I still want a Doctor Who RTS or team based shooter with different species.
I would actually play this.

Although there'd be the problem of the Daleks: have them in as they are now and they'd be horrendously overpowered, nerf them and they'd lose their scariness.

NPC only
Might try and get a copy of Gal Civ no. Whatever and make a race based on one of the Doctor Who aliens that have empires or fleets for other reasons, like the Judoon or the Sycorax.
Perfect thread to ask:
Cheap Bowties/Tweed Jackets/Suspenders?
I'm going to a Halloween party as The Doctor.
if you find it man, tell me. I'm doing the same. except for the comic convention in town.
I would love a SPORE-like Doctor Who game, especially if the Daleks were like the Grox. But only if it was like spore's early development
get off the subject you great lummox. Jesus fucking christ. I regret even coming into this thread. I came here to join the discussion about doctor who and because i made small talk relating to my likes and dislikes you all decided it'd be a great fucking idea to start poking fun at me until you started shooting at each other blindly assuming anyone new was me.

I wouldn't because Spore was just not very good
Maybe something a little better than Spore
I said Spore-like. Only if it was advanced as it was mid-development.
NPC only
shares the same problems I mentioned, unless in very small numbers.
also fuck yeah at CG getting perma'd
Clearly we could make a better Doctor Who game than these dick wipes.
Also, CG getting banned isn't so great. He always finds a way to post.
Telltale making a Who game would rock.
Yeah, Telltale said Doctor Who would be a dream job for them when it was rumoured it was them working on the adventure games.
I wouldn't be surprised if the episodic adventure game thing is based on their ideas.
Just saying, you're giving him the attention. Ignore him and he'll get bored..
I think a point-and-click adventure game would work best for Doctor Who, I'm sure one has been made before but the more the merrier :frogbon:

Adventure games are point and click, really.

Telltale should totally do the next series of Doctor Who Adventure Games. After all, they do pretty good adventure games.
Doctor Who is a franchise that could be extended across many genres of gaming, like Star Wars. You could have everything from RTS, Point-and-click, FPS or Turn-Based Strategy.
[editline]05:29PM[/editline]
of course, the problem is execution
We just need the right people to make the right renditions. And that'll take a while unless the BBC observes how well the Star Wars franchise blossomed.
i see it best as a point and click. rts and fps dont make too much sense unless its more of a torchwood game. doctor hates guns. doctor works in small groups.
Well I haven't been around these parts since Series 4 finished. Ahh Good times. Might start visiting here more often.

I'd like a first person Doctor Who game in the style of Amnesia or Penumbra.
I'd love to see a Doctor Who Lego game.
Would suit the thing perfectly, and I'd love to see a cute little lego Dalek.

That'd actually be pretty cool. Plus the studio that makes all the lego titles actually know how to make decent games out of the different subjects they have, like Star Wars and Batman.
The question is, though, length/story of the game.
Would they introduce a new story? Or would they try and squeeze as many episodes from the serieses as they could?
So, so far we have this list of Doctor Who games that must be made...
Doctor Who Lego
Doctor Who Penumbra-style
Doctor Who Point-&-Click Adventure Game
Any morefor people to add to the "must make" list?
A Doctor Who RTS.
Or a Doctor Who game that plays similarly to Star Wars Battlefront.
You aren't the Doctor, but you can play as the Sontarans, the Cybermen, or whatever.
Doctor Who: the Text Based Adventure
Doctor Who Battlefront
What about a Doctor Who RPG in the style of pen-and-paper RPGs?
(it could be called Doctors and Daleks)
