If they used this to explain Spider-Man powers it would be an interesting change.

But I really hope they just try to make the series feel different.
who cares (you obv)
not like the opinion of some fat guy on the internet is going to change a movie executive
All you motherfuckers are gonna pay, You are the ones who are ball-lickers. We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little whiny bitches. Once we get to* Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who is makin' the movie, we're gonna make them eat our shit, then shit out our shit, and then eat their shit that's made up of our shit that we made 'em eat. And then all you motherfucks are next.
Love, Jay and Silent Bob
Now there's actually a good reason to watch Spider-Man movies. Gotta love that ass. Pretty face too.
edit. Looks kinda weird in that photo though.
She has creepy eyes.

Honestly I like the magic explanation better than trying to shoehorn in some sort of unlikely homebrew future tech like that.

Radioactive spiders turning a man into a human spider isn't future tech?
[editline]3rd January 2011[/editline]
Also how else would they explain villains like Doc Ock, Rhino, Vulture, and just about all the others?
Ew no I really hate her, she's weird.
I hope they stay true to the original source material, and have spider-man kill her.
Norman killed her you liar! Spidey did all he could :crying:
Ew no I really hate her, she's weird.
uh why
Not terribly excited about Spider-Man after the mediocrity of the last 3 films but Emma Stone's a pretty good actress and it isn't Sam Raimi at the helm so who knows.

Andrew kissing her on set.
You jelly?
Emma Stone is beyond hot.
Is there really a market for a reboot of the franchise? I mean, all of the last 3 were blockbusters but it just seems like a poor decision to abandon all of the actors and such that have become associated with the various roles.

I think reboots are fine so long as there's a good enough time span in between, ie the Batman movies.

I suppose. I hope they do a better job with the villains this time around.
Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus were very well potrayed.
Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus were very well potrayed.
But Venom was portrayed like shit and they foreshadowed the Lizard forever but never fucking showed him anywhere.

Except the Goblin's costume.
Except the Goblin's costume.
Fuck the Robo-goblin, I want classic style with funny little purple hat. If they give me that, I could forgive them for Spiderman 3

My point was kind of that there wasn't enough time in between these. It feels like the other ones just came out (kinda).

It could have been worse

I kind of like the idea of the reboot allowing them to explore more villains, but I'd like it more if we left Spider-Man as it was and maybe explore and boost up the popularity of other characters of Marvel's. The lesser known superheroes or second-rates.

I love that they're doing a reboot, personally. Toby never really felt like Peter Parker for me. Hopefully this reboot goes well. It's definitely got potential
Although I will say... Bring Bruce Campbell in for Mysterio at some point, that shit was going to be great.
Bump time, picture of Garfield as Spiderman released.

Looks shiny. A bit too shiny?
it looks more real like he actually made it or whatever.
