Avatar without 3D is hard to imagine. Not to mention a majority of the 3D in it didn't feel gimmicky.
i very rarely watched 3D movies in the cinema, but the ones on dvds were trippy, real-d is better
3D glasses suck ass for people who actually wear glasses.
Coraline and Alice In Wonderland.

This. The bridge of my nose hurt like fuck after avatar.
Coraline was pretty damn good.
Good enough that I bought it on DVD.
the 3D in coraline was done very poorly though.
in the special features they show the mechanism they use and gloat about it like it's the best thing ever, however, it does not allow the camera to pivet. something you absolutely need for 3D. so, at many times throughout the movie, only some of the frame actually comes into focus.
in the context of "3d movies", what exactly do you mean by "brilliant"
i believe he's referring to how well done the 3D effect is and how well it's used. not necessarily the movie itself.
3D is gimmicky bullshit that makes it harder to enjoy the film, either because annoying shit is in your face all the time, or the glasses give you a headache.
besides, it'll be gone in a few years, being replaced either by a similar process that's done in the projector/screen, or true 3D (as in holograms)
I am assuming you mean 3D as in glasses and that bullshit, not 3D animation.
Bolt. For a kids film it was really well done, the depth was very realistic and nothing came out of the screen.
No? I wear glasses and I just put the 3D ones over my eyeglasses and it's just fine. No problems at all, no discomfort, nothing. Perfectly fine for me.
You denial levels are monumental
I think saw 3d will be great
We can all admit that the 3D in Clash of the titans was shit. Why did I play $2 extra to see the movie in 2D with some douchey glasses on?

Are you really bitching about 2 dollars? You can find more on the street
I haven't had the chance to see any 3D movie at all :(
You should the new real d works alot better than the old
Avatar and How to train your Dragon were both awesome 3D movies. Clash of the titans 3D was pretty lame though.
How to Train Your Dragon.
3D is a pretty cool. For most movies, its nothing more than a gimmick to raise more money. But when used sparingly and in the right way, it becomes breathtakingly real. Like in "Avatar" the 3D was used so well, it created a sense of depth. If a tree looked like it was 50 feet away, I felt like I can actually walk 50 feet to it. It didn't have random shit popping out at you at random,it was used realistically. If more movies were made with that degree of 3D, I would gladly pay the extra few bucks to see it.
Pixar's UP
Coraline
How to Train a Dragon
Avatar
etc.
Avatar and UP.
Avatar is nice in 3D.
The upcoming Toy Story 3 will be shown in 3D
Ive never seen how to train your dragon but it got really good reviews
how to train your dragon was the best 3D I had ever seen.
Yes even better than Avatar

The 3d looked good though, but that is true.
