I reckon The Big Bang deserves 10/10
Would have got 10 if it had also answered the "Silence" story arc.
I really REALLY like the idea of 'the Silence' being some terrorist group, and that 'silence will fall' isn't the world being quiet, but it's the downfall of the actual group.
oh god please
Killed a good man.
The Master.
Now of course, you just realise that the master is a mortal enemy of the Doctor, but this does support my theory of Vincent Van Gogh being the Master. Why? Because the Doctor was helping Vincent. So this could turn the Master into one of the Doctors friends. Vincent could be the Master because he says in 'Vincent and The Doctor', "Can you not hear the colours?". Him being the doctor also explains why the Townsfolk hate him, and why he was harsh towards the Doctor at the beggining of said episode. Furthermore, at the beggining of 'The Pandorica Opens' he is clutching his ears, as if the drums are too loud. Also Vincent Van Gogh in our time dies, so thats why River kills a good man.
Also, Vincent has a beard, and it would be customary for Moffat to give him one.
ITT We Rate Series 5:
1. The Eleventh Hour - 8/10
"Can I have an apple?". After an opening like that, you can have anything you want. For 3/4 of this episode Matt is doing his best David Tennant impression, it was intended to show he is still the same man, and it worked well. But when he put on that costume, went to the roof and said "Basically. Run!" I jizzed. Bar far the best opening to a series and finale-worthy material. Great introduction of the leads. The only let down was the untapped potential of Prisoner Zero. He did a lot of running and hiding but never any plan. It felt like Scooby Doo meets pantomine and I expected The Doctor to stand up and shout "HE'S BEHIND WHO".
But I enjoyed it.
2. The Beast Below - 7/10
Not as good as the Eleventh POWER. But good Who. Some really memorable scenes and excellent expansion of Amy. But in Moffs blind desire to expand Amy, he left The Doctor feeling rather un-expanded. It felt like The Amy Pond show even though I enjoyed it.
3. Victory of the Daleks - 6/10
The redesigned Daleks are the only thing making this story worth anything. I really like them, they're nice and big and have personality. Downside, they're too bright, give them a metal polish not a plastic shine. Also the guy playing Churchill did a lovely job. Down side, huge downside. The performance from Matt, was in a word, his weakest. In this episode he lacked Doctor gravitas and Amy lacked personality.
Their first episode filmed was Time of Angels, any performance issues were covered up by excellent direction. Here, the director seemed clueless. Really ugly sets not due to design but camera angles. Piss poor direction.
4. The Time of Angels - 10/10
5. Flesh and Stone - 9/10
This is it! Matt Smith becomes KING DOCTOR. Beautiful direction. Wonderful story and ANGELS!
Yeah. It rocked. Part 2 fails for me as it didn't have that same epic feel. Can't put my finger on it.
6. The Vampires of Venice = 8/10
ROOOOOORY! Funny! Action packed! Beautiful! Decent Who! Nicely done! Let down by some dodgy CGI and plot holes. Like, why do the vampires only sometimes burn in sun?
7. Amy's Choice - 8/10
ROOOOOOORY! This was clever! Really clever! If any episode of Doctor Who makes you think it's this one. I can't really find anything to say. The only downside being how the problem was simply space dust.
8. The Hungry Earth - 8/10
9. Cold Blood - 8/10
I love the Silurians, real deep villains. But the redesign is a disaster without the mask. Hungry Earth had atmosphere and character like no other Who story. I'm sure some shout at the TV when the Silurian was killed. It was nice to see Rory do something. Shame it wasn't a lot. Cold Blood would have a lower score if it wasn't for the fact we learn more about the cracks. And that.. SAD ending..
10. Vincent and The Doctor - 5/10
Ehugh. Started good, but after the first fight with the giant invisible chicken, I was lost. "Giant invisible chicken", only on Doctor Who. What is this Monsters problem? It breaks into Vincents yard, makes a mess, gets poked by a stick, and runs. Total crap middle for the whole episode. But then the ending was beautiful. Officially making this episode average.
11. The Lodger - 10/10
Flawless. My god. Matts best performance. The last one filmed, but his best performance. I was laughing from the first line. "I think I see a Rymans". I can't flaw it, I loved it all. So fuck you.
12. The Pandorica Opens - 10/10
13. The Big Bang - 10/10

Making Vincent the master removes all emotional impact.

