IMO there's a difference between actually stealing something and finding it. I personally think anyone that steals any valuable items on purpose should feel bad for the rest of his life and go to hell or whatever. However, i don't see a reason to feel bad if you actually find something. In most cases it's the owners fault for leaving it there in first place anyway.

OP here. So I returned the iPod today. I went into the office and said if they could give this to the person that'd be great. I told them this exactly "Can you guys give this to a kid named Cordell, he's gonna come in asking for his iPod, cause one of my friends stole it and I'm returning it." I told her I wasn't gonna tell who originally stole it, but the office lady said that I needed too. I told her I was gonna remain Anon and didn't say anything until the vice principle came in and I got a chance to talk to her. So I went in her office with her and I talked to her about and she said the Receptionist was a bitch and not listen to her cause she's insane. So she said she wouldn't tell anybody, So I got off dirt free. Nobody got radded out and such.
You have gained karma.
I had a good day too. Like good shit just started happening right after this. Listening to Ice Cube just cause I'm in the mood for it.

I just feel happy when I do something nice, I swear I wanted to get high off that feeling: Biked to the convenience store for some Pringles, had $5 of loose change in the pocket, saw kids at the side of the road selling (Good!) lemonade for twenty five cents, I gave them all the change. A friend was lacking a credit card at the time and he wished he could play some source mods with me after hearing my reactions to Neotokyo. Little did he know, I alt-tabbed and gifted him DoD:S. I also did NOT prod the cat that day and he sat on my secondary CRT monitor, purring. BE A NICE GUY = HIGH ON LIFE
I've got a stolen TI-84 that a friend of mine gave to me. Trust me, you don't feel bad about it if your own calculator was freshly stolen.
Your friend stole yours, gave it back to you saying its another one he stole from somebody. Now you have your own calculator back, thinking its a stolen one, but you don't feel bad about it since yours got stolen as well. :q:
say ITS ALL YOUR FRIEND'S FAULT
Dude, sell it. They dont even have proof that you got it.
You have gained karma.
Last, best hope of humanity.

If' you're even making this thread it means it's on your conscience. For that reason, you should return it as soon as possible, or it will dominate your mind and consume you.
too bad hell doesn't exist and guilt is relative.
Oh, really? I was using it more as a metaphor than anything else.

I found a wallet with ~~500euros on a cruise ship when i was cruisin to Sweden. Anyways i just spent it all, didnt feel guilty at all. It was in the cabin i was staying in, under the mattress.
Put the IPod in the person who you stole it from's backpack when he's not looking then when he opens his backpack, it's there and he feels stupid.
How the hell do parents not notice you got a new ipod?
I never tell my parents anything. I find them to over react about every thing and blow everything out of proportion
shove the ipod up someone's ass
drop out of school - free ipod
The fuck?
Do none of you have any sense of integrity?
Give him the iPod and a around $20. Oh, and make sure to apologize.

I stole my teachers laptop sold it to my cousin and bought a phone out of it, sell the ipod to your cousin and buy something nice for yourself. I am a criminal but it's ok I can't get a charge to stick because I am under 16 ;) Dumbass physics teacher was giving a reward of £10 to whoever returns it lol, I got £120 from selling the damn thing. Who cares if you feel bad if you get something nice out of it you will feel better.
