, it must be made from glorious Japanese steel folded over 10 thousand times.
He gets an avg of around 7.8 million views per month, aka makes around $7,800 a month. Maybe a little less, maybe even a little more
Actually a lot more. Assuming he earns 5 dollars per 1000 views (which is pretty standard) he gets about 13,650 dollars a month.
It's like one of those stink bombs in those foils that people sold. Except more deadly. And I just remembered they're called Fart Bombs.
Unfortunately Micheal could not get the Febreze as he was busy sawing bacon.
