You all noticed the object falling out of the sky at the very end of the movie where it cuts out to them filming inside the ferries wheel?
My thought that it was tactical nuke (ICBM would have been a quick flash before the camera, and the 2 guys hiding in the tunnel, vaporizes), "Big Boy" or an Fuel Rod Bomb. Where did you get your info?
because it sounded a lot more like it'd just be some normal bombs. would nuking New York really be a good idea? [editline]12:39PM[/editline] http://cloverfield.wikia.com/wiki/HAMMER-DOWN_Protocol and like i said it didn't even look/sound like a nuke
Never saw cloverfield, but I keep hearing you never get to see what the monster looks like? :v:
You all noticed the object falling out of the sky at the very end of the movie where it cuts out to them filming inside the ferries wheel?
Yes
Yes
All right, because that's a pretty important piece of the movie that most people didn't even notice.
You all noticed the object falling out of the sky at the very end of the movie where it cuts out to them filming inside the ferries wheel?
REALLY? I always thought that was a café or something.
All right, because that's a pretty important piece of the movie that most people didn't even notice.
I had to go on a correction spree on YouTube when people were saying it was the monster falling from space
I had to go on a correction spree on YouTube when people were saying it was the monster falling from space
Pretty sure it was a satellite diving towards the ocean, wasn't it? [editline]09:17PM[/editline]
REALLY? I always thought that was a café or something.
What?
fuel rod bomb? isnt that from halo?
Get out of here. I think the right term that most of you would recognize is the "Daisy Cutter". Yeah, I meant that.
All right, because that's a pretty important piece of the movie that most people didn't even notice.
it's actually still to be determined if whether or not it has anything to do with Cloverfield at all. in other words, what dropped into the sea could be Clover/MGP, but in interviews (maybe even a special feature on the BD/DVD) it's revealed that Clover/MGP has actually been at the bottom of the ocean for a very long time. [editline]12:15AM[/editline]
Didn't like Cloverfield too much but by God do I want to know how it all ends
a gigantic dick monster duh
You may as well just ask for a movie that entails a camera strapped to an atomic bomb which then gets dropped on something.
I'd watch it.
Sure there are unanswered questions but I don't think many people care enough to find out the answers
This is what I actually liked, not knowing much that's going on lets you relate to the survivors more, because they wouldn't know what is going on. I'm sure this is what they wanted saying they did the handycam style filming, which I also loved. [editline]09:47AM[/editline]
it was just a bunch of bombs really. and at the end of the movie a soundbite saying "it's still alive" is played backward
Interesting.
District 9 style documentary would be so much win.
D9's cinematogrophy was the most unimmersive thing I've ever experienced in a movie. It starts as a documentary and is pretty immersive with the footage shot during eviction notices. And then it's like "fuck that shit!" and completely ditches it and turns the movie into an action movie (more so than it previously was).
my one real problem with cloverfield was how unceremoniously they killed off lizzy caplan
I honestly loved the movie, at least for what it was. Great monster movie. Intense and felt how people would react to such event. I can't say I'd want to see Cloverfield 2, but if it's somehow interesting or new, sure.

i thought it was that they dumped a bunch of slusho in the ocean or something
REALLY? I always thought that was a café or something.
Your avatar is making me laugh when I read that post. xD
Military P.O.V?
Yeah, but if Clover WAS at the bottom of the ocean, and it WAS a satellite dropping from the sky like I said earlier, then I read a while back (during the viral marketing period of cloverfield 1) That something "disrupted" the monster in its sleep.
I didn't say it was a satellite, and as far as I know, no one official did either. The only confirmation as per whether or not that thing that falls (we don't know it's a satellite, it's just a blurred massive object, don't assume) actually has anything to do with the events shown (keyword shown) in Cloverfield would be if one of the people who were behind the film said "yeah it woke Clover up" But even then, doesn't seem possible, as he/she started their rampage much further off, with oil rigs. (1-18-08.com look at the pictures)

if there isn't a cloverfield 2 i'll be sad. [editline][/editline]
Military P.O.V?
that would be kind of pointless, just shotmonsters & helping everyone.
