I genuinly think the special guests they DO get are crap. "HEY LOOK! Random person from EastEnders! Yeah yeah, Classic Who could get John Cleese but look! It's a person your don't recognise!"

CONSTRUCT A TARDUS TO GO BACK IN TIME AND WARN YOURSELF OF POSTING THAT PICTURE!
But I remember hearing the Doctor say in one episode that TARDIS's are grown not built. Or am I making stuff up? [editline]09:45PM[/editline] After reading some of the doctor who wiki, I came up with an idea: [sp]What if Doctor River Song is actually Jenny?[/sp]

Gave the meta-doctor a piece of coral when they sent him back the parallel

I hate how Tardises are grown. Knowing how they're made completely ruins the magic of them. Not to mention it's half arsed. How is a huge, complex, multidimensional machine that can travel anywhere in time and space made? THEY'RE GROWN ROFL ALSO DALEKS ARE BACK THIS FINALE YET AGAIN WITH MORE DRAMA AND WIN BUTTONS THAN EVER BEFORE

Oy. Russel was pretty good for the first two seasons in my opinion. Then in season 3 he just started making some "Fuck it" decisions and got careless. I raged so hard when he gave The Master infamous powers.

Seasons 1-3 were fine. Season 2 was the weakest but it was still good. It went downhill with Season 4.
hardly an obsession, i just think she's smoking hot and not a bad actress either.
Don't know how anyone can disagree with you to be honest :colbert:
I think you guys are twatty to be fair. If RTD didn't write so much you wouldn't hate him so hard. He was a genuinely good writer. He brought back the whole of Doctor Who and made it bigger than ever. And honestly, judging by ratings and Appreciation Index, I'm in the majority when I say Series 4 was fantastic. [editline]09:28PM[/editline] Honestly every series has been godly and I wouldn't suggest anybody miss one, sure I have my favourites but when it comes to Doctor Who, nearly nothing disappoints. [editline]09:28PM[/editline]
Speaking of Hugh Laurie, House starts again on Monday.
In the UK?
Only problem I ever had with RTD's writing was in End of Time, what he did to the Master with that resurrection. As for House, it starts very soon in the UK (Sky one are running ads) but I don't know the exact date. Close to the US broadcast dates however.
To me the best episode of each series was written by Moffat. Strange that.

Imagine if somebody said the daleks weren't actually a being in a machine, but the machine itself was the dalek and it started out really small like a baby, and grew Completely ruins them, doesn't it

What's worse is that its grown from a piece of coral, but that implies that all tardises must have the coral theme. And they don't. Obviously.
Personally I just pretend it never happened and Tardises are machines that have some sort of regeneration technology implented due to the timelords having studied it on themselves for so long
The Doctor explains how a Tardis works, properly.
Now THAT is clever.
I like his analogy
When the doctor said that the TARDIS's were grown, I assumed that it was the core of it that was grown, and the machinery was built around it, seeing that the Doctor said that they were sentient (not sure).

I don't really mind the whole Tardises being grown thing. Okay maybe I don't really like the idea of it being "alive" and all. I just like to think that since it's probably so hard to make the entire inside, they 'grow' it sort of like those tunnels they grow in Stargate. There's a "Retro Sci-Fi" challenge on b3ta. http://b3ta.com/challenge/scifisequel/popular Some of the entries are quite funny and Doctor Who related.
