You know, I somehow doubt it's going to actually kill the Doctor. Captain obvious, but yeah. Also, I love how it's all still run by RTD except the main show.

i agree with you!
plus, if bbc kills the doctor (in both the real show and spin-offs),
THE FANS WILL BURN DOWN THE BBC NETWORK STUDIOS! MA HAHAHAHAHA!
the doctor is going to be in a future episode of the Sarah Jane adventures, watch is going to be titled THE DEATH OF THE DOCTOR.
man,you now it is going down hill with spoiling the episode by naming it after the spoiler.

I removed the spoiler tags because it's no spoiler. That's like saying because Indiana Jones being called The Last Crusade means it's going to be the last adventure when they originally planned 6.
They won't kill The Doctor off in a spin off, atleast not as early as the fifth episode. Also, that episode has Jo Grant in it, which in my opinion, is far more interesting than The Eleventh Doctor and Sarah Jane. Jo Grant and The Doctor should have happened back in Series 2. She was only 100% better than Sarah Jane.
Finally saw the second part of Revelation of the Daleks, holy shit, that is the darkest most violent story I have ever seen of Torchwood.
Dead bodies being turned into Daleks, the weak being turned into food paste and that scene where a blokes head turns into a dalek brain or when Davros has his hand blown off. Holy shit. It was incredible.
Explosions, Black Daleks VS White Daleks, a badass assasin, an awesome twist and a gun that fires THE POWER OF ROCK. Incredible.

what
Haha. It was so dark my brain thought it was Torchwood.

:colbert:
I'd love to see a really hardcore Dalek/Cyberman battle in Torchwood that is super violent.

This can't be true
Is it true
Please say no.
I think it's true, but SMoffat said he was going to do something about that in one of Matt Smith's series

You better be wrong
John Nathan Turner (producer of 80's Who) said once:
"If we can find a way to keep bringing The Master back. We can find a way to bring The Doctor back"
Followed by a massive applause.
And he's right.
HE BETTER STEAL MORE OF THE MASTERS LIFE LIKE LAST TIME >:( /caps

Fuck Yer.
I don't know. I almost want it to end, maybe go back to 1st Doctor, or even better, continue the series by going back and telling the story of the 8th Doctor. That's one of the things I like about the series and the Doctor himself. Absolutely legendary, long-lived, and seemingly invincible, but it's still mortal. I'd honestly feel cheated if they went 13 the whole time and then in the last 3 or so Doctors did some random retcon entirely out of character for the Doctor to get him more life. I want there to be some sort of finality, if not an infinite cliffhanger.
I want one where the doctor loses. Interesting twist.
There's a way to gain more lives but now that Gallifrey is destroyed and stuff it's impossible for him to do so.
As in, the high council can grant new regenerations.
HE BETTER STEAL MORE OF THE MASTERS LIFE LIKE LAST TIME >:( /caps
That would probably work, except Russel T Davies made the Master all "vampiric", where he had to continually eat to restore his lifeforce. I doubt the Master's lifeforce would be of any use to the Doctor... Besides, it'd be cruel, like stealing food from a starving orphan, and I don't think the Doctor's even REMOTELY capable of stooping to such a low level, even if he did kill off an entire nest of Racnoss babies.

That's not true at all, from what i've seen on Gallifrey Base, Colin and Sylv are more likely to appear in "My Faviroute Doctor" than 3.

Yeaaaah.
Though Liz Slade appeared topless in a film not long after her Doctor Who time. That was pretty hot.
Was that an awkward yeaaaaah or a happy Yeaaaaaah?
Final figures are now available for the BBC HD showing of Doctor Who: The Big Bang and give the episode an official rating on the channel of 0.58 million viewers. This, along with the previously reported figure of 6.12 million viewers on BBC One, gives the episode a total rating of 6.7 million viewers. Full details for the week are still not available, but it is likely this will make Doctor Who the 10th most watched programme of the week.
Final figures for the whole series show that, despite recent press speculation, Doctor Who is still achieving remarkable ratings for the BBC and remains one of its most successful products. Once consolidated figures are published then the five series of the show, shown since the return in 2005, have all achieved remarkably similar average ratings of around 8 million viewers. Matt Smith’s first series just out-rates David Tennant’s first two series but comes behind Tennant’s last series. The variable earlier start times given to Series 31 compared to recent series appear to have resulted in more of the audience recording the show for later viewing, meaning lower overnights, but balanced when final consolidated figures are published
In terms of Chart position, once HD figures are included, Doctor Who has finished in the weekly top twenty throughout the series, with seven episodes finishing in the top ten. The high was 3rd place for The Eleventh Hour and the low was 20th for The Lodger, shown against World Cup football. The average chart placing was 12th, which again is higher that achieved by three of the previous four series.
One of the big successes of the recent series has been the take up on iPlayer. This year was the first time the whole series has been available during its run. Over 2 million have now accessed The Eleventh Hour and it has become by far the highest accessed programme in the BBC iPlayer history. The iPlayer simply measures those who have accessed the programme and no data is available to covert this figure to ratings in the conventional sense. However the figure does give an indication of how popular the programme is with the audience.

How are ratings measured anyway?

victory of the daleks
pandorica opens
genesis of the daleks
there's probably more but that's all I can think of right now
I think Fires of Pompei was a kind of "losing" episode, since he caused the death of thousands of Pompei citizens when the volcano erupted, even if he did defeat the Pyrovilians and save the world.
Also, on the subject of Captain Jack, in The Empty Child, he said Pompei was a good place to place spacejunk and pass it off as valuable, but to "watch out for Volcano Day". So how come we never saw Jack in Pompei? Unless he was fooling around in some harem downtown before he sped off before the eruption... Yeah, that'd be a good explanation, knowing Jack.

He only may have heard of the same scam being pulled off rather than him doing it himself. But your explaination is much more fun.

Did they have any harems in Pompei in the 1st century?

He goes back in time to stop the creation of the Daleks.
Ends up being a major player in their creation.
Has direct involvement in the destruction of all life on Skaroo.
Leaves.
