I think I will have to dig out my dream journal and type up a few of these Who dreams of mine, some of them are pretty good - some form out like episodes, some I'm actually in amongst it as Amy or the Doctor, or an assistant.
And because of stumbling across my friend's son's toy sonic screwdriver last night whilst babysitting, I managed to have ANOTHER Who dream. Set in the underwater tunnels that the Shadows of the Vashta Nerada Adventure Game was set, roughly.
Back when Series 2 was going on I dreamt Daleks came into my school and captured the science teachers so they can build a big weapon. I escaped but the Slitheen came for me.
I love how you all say this like it's totally normal for anyone over the age of 16 to dream about being in Doctor Who
I was very under the age of sixteen

My Who dreams started last summer. I'm going to Uni this year. Whether this is a fail or win, I am undecided.

You're 18? I thought you were younger for some reason.

I'm 17. Yeah, I type sort of childishly I guess.
I would say it's a win, as having a mechanism for Time Travel in your dreams is not something most lucid, or otherwise, dreamers can claim.

Well that's good then. Besides, when I have Who dreams, they're probably the most interesting in terms of action and complicated plots and characters. I really will type some up once I'm done with my coursework, might give you guys a laugh.
I never liked the Beast Below, by far my least favourite episode of the series.
It had a very "Save the Whales!" vibe to it...
I mean, who thinks up the kind of name: "Starwhale"?
:psyduck:

I didn't mean like 12, I meant like 15-16
Wow. I just had one of those moments, y'know, where you're thinking of something, then BAM! You create something amazing, this piece I just thought up would actually work as an episode, because it's not something that's been done, and it really makes the viewer think.
Post idea? Y/N
Enlighten us, and we shall see.

Post idea - receive ridicule
Do it.
Well. Rather than most enemies being crazy aliens that all want "UNIVERSAL DOMINATION LOLZ" Infact, I cannot think of an episode in the newer series. (2005+) where Humanity itself has been the villain. Sure, we've had episodes where one of the badguys was human, (See: Last christmas special.) But they never really seem that bad. I mean, most of them are just idiots that end up giving in, or conceding due to the Doctor's interference. The idea I had imagined was of an episode set in Britain, where Mankind has set itself a goal, a challenge. Mankind, under the influence of a dictator, a leader, mankind has been twisted into the enemy, the Doctor does not fight aliens, or monsters in this episode, infact, not a single other-worldly being, (Minus the Doctor himself.) is seen in this episode, all the enemies are human, believing in the words on the leader, believing that humanity deserves to be leaders of the Universe.
The episode would focus on Humanities dark-side, with the doctor working with the resistance to bring down the "villainous" leader. Partway through, we witness the resistance doing some pretty nasty things, such as torturing captured soldiers for information. With the doctor torn between allowing this to happen, and potentially bring down the government. Or stop the resistance, and continue letting the citizens of Earth live in a totalitarian dictatorship. With the doctor choosing the former, and his companion(s) choosing the latter, our protagonists are seen fighting with each other. Eventually, the doctor travels up to the office of the leader, and the final showdown, begins, not with fighting, but with words. The doctor, convinced that the leader is wrong, and that this is wrong, attempts to destroy him. The leader, attempts to show the Doctor that the majority of people are happy, and that these sacrifices had to be made for the good of all.
Eventually something would happen, and the Doctor would sabotage "The Tower" (The leaders office and headquarters) The final shot would show the Doctor standing in a smoke filled office, with the leader coughing and scrambling towards the Tardis. The leader would grab out for it, just as it fades out, leaving him stranded inside his collapsing tower.
Yeah, it was just something to show Human nature, and the Doctors darkside, which I think is something amazing that is rarely fully touched upon. Feel free to criticize, ridicule, enjoy.
The Silurians portrays humans as bad guys. And Silurians.
Humanity abandons the earth at one point, I would like a story where they return to find it claimed by the Silurians, and The Doctor has to choose a side that isn't humanity.
Apart from those new silurians were kinda rubbish enemies IMO.

I don't know. I'm watching the new Silurian episodes right now (I literally just finished watching the first of the two parter), and I actually think that they are a good enemy, because they aren't truly the "bad guys" - it's humanity's turn, just like Rowtree suggested.
I'd like to see some more stuff like this. In fact, I'd like to see alien settlers than have sort of been hiding in the human population, MIB style. I think that would be interesting. They draw attention to themselves for something, the Doctor unearths a whole alien underground behind closed doors. Would be cool.
That's actually a pretty cool concept, but it sounds a little more like a SJA or Torchwood story than a DW story I reckon.
I quite like a story where there's no clear good guy or bad guy. It's kind of reminiscent of the mid series of heroes, everyone is good and bad in their own way.
Didn't Heroes start turning rubbish around halfway through the series?
A friend recommended this show to me. I'm almost done with the first season and its pretty decent so far.
Rowtree's suggestion actually sounds kinda cool.
I just really want to see some episodes off earth and without the human race.
Didn't Heroes start turning rubbish around halfway through the series?
Yeah it did unfortunately, and that's right when they had the idea of Good & Bad character going at once, if only they had succeeded, it could've been a very interesting Ethical Dialog as well as an excellent science fiction program.

Heroes went downhill on the final episode of Season 1. The fight scene was a horrible anticlimax. It set the tone for everything that followed - pure disappointment.

Thanks :D I remember making a Torchwood one a while ago getting into stuff like this and was decent at the time, although I may aim to recreate one that's different I guess.