In the classic series he was burned alive but came back alright.
With no explanation.
He ALWAYS comes back.
The Master is on Gallifrey with rassilon and the other timelords, he can't come back any time soon.

I'd still like to see John Simm as the character, but a two part storyline in which he regenerates again or something. I think Simm's master would seem more for 10th Doctor than 11th.

No he isn't, his fate has been undecided.

How so?
Brian Blessed should be the master. He should have a fez. And whilst the Doctor and the Master are fighting over it, the fez flies off and accidentally hits a button that turns on an evil army of new aliens.
Then the Master gives the Doctor a piggy back ride while the doctor sonic's a load of things.
Amy and Rory are in the locker room making out and stuff while river is arguing with the 3 leaders of The Silence, the presenters of Top Gear and then the army controlled by the Silence gets hacked by the Doctor and the Master and then the alien army destroy the members of the Silence. Then Jeremy, the leader, is dying and river questions his motives, he goes on about how the Doctor has always caused his family some problems, then flash back to all of the time in that series that the doctor has done something to a family line through the time travelled.
How so?
Master and Vincent are completely different characters. Making Vincent the Master would completely break ... everything.

Hey, YANA forgot everything as was a completley different character.
Yana isn't someone who actually existed though.
Also I don't exactly get how Yana is an acronym for You Are Not Alone. I don't think the Master would think "Hey the Doctor might still be alive when the rest of the Time Lords die out so I'll give myself a name that really subtly hints to him that I'm the Master when I turn human" or anything.

Joining the craze
1. The Eleventh Hour - -/10 I never saw this episode, didn't know of Steven Moffat so I assumed it'd be another RTD bit of rubbish like the last 2 series'
2. The Beast Below - 8/10 Got me back into Who.
3. Victory of the Daleks - 4/10 Hurr, Spitfires in space and the power of Love! Had potential to be good, liked the new Daleks
4. The Time of Angels - 10/10 Oh yeah!
5. Flesh and Stone - 9/10 Enjoyed it, lacked the tension of Time of Angels though.
6. The Vampires of Venice = 7/10. Some silly fun, enjoyed it massively. Also, the aliens looked awesome.

8. The Hungry Earth - 6/10. Standard, not bad, but competant.
9. Cold Blood - 7/10. Alright, again a bit lacklustre.
10. Vincent and The Doctor - 10/10. I loved this episode, though I did think the alien looked like a Chicken. Loved the actor playing Vincent, and Bill Nighy!

12. The Pandorica Opens - 10/10. Shit hit the fan and I LOVED IT.

You NEVER saw the first episode? How did you relate to everything in the rest of the episodes? For me that episode was just AMAZING.
My friend sent me this on MSN, pointing out the ringed blue box as it may be a reference to the TARDIS blue box. Then he also went on about how that product hasn't been produced since about 2007, and the time of the episode is set in 2010.

Never did, I saw a bit of it in a shop window, the crack opened and an eye looked through, I didn't register that it was Doctor Who, then next saturday I got invited to a friends house and we ended up watching Doctor Who.
My only real concern with the Big Bang was there was no clear villain. As The Phantom Menace showed, this can be tricky to do effectively, which is why I hope Moffat doesn't screw everything up the next series.

[*]Yes it went missing. Says so in Doctor Who magazine. But Steven fixed it and Matt read it two weeks ago. He says it's incredible.
[*]It's not a flashback episode. I can't believe that Digital Spy is so crap at news. They got this from Sylvester McCoy.com which is an troll website. Since it went up Tennant fangirls have been going ape.

Use digital Spy for news only. It claimed The Big Bang had poor ratings. It didn't. It had the second highest of the whole night and got an appreciation index of 89. Digital Spy don't get ratings.

Got to say, you're on to something there.
I noticed it in the latest episode, then promptly forgot about it until I saw that picture.
