How about we stop bitching about how fox is a evil christian anti-liberal station and not make these threads?
lol this is one of the dumbest statements that I've ever heard you've obviously never listened to npr
i mean listen to ira glass and then listen to sean hannity, its hard to claim they're of the same species, let alone that they're "just as bad" as each other
Both of the News agencies are propoganda. They are both vying for control of your viewpoint and intellect. In truth, all news agencies are propoganda. I would much rather have an NPR correspondent, however. Fox News is blatantly obvious propoganda, whereas NPR is a tad more subtle, and not nearly as fanatic. If we were in a perfect world, I would suggest utilizing both candidates for the correspondence position, to provide alternating and different viewpoints. Through this, we could decide which side of the spectrum we align with on differing issues. The right wing would be served as would the left. It's a perfect example of united, bi-partisanship.
people hate fox news because of glenn beck and really dumb shitty news stories about video games or drugs or other dumb subjects of course they care about the stuff that's only filler or crazy people rather than the news. when you have 24 hours of news to fill you're gonna fil it with dumb bullshit like video game stories. the other news networks do it to fox news is bad but it's not as bad as the other news networks
thanks.
How about we stop bitching about how fox is a evil christian anti-liberal station and not make these threads?
you're just mad cause it's true i mean this is all you ever post. All you post is some variation "you guys just hate conservatives" without actually debating about conservativism vs. it's alternatives. Perhaps people have a valid reason for hating conservatives
Both of the News agencies are propoganda. They are both vying for control of your viewpoint and intellect. I think it's possible to report without editorializing, and I think NPR is about as close to that as you'll get in the US
How about we stop bitching about how fox is a evil christian anti-liberal station and not make these threads?
how dare people discuss things on forums you're just mad because you're a conservative who probably loves fox
Signed.
I really don't give a shit who wins. It's stupid to think that one media company is all that better than another. They all have their biases.
I really don't give a shit who wins. It's stupid to think that one media company is all that better than another. They all have their biases.
npr isn't a company. It's non-profit. And besides, one organization's bias can certainly be more extreme than another's
I really don't give a shit who wins. It's stupid to think that one media company is all that better than another. They all have their biases.
Not necessarily biased (besides MSNBC) compared to Fox.
lol, Facepunch bleeding liberals who hate :foxnews: I'm a conservative Christian. :v:
lol, Facepunch bleeding liberals who hate :foxnews: I'm a conservative Christian. :v:
wow what an excellent, detailed, and thoughtful rebuttal
wow what an excellent, detailed, and thoughtful rebuttal
Rebuttal to what? See my point? lol.
lol, Facepunch bleeding liberals who hate :foxnews: I'm a conservative Christian. :v:
I know some conservative friends who hate Fox.
Rebuttal to what? See my point? lol.
well it would be pretty dumb to just come in and post a bland observation. this is the point that you've reached. Where you think that "you guys are all liberals" is some sort of argument or criticism
I know some conservatives friends who hate Fox.
Yeah, I'm not saying it's impossible or anything, but you know, I guess I fit the trend.
Does it even matter? It's all government propaganda devised to seed discontent amongst the populace.

Where you think that "you guys are all liberals" is some sort of argument or criticism
Everyone already knows most of Facepunch's community is liberal and atheist.
Does it even matter? It's all government propaganda devised to seed discontent amongst the populace.
and the crazy train keeps on rolling i mean this isn't even a well thought out crazy argument. Wouldn't the goal of a fascist totalitarian regime like the one we now live under be to lull the populace into contentment and complacency, not "seed discontent"?
NPR is the fucking shit, I listen to it on the daily in my carpool. I learned about some singer in Ghana who was basically their Elvis in the 70s the other day. It was awesome, she had a metric shitton of political power and was like a second president.
Everyone already knows most of Facepunch's community is liberal and atheist.
And everyone knows you have the "celtic cross" stormfront logo as your avatar. Fox news is a cog of a corporation. I'd rather have npr than fox news, because they are less biased than fox. I'd feel the same way if it were a choice between msnbc and npr.
And everyone knows you have the "celtic cross" stormfront logo as your avatar.
Your mental association with the Celtic cross is the equivalent of someone associating a swastika with Nazis.
But seriously tell me what this is all about, I don't know who Helen Thomas is or what NPR is, it's your job to tell me if you want me to sign your petition.
Your mental association with the Celtic cross is the equivalent of someone associating a swastika with Nazis.
One is reversed. What's the reason for your avatar, then? Why are you willingly so closely associating yourself with that group, even if only in symbol?
But seriously tell me what this is all about, I don't know who Helen Thomas is or what NPR is, it's your job to tell me if you want me to sign your petition.
Don't you live in Britain? I don't think anyone outside the states should sign this.
Do online petitions even work?
Online petitions...
While NPR is biased, They CONSTANTLY get opposing opinions on issues, allow people to write/phone in with opinions which they put on the air without commentary, and they are the only news source that I've seen that allows people to call in with additional information or corrections to the story, which they air. NPR consistently tries to get the stories right and unbiased. Several time a week they will air a comment from a listener expressing how a story was biased to one side or another. And they do so without comment. Furthermore, I don't know what programs you listen to on NPR, but there are a lot of great broadcasts which are NOT boring. Just the other day on Talk of the Nation, they talked about comic books and super heros for the SDCC. And it was intelligent and analytical and funny. Market Place is a show that not only brings the new, but how the news impacts the economy in a way that actually make sense.
Online petitions...
Better than nothing.
