Really? I love Exterminate Regenerate. And, if you've been paying attention to Charlie and Alex's Youtube pages, they previewed a couple of new ones that look suitably awesome. I *love* Big Bang 2 :)
Forgot about Big Bang 2, that song's probably my favourite :v:
Also Dan, how come you know so much about the next series?
Because I've been single for too long
Because I've been single for too long
I share your pain
Same
I think there's something we've got in common that means we're gf-less, can't for the life of me imagine what
Same, except obviously bf-less. It appears that general nerdiness in areas of awesome isn't appreciated by the Who-less plebs I surround myself with :'(

How you doin'?
...It was only a matter of time :v:

Also, avatar fits
why do you guys like the doctor who music so much
i mean yeah it's a decent soundtrack but listening to it as music every day is pretty weird to me
Just finished "Turn Left" which was mind-fuckingly awesome.
The "Bad Wolf" reveal at the end made me shit my pants. The finale looks awesome.
Side note: Yay! Rose is back!
Also, could someone give me the specials I should have seen by the end of series 4? I realized I hadn't seen the Titantic bit, but they have it on Netflix and I don't want to miss anything good.
EDIT:
Journey's End was awesome.
EDIT EDIT:
WHAT THE FUCK NETFLIX DOESN'T HAVE SERIES 5!
What really ticks me with the new episodes is that the Doctor almost always hangs on Earth during the modern day. If he's an alien with the abilty to travel anywere in space and time, why does he always land on earth during 2005 - 2010ish?
I know they probably do it because it costs less to do those episodes, but if they can make a quarry mine look like the surface on an abandoned planet in the 70's, why can they make up a distant planet on a budget?
I'm not saying they are bad episodes, but if you could go anywhere in space and time, why hang around on the same planet during the same time period?
Just wanted to get that off my chest.

We worked this out a while ago, he's not actually on earth that often.

The specials are set after Series 4 and are REALLY important. They contain Davids regeneration.
The titanic bit was from series 4. The first episode/Christmas special.

Because it's where his companion comes from? Plus Series 5 was spent in a lot of different places. A lot of people think we should return to modern earth more to give us more context. Some say it's what Series 5 was missing.

What Dan said, plus hes over 900 years old and has (I'm sure) at one point said that travel has gotten boring (or something along those lines)

He's pretty much seen everything, so he travels around with humans who've never seen anything that he's seen and pretty much just enjoys seeing their reactions to everything around them

The Planet of the Dead
The Waters of Mars
The End of Time (Part 1)
The End of Time (Part 2)
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
it really should officially be called "Series 4.5"
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
Series 4, Annendum
The Planet of the Dead
Good episode. Watch.
The Waters of Mars
Average episode, watch once then forget about it.
The End of Time (Part 1)
The whole thing is just one cliffhanger. Nothing happens of consequence. You could just watch the intro to Part 2 and not miss anything from Part 1.
The End of Time (Part 2)
Most ridiculous Doctor Who episode ever made. The only redeeming part is the last 15 minutes sending off the 10th Doctor after the actual story is finished.

other way round mate
Planet of the dead kinda sucked, whereas I really liked the Waters of Mars

I recommend www.watch-series.com. I used it to re-watch the Human Nature/Family of Blood episodes. Variety of host links, good quality etc. etc.

Well thanks.
EDIT:
Also, watching Planet of the Dead, it's just decent. Big fan of Malcolm though.
EDIT EDIT:
Yep, Malcolm is the shit. Also, "He will knock four times." Would be significantly more puzzling if myself and two friends hadn't been doing the Master's drumbeat randomly for the last week.
EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Come to think of it, my friend literally knocked four times in beat on my door yesterday.

that scene is probably the worst thing ever made in doctor who ever due to the music being dubbed over it, almost as bad as that one britney spears song in season 1
but you're still cool so you can stay

That sounds promising. I'd watch up to it now, but I have a goddamn research paper to write.

Neat, 14th post in binary.
binary binary binary binary

See the thing is, RTD didn't realise [sp]the four beats could relate to The Master[/sp]. So it's a kinda hint, but it isn't.
[editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
The Specials and second half of Series 4 was the death knell for David Tennant. The writing fell off a cliff and David was left to carry episodes.
Matt took time for a lot of people to get used to, but after you get used to him, re watching his episodes is a treat. While the specials have partly ruined Tennant for me, like somebody else said, he became a parody of himself. The character never changed.

I reckon I'm in there, chaps.

come now, the waters of mars was good and so was the library two-parter
the Waters of Mars always seemed like a giant cocktease to me, the episode kept building up the not really coming to anything.
Although the scene where the Doctor was walking away just listening to the cries for help on the radio was fantastic
Waters of mars made him seen too human.
