Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart look like they'd be damn awesome to hang out with.

i just realized i posted "just shall it" and died of laughter [editline]1st June 2014[/editline]
If you mean the movie themes from the original trilogy then yes, they're in there at the beginning and credits. (I wasn't really paying attention to the score during the movie, though I did detect an annoying lack of themes from First Class.)
I paid attention to all of the movie and heard a lot of Xavier's Theme (which I quick liked). Ottoman reusing the X2 theme was a great touch. Also here's Magneto's theme from First Class slightly reprised: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=0fhKbxFFO64#t=2918 It also pops fully at 49:50

I really liked First Class and its music. Ottman's theme is really cool but it doesn't say X-Men the way Jackman's theme does. But I also would've liked it if we "earned" the original theme back at least. But I also didn't care for formatting the movie in the old style with the WHAAA CG opening that was cool in the early 2000s but now is a bit dated. Really it was presented as a (classic?) X-Men movie framing around some First Class elements. That idea I think would've been more apparent had there been more future scenes. I think I'd really like a 210-minute extended version with all the stuff they cut out.
This theme should be adapted for this series. Sounds like childhood. video Cyclops gets Comic Sans. Nobody who adapts the comics likes Cyclops.
I never realized this because I wasn't an X-Men fan but a lot of the fans seem to be pissed these movies completely fucked the Cyclops character. In the comics he's the leader but in the movies... Well...

cyclops used to be my favorite xman but now gambit is my favorite which sucks because gambit only appeared in one movie and that movie was not very good in my opinion
Well, now that Channing Tatum is playing him for the next sequel, you should be excited!!!!!!
cyclops used to be my favorite xman but now gambit is my favorite which sucks because gambit only appeared in one movie and that movie was not very good imo
I'm going to say the regular chronology of the X-Men films ignores X-Men Origins: Wolverine Gambit really should get his own spin off movie. On the note of spin-off films, I hope the next Wolverine movies incorporate stuff like Daken or X-23 and some other mutants or story lines that have not been seen on the silver screen as of yet.
gambit and magneto were originally supposed to have origin films

Like "I can only send myself back in time, but with you I can send myself back in time further" or some bullshit like that.

She would have no past body in which her conscious could possess.
If I recall, Kitty couldn't go back that far because she wasn't born yet.
Rachel Summers
And nothing of value was lost; also Rachel can't exist if Scott and Jean are dead.
kitty having to sustain it real time in the future added another element of peril to the situation, as well as more screen time for the future cast
So why not have the same thing except Kitty and Wolverine are the ones who are static and the others have to protect them? It'd be pretty much the same thing except Kitty would have her eyes closed.
And nothing of value was lost; also Rachel can't exist if Scott and Jean are dead.
this is a film universe where scott's younger brother is magically older than him.
I'm a little confused. Is the transition between The Wolverine's post-credit scene and DOFP ever explained?
I'm a little confused. The war probably begun shortly after.

Then for years Trask's followers refine his project in secret only for their plans to be discovered 2 years after The Wolverine.[/sp]
So [sp]Did the alternate timeline thing completely wipe what happened in the last wolverine movie apart from logan remembering it?[/sp]
So [sp]Did the alternate timeline thing completely wipe what happened in the last wolverine movie apart from logan remembering it?[/sp]
[sp]Sounds like it[/sp] And I still find it insanely creepy that Wolverine has this massive fixation on Jean Grey to the point he has dreams and visions of her on a regular basis, even though they were never in a relationship in the movies.
