Just because he's handicapped doesn't mean he wants sympathy votes. Being handicapped should not be a reason to disqualify him either. It's not like a travel hosts travel by themselves. They have a full crew backing them up and making sure that filming goes smoothly. Sure, if he were to get the show, there might be moments when his handicap will get the best of him. But at least he puts himself out there and isn't bashful about or inhibited by the difficulties life has dealt him. I feel that he has a stronger combination of charisma and honesty that far outshines any of his competitors. This attribute working in tandem with his pitch would be more than enough to put together an inspirational and entertaining show.
