I'm disappointed that it looks like it's just CoD or BF3 but with cops and robbers. I hope they change my mind.

huh? First person APB? I hope not. I truly hope they will make this proper and not end up with a financial problem as nobody purchases the product because it's so full of issues and bugs.*cough* apb
Large scale combat, themed like a bank robbery? How the fuck does that even work?
Despite the factions, how can this be compared to APB? [editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
Large scale combat, themed like a bank robbery? How the fuck does that even work?
Greedy PMCs. And the robbery doesn't always have to take place in a bank.
I don't think this is going to be anything like APB. The only thing really tying this to APB is that it has some form of legal enforcment and a form of criminals, and guns. APB is third person, guns only and cars. This game (according to this trailer) will have so much more than just guns and cars. Not to say it won't have issues at release.
Um yeah it probably will be BF but with cops and robbers. Which personally I don't mind.
Why would I spend my money to buy BF3 with cops and robbers even though I already bought it just without the cops and robbers? And was disappointed with it might I add.
Large scale combat, themed like a bank robbery? How the fuck does that even work?
If I made the game, I would do it a bit like rush mode in BF3. Have several objectives to complete, and cops try to stop them. A little bit like payday the heist, but without the waiting 7 minutes for a floor to melt. But the criminals are in their lobby, all their communications are private. The crims vote on which area to rob (in a rob style gamemode). Cops wouldnt know where they were going to be. Police would also choose where to send some security gaurds (like normal banks have). Criminals would not know where they are sending player enforcement. Everyone spawns. Crims in one or two vans, and cops in cop cars. Banks (or whatever they are stealing from) should have several entrances. Don't want your van to be seen on the road? Go around back through the alleyway. But anyway. Crims do their thing, and alarms and whistles go off. If the security gaurds were in the right place then they get a bit of a head start. But if they don't they have to get into a cop car and get over to the bank. And then everyone does their thing in an objective based (note: not WAITING based) heist mode. All they gotta do to prevent ghosting is to prohibit team switching until the main action has begun.
They used the old Interplay slogan :saddowns: I dont really mind because this looks AAWWSSOOMM
I heard about this ages ago but I thought it was just a fan trailer, so is it real or what? [editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
Seems cool I guess but it just seems like it's going to end up being some BF3 or cowa dooty clone. Also lol'd at the muzzle smoke, apparently were shooting black powder now.
Hey it's better than the generic over exaggerated muzzle flash most games have.
I hope it doesn't end up like a BF3 game setting place in a Payday : The Heist setting just with a few small feature. It looks fun, don't get me wrong, but that's what it's looking like right now. Of course we don't see any actual gameplay.

This special class and exclusive weapon kit will NEVER be available to the public or anybody else, it's a Kickstarter EXCLUSIVE.
Why would I spend my money to buy BF3 with cops and robbers even though I already bought it just without the cops and robbers? The fact that it's with cops and robbers instead of soldiers kind of changes a lot.
tbh this sounds kind of dumb like, uh, bank heists don't work like "war".
Looks like this isn't going to get off the ground, disappointing.
Looks like this isn't going to get off the ground, disappointing.
A day has passed and they already have 7,000, with a couple weeks to go as well. I can easily see this being pulled off, although at a pace slower than Wasteland 2 for example. And that already had a long history and a large fanbase.

Classes look the same as Battlefield 3, hopefully there aren't clusterfucks of sniper players when the game releases.
Looks like this isn't going to get off the ground, disappointing.
It already got quite a bit off the ground
That's like saying that every game is Counter Strike in a different setting. It IS all about being in a bank/whatever heist setting.
Did you like, complete ignore everything he said in the video? It IS all about being in a bank/whatever heist setting.
Uh, no, look at the concept art, it's pretty much massive scale warfare, they have like military jeeps and shit.
Uh, no, look at the concept art, it's pretty much massive scale warfare, they have like military jeeps and shit.
Yes, set during a big heist.
Because a little bit variety is bad, stop jumping to conclusions so badly. "Oh no, it's big maps with vehicles, it's Battlefield!"
Yes, set during a big heist.
It's not a heist if it's an army of robbers versus and army of cops with no real stealing going on.
It's not a heist if it's an army of robbers versus and army of cops with no real stealing going on.
It is a heist if it's happening because the army of robbers stole something.
It is a heist if it's happening because the army of robbers stole something.
Oh come on, look at the shot of them fighting at the Hollywood sign, that's just two opposing groups charging at eachother with the sole purpose of killing eachother.
Oh come on, look at the shot of them fighting at the Hollywood sign, that's just two opposing groups charging at eachother with the sole purpose of killing eachother.
What did you want then? 5 guys against 5 other guys?
What did you want then? 5 guys against 5 other guys?
I'd like at least some sense of thievery, hopefully they actually do do that and the concept art is just misleading. What I'd like is at most 32 players, the robbers having to steal something, IE money, and get to a point on the opposite end of the map while the cops stop them, this looks to be just the basic gamemodes, deathmatch, capture the flag, everything I'd already had enough of in 2004.
