Im wondering what the thing in their chest is, maybe a laser, kinda like Iron Man's Unibeam? I mean its probably just the Sentinels chest-light, but you never know.

sentinels seem to come and go in size
the animated series generally had them somewhere around 30 feet i think, but sometimes they would be bigger or smaller.
Theres also Sentinels that are well over 100 feet tall, like the one in the X-Men Origins Wolverine game.
It helps that they're robots, so it makes sense that they'd be different sizes.

Ultimately what I really liked about First Class was how X-Men it felt. Down to the spandex.
This shot of Wolverine is perfect. Glad the level of quality adaptation continues.
Question: aren't all marvel characters supposed to be in the same universe?
How come.... [i]spider man[/i] instance, doesn't have to deal with the same shit that the X-men do and vice versa? (persecution and so on and so forth)
I prefer his hair in the Wolverine trailers (haven't seen the movie :( )
but that also looks quite cool.

Peter Parker wasn't born a mutant. Although there are people, loads actually, that felt like persecuting superheroes like Parker so yeah.

Most of the X-Men dont have a secret identity, nor do they wear masks.
yeah the first issues are always about the public doubting his actions because of the daily bugle
he's also often jealous of the human torch because of how he gets all the fame while spider-man has to escape after every battle and change back into parker
What I really liked about First Class is that it felt like an X Men movie not an "Wolverine and the X Men" movie.

I cannot agree with you more. The previous X-Men movies felt more like 'Wolverine and Friends' but First Class really did feel like the X-Men and highlighted the relationship between Magneto and Professor X which were performed excellently.
I remember an episode of the 90s cartoon where Spiderman started to panic he was a mutant. Good times.
Didn't he transform into a feral spider monster in that plotline?
And then the Punisher and Kraven The Hunter worked together to cure him.
Shit was weird, and Punisher wore aqua green and a rambo headband.
