I'm sort of in shock that so many of you actually think that Primeval is better than Torchwood. It's never appealed to me and, from what I've seen of it, I thought it was pretty shockingly poor. But then, each to their own, maybe I should give it more of a chance (I only saw the older ones).
Watching every episode of Primeval and it reminds me of how Torchwood should be or a better version. Concept of a time portal of creatures coming from the past or future is a brilliant idea. Makes Torchwood look like crap, except Children of Earth.
The new series is being taken very seriously. Apparently it's wrapped up and let's no spoilers out. I think they're going to make Torchwood huge in the US. The plot for this series, in-case you hadn't heard is that nobody on the planet is dieing.
i'm really hyped for torchwood
The plot for this series, in-case you hadn't heard is that nobody on the planet is dieing.
source?
Children Of Earth was really fucking great, so I'm looking forward to The New World.
Hasn't it been renamed now to day of something? [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Miracle Day
The plot for this series, in-case you hadn't heard is that nobody on the planet is dieing.
Actually it's the complete opposite, [sp]the whole planet has become immortal.[/sp]
Actually it's the complete opposite, [sp]the whole planet has become immortal.[/sp]
wat How is [sp]everyone becoming immortal[/sp] any different to [sp]nobody on the planet is dying[/sp] They're exactly the same thing, just worded differently

You best be being dumb on purpose boi
No, I'm deliberately making a fool of myself.
:psyduck:

To have the effect of nobody dying. If you consider how many births there are a year then a story spanning 5 years would be better.
wat How is [sp] everyone becoming immortal[/sp] any different to [sp]nobody on the planet is dying[/sp] They're exactly the same thing, just worded differently
Oh shit, bad reading. I read that as "the planet is dying". Silly me.
Well, that seems like a terrifying dilemma, choosing between immortality and the life of the Earth itself.
Sounds like that one Simpsons episode where Bart (or was it Homer?) kills the Grim Reaper casuing everyone to become immortal :v:
I finished my Glynnlike Deep Space remix. I really like how this one sounds, so I might make an extended or closing version later on.
I hope there are no Daleks in the next season, Since 2005 till last year, the daleks has been in every season.

So Peter goes straight into the Clam and shows everyone he can't die, and soon homicidal hilarity ensues.
Well, Family Guy mighta done it, but I do remember a Treehouse of Horror episode where Homer killed Death with a bowling ball, thus causing everyone to not die, until he ended up becoming the new Reaper for a while. But back on topic, do you think the "immortal everyone" plot will have something to do with someone extracting the immortality from Jack?

Just realised that in the finale of Series 4, one of the main plot points was about the stars going out as the reality bomb did its work... Whereas in Series 5, Stephen Moffat decided to go one better than RTD and make all the stars go supernova. At the same time.

Hence the stars going out etc, or am I looking too into all of this?
I don't think they're related - in my opinion, Moffat's probably more likely to come up with something original rather than hark back to one of RTD's older stories.
Maybe if we're talking alternate universes, the reality bomb went ahead and blew in the alternate world and leaked through the cracks? Hence the stars going out etc, or am I looking too into all of this?
Well, the only way that would be feasible would be if it happened in an alternate multiverse, as in a different set of dimensions. But that's just theory, as is the prospect of a pre-Verse being similar to The Beast being behind it all, although that has a bit more of a potential foothold due to similar skin-writing and Ood Eye Glow. (the green is unfamiliar, but looks like the similar psychic possession thingo)
The more times I've seen "The Beast Below" episode, the more it frustrates me. Continuity is just awful. When the Doctor and Amy land in the Star Whale's mouth, they look towards the jaws and can see teeth and the mouth beyond - but the Whale's head is in space, surely? Also, at the start, obviously no Star Whale can be seen and the head must be inside the ship. At the end, the Star Whale's body is a hellova lot longer than the ship, but at the beginning, you couldn't see it at all. Also, at the end of the episode when Amy draws comparisons with the Doctor and the Star Whale, she notes they're both "very old and very kind". The Doctor never told her how old he was at that point. As far as she was concerned, he could have just been in his thirties... It's always niggled at me, and spoiled the episode somewhat. Maybe I've just overlooked bits. Any help, anyone?
I never liked the Beast Below, by far my least favourite episode of the series.
It's one of my favourite episodes from Series 5 :frown:
But it suuuuucked :saddowns: [editline]18th January 2011[/editline] I mean, it was good up to a point, but then after that it sort of went downhill and got more and more ridiculous, it had the makings of a good episode but eventually it just left me like, wat I think the fact that it had the potential to be a good episode, then failed, made it even worse for me.
The next word is kinda the scary word. You probably want to take a moment, get yourself in a calm place... go OMMMMMM. It's a... Tongue. [editline]0[/editline] We're in a mouth... Yes, but on the plus side... Roomy
