You could have looked for it. You don't need to be active to know shit. And I take offence to your snipe at me before.

But we already have one
I was disgusted. I was watching the news on ANZAC day. They had a 30 seconds story on 6 war veterans who were hit by a truck and sent to hospital. Then they had a 10 minute story on the Justin Bieber concert in Sydney that got canceled. What a world we live in.

Yeah, it's pathetic really.
How about you ragers get back to your beers, and us majors get back to celebrating Kakoda, and honouring Gallipoli?
what about the new zealanders, considering it is the australian new zealand army corps
I wouldn't go so far to say they died for nothing. It was a waste of many lives, but they still died for their country.
Saying 'nothing' makes me inclined to feel their deaths were trivial; when it was quite the opposite.
I still don't really get what this day was about..
First 12 years of my life I thought it was about the Anzac Biscuit (I never really thought about that too much) and then the last 3 I wasn't sure... The school tried to explain and it just sounded likea few hundred Australian soldiers tried to run at a turkish base and got gunned down, and they kept going despite knowing they were going to get shot down before they took 2 steps.

Wow
[editline]11:31AM[/editline]
Just wow
Happy people-got-killed commemorance day to all!
Mokkan it was originally designed to honour the soldiers who fought bravely against all odds in Gallipoli due to British strategic incompetence, now it is more generally a commemoration for all the soldiers who have lost their lives in combat from the Australian and New Zealand militaries.
