Firefox is a bit of a memory hog.
Firefox is a bit of a memory hog.
To be fair, pretty much all the browsers are. As far as I can tell, they all make heavy use of memory cache. I know Opera has somewhat high memory usage, but it varies its memory cache is scaled to how much RAM you have. Plus, I'm pretty sure it drops its memory usage if your overall memory usage is too high (like if another program needs to use the memory). Not sure if other browsers do this, but I'd imagine they'd be somewhat similar.
Chrome, thought google made a joke about this whole chrome thing but in the end its a very fast browser.
Every time I pull up IE, my computer has a stroke.
etscape
That used to be my homepage But one day it spammed me with Justin Beiber free concert tickets TODAY ONLY :argh:
Chrome.
I did quick 10 minutes research on Wikipedia. Wasn't really expecting the original post to be extra informative. Did you not see the ending? Useful information will be added if posted? Not to doubt you, but I'd like to see an example of some extreme modification to Firefox.
And yes, that is my download display.
Internet Explorer is shit, but I like it on Windows 7. Firefox is amazing and I love the addons. But Chrome is where my money's at. Fast and simplistic.
IE6 is a disaster, 7 fixed most of its problems, 8 is ok but still doesn't compete with other browsers.
Firefox and Chrome without a doubt
Hardware and Software
Safari seems worse than IE to me, last time I used it, there were NO features
I use firefox because i'm hot which means fire and my wife is a hot foxxy woman.
The Chrome adblock can't actually block ads though, it can only hide them.
Well, since the ads are loaded you do support the websites without being bothered by the ads which I think is a pretty good deal.
Real men surf the Internet with their BARE HANDS!
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/74/Timeline_of_web_browsers.svg/1780px-Timeline_of_web_browsers.svg.png[/img_thumb]
Wow hard to believe both firefox and internet explorer both share the same ancestor.
I made a thread two years ago about browsers, it's pretty shitty but people have posted in it and there's some good stuff there. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=603879 Also, who said Firefox is cluttered? [IMG_thumb]http://i45.tinypic.com/a4wpxt.png[/IMG_thumb]
I use AOL.
I use AOL because I hear all other browsers have viruses and can let your kids hack
Problems with this the OP:

They're called browsers
You did not acknowledge how terrible IE is
Thread should be in Hardware and Software
Other shit
Verdict:
I use Chrome because I was having a very annoying problem with IE 7, and LegndNikko suggested I use Chrome instead. Also,
Anyone who uses IE lives in a cave also they're called "browsers"
Fuck you retard IE8 is pretty good.
I've used FF for ages, doubt i'll stop using it. However I gotta use IE for my homebanking :/
Firefox is awesome, though I like Opera and Chrome "lightness", I still prefer MOAR addons and to me, Firefox felt more solid. [editline]09:02AM[/editline] Eating just 136 MB of RAM! I don't care, I have 4 GB of 'em.
Firefox. Lots of useful addons and cool skins.
