Probably the most retarded thing someone can do is base their happiness off of someone else. If you need someone else in order to be happy, you're setting yourself up for disaster. Relationships shouldn't be your solution to the problem of having a shitty life, they should supplement your already happy life. Make improvements by yourself for yourself, it's ridiculous when the only reason why you do shit is to make someone else happy. Sob stories like this just don't get to me because they are greatly exaggerated. This is a simple case of a kid becoming heavily infatuated/dependent on someone else and then dropping into a stage of depression because the person he was using as a crutch was taken out from underneath him. The whole situation is nobody's fault but his own. Why feel bad for people when they set themselves up for disaster? If someone came in here saying "I armed a grenade and held on to it instead of throwing it, so my arm was blown off. Now life sucks :(," people wouldn't sympathize with him, they'd call him a gigantic dumbass. So why feel bad for this kid when he brought it all on himself? He pulled the pin on a grenade he was holding the second he decided to use a relationship as his means of improving his life instead of making improvements on his own. It blew up on him and he got fucked, there's nothing to be sorry for him about. The kid needs to learn that you have to get your own act together before you can expect a relationship to be successful, this bullshit where you need some random ass person to hold on to is just that, bullshit.
