Fair enough :v:
Here's a better way:
With the left eye open:

With the right eye open:
[IMG_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/weepingangelrighteyeopen_00000.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
Both eyes open:

So you'd only be able to do the separate eye blink thing when dealing with a single angel, as opposed to a room full of them where you need a wider field of view.
I guess, but for the left eye / right eye thing to work well, the other game mechanics would have to be simplified I think

In what way?
I just get the impression that the blinking mechanic would be fairly complicated, further complicated by left eye / right eye, and then the aspect of running the fuck away from the angels, and other gameplay elements like puzzles etcetera, some things would need to be simplified, like communication between players, or simplification of puzzles to make them quicker or just easier, for the game to have balanced gameplay
Either that or the blinking mechanic only comes into play when the player is told "don't blink", so it feels like the character's become aware that they're blinking or something like that and is consciously doing it

My idea would be some kind of stealth-horror game, like Amnesia crossed with Splinter Cell
By which I mean, outsmarting/not engaging the Angels is always an option
Yeah, it'd be stealth-horror, but there'd have to be puzzles etc. to break up the "ohshitthey'recomingrightatmefucfuckfuck" moments
Could it just not be a survival game mode running in Gmod?
Could be, but it'd be much more fun as a professionally made, full-length game
Trouble in Terrorist Town is more fun than half the stuff I own.

cover-based shooter

P.S, if anyone can draw good, why not draw Mario up against a cadre of Weeping Angels, or the Doctor up against a couple of Boos?
Challenge accepted.

You might remember me making some Doctor Who theme mashups in the past. If you don't, no worries. They were forgettable.
Anyway, I've started to use FL Studio 9 to make music, and as my first song I decided to make a Dominic Glynn theme remix. Hope you enjoy.

I love that plastic synth sound.

That's pretty cool. It's the same style as your display pic, did you draw it?
[editline]5th December 2010[/editline]
With the range of talent in this thread we could start our own Doctor Who review show thing.
We could have hand drawn title cards by Jess
A cool theme tune by Kikka.
We could all write it.
Somebody with editing software could splice it together.
Would be amazing.
What would I do :frown:
Not bad, not bad at all...
What would I do :frown:
I'm sure everybody has great nit-picks with Doctor Who. Simply help write it.
We could do, but we'd never have the motivation to get anything done.
I'm pretty sure that someone in the Doctor Who modelling thread was working on a sort of gamemode for gmod with weeping angels.

Dibs on the... uh.. Smart looking speaking guy that manages to sound smart, when really, he's just babbling.
Dibs on being the cynical bastard who doesn't think it'll ever happen :v:

This is true. Now I have friends and a social life, I simply don't have the time to dedicate to Doctor Who all the time.
Maybe one day

traitor :colbert:
Y...y...you mean, you won't post on here all the time any more? :ohdear:
This may be the end of the world as we know it.
Aw, I love you guys too <3
unless you change your display pictures, in which case, it takes me a day or two to recognize you.
Okay, need your help guys. I've been set a small University assignment and we have to research about Doctor Who, find things about the new Doctor, etc.
Although I need to suggest a new location or era for a new episode, any ideas?
