Hahahahahaha.
lintz why do you have so many posts in this thread
what the fuck
SO I just finished watching the finale, I have to say that it's pretty epic and confusing...
I got so pissed when I saw "Doctor Who will be back: Christmas 2010"
Seriously that's a long time...
I feel like re-watching series 1-3 now.
Is it just me or does series 1-4 seem to be majorly lesser in quality to 5 in most aspects?
In other news: We're the only people on the internet to use "ƟƩ φ ɼϒΔϟ"

The stories in Series 5 seem to have a lot more depth to them compared to RTD era ones.
Your link didn't work because of character encoding.
Here's a real one:
Anyone have a slightly higher quality of that? I made this. But it ended up being 6mb, and I really can't be arsed resizing it.
How do you make GIF's? do you use frames or cut parts and then convert them or use a program or what?

Loved it. Wow. What a great episode.
Went on Facebook, saw "Doctor Who was crap".
The guy never says crap, he seriously hated it. I mean, WHAT?

I wasn't too fond of it myself...
I'll admit, Part 2 didn't seem like it continued from Part 1. They seemed like very different episodes.
That's how Moffat rolls!
After he did Empty Child RTD pointed out, if you have a direct cliffhanger, it makes the audience feel nothing has happened in that week. So now, every two parter doesn't directly follow. It takes it from a different perspective.
If you ask me, it's why every two parter usually sucks. Time of Angels didn't do it, and it's the best two parter I've ever seen.
Same for Human Nature, Empty Child and World War Three.

Empty Child <3 Seriously one of my favourite Doctor Who episodes at the moment.
So Amy is a flash drive full of TARDIS and backups.
In a few months.
We got an egyptian god. The Orient Express in space. And the queen.
Wow.
I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I was expecting something more epic, more concrete, more... just there. But it felt very... wispy? It was just sort of there. I at first thought it was disappointment, but I think it was more confusion and just how I'm feeling at the moment. It didn't feel like nothing happened, but it does.
Honestly, what I think it was was pacing, not in a traditional sense though. It felt a tad weak as a finale, and it just felt REALLY crammed for some reason. I honestly almost think this should have been a 3-part episode, though there was nowhere the series could be clipped. I'm fine with it, though, as long as the solid feeling the rest of the series had is back next time. I honestly just think it's a mix of sadness it's over and confusion even though I completely comprehended it all.
I don't think the "public reaction" to this one is going to be that great, though. Just have a feeling.
I have to say that was amazing.
Sorry but I have to say I loved how we saw bits of things like Amelia's drink being snatched and how that linked up later on. My best part was where the Doctor realised he [SP]gave the sonic to Rory[/SP] then realises he doesn't have it in modern times, then goes back to him and tells him to put it in his top jacket. Genius.
It seems as the episode was longer, it was split into two episodes
Episode 1: The Museum and The Exploding TARDIS
Episode 2: Exploring the past
It seemed everybody loved Episode 1, but Episode 2 was simple.
I think the main disappointment was the fact it was too easy.
"I WILL NOT BE REMEMBERED"
"I REMEMBER HIM!"
-Problem Solved-
Then from then on, it treated everything we knew like nothing.
"How could we forget the Doctor?!"
And a blue box just plopped itself in nowhere and everybody is just:
"Oh so her imaginary friend is REAL?! PARTY!"
That said, public reaction is off the chart, and so is everywhere else.
This is one of those times that Facepunch is the odd one out.
[editline]12:30AM[/editline]
But all in all, each threat was dismissed to easily.
"DOCTOR IN PANDORICA"
-Doctor not in Pandorica-
"AMY IS DEAD"
-Amy is now not dead-
"DOCTOR IS DEAD"
-He lied-
"DOCTOR WILL DIE IN BIG EXPLOSION"
-He doesn't-
"Nobody will remember him!"
-They do-
It was jumping from one problem to the next, each solved with a piece of dialogue.

But the Dalek begging for Mercy?
Fucking win.
[editline]12:37AM[/editline]
But really pisses me off:
"Well a great finale, but a poor start to the series. Doesn't compare to previous ones"
I see this in every online article? The fuck?
Did they forget how wild they went for Episode 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13? All these episodes were being praised everywhere, now suddenly it's "Well they were shit"? Make up your mind, you can't claim at one second it's the best episode ever, and then decide it isn't! 8/13 episodes were called 'Best ever'. Have they foggoten previous series? It seems to me every reviewer is saying "I remember Blink, Human Nature, Midnight, Turn Left, Empty Child, they were great" but forgetting they were all in separate series and Series 1 - 4 was 90% filler. Every week the critics cried the episodes were getting crapper. But soon as RTD shits out a series and calls it 'Special' everybody has a complete turn around and treats the RTD years like they were a flawless masterpiece. if RTD never said he was leaving and make a big deal out of it like the show would fail without him, people would remember.
It seems people are calling series 1 - 4 masterpieces because they are choosing to not remember the negatives.
I made this in Photoshop earlier today.

Mercy!
Mercyyyyyyyyy!!
But as shown in the museum, all the animals were deleted from history.
Doesn't this mean that there couldn't be plastic shown in parts of the museum, because there would be no oil?
edit: But if there was nobody else and they were the anomilies, then how was the museum built.. and the pandorica?
I HATE THIS MINDFUCK.
Like they said, time was fucked up and was deleting itself retardedly. That means that animals could have gone but the discovery of oil + making plastic could have still been around.
Thread will probably die now until Christmas/the next adventure game. Bye, chaps.
