I've played Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo: Reach respectively, and the greatest thing I can see about Halo 4 having is all the new features. There looks like there is so much being added onto this game with it still having that Halo feel. I thought I was done with Halo after Reach cause I could not stand Reach, but I am actually very very keen to get this game. It just looks so amazing.
I feel the same way.
I agree, but I don't think they made it impossible I think they just made it so they encourage the flag carrier to commit to his role a bit more.
Maybe, I wonder if will you be able to drop the flag if you get in a vehicle?

I've played them all and I've always felt there should have been more emphasis on Multiplayer than what Bungie has done. It always felt like the same old thing over and over and this time around it looks like 343i is giving it a lot more thought and attention and I admire that. They fixed Forge by making it easier and more approachable. They gave the different game types the changes they needed to feel like separate game modes rather than just slayer variants as well which is the biggest gripe I've always had with Halo MP. I don't play Halo MP mainly because each game feels the same.

I really love the care and dedication 343 is showing, Bungie showed it but not all to well. I have faith Halo 4 won't be a big disappointment but we'll see what happens by Christmas time.

He has another one on Exile.
Why can't every game have awesome dev videos like this?
I'm really excited for this and hope it goes to PC, but the ordinance ting and the situational reports are basically kill-cams and kill-streaks. Sort of changing the style of multiplayer game play from the original halos a lot. And what I really loved about that was the simplicity of it not these perks, kill-cams, kill-streaks and loadouts.

They're really just for marketing purposes but they are still pretty neat. I do prefer Bungie's vidocs over 343i's though.

I think the Ordinance is only for Spartan Ops and other specific gamemodes but I might be wrong.

Kill cams dont really put me off in Halo. Its not like CoD, where knowing someone's position as he killed you is very advantageous. As for the kill-streaks, they apppear to just be weapons, which I am okay with. Its not like you're gonna be calling in a helicopter that mows everything on the map down without you raising a finger.

It's not putting me off to it, I'm just saying it's definitely a major change from the original halos, I mean the fact alone that you can choose the weapons you spawn with changes the whole game play style a lot. And as much as everyone keeps say it's not it seems VERY reminiscent of Call of Duty multiplayer...
I mean perks, loadouts, killcams, killstreaks, and seemingly faster deaths are all thigns I'd never expect to see in a halo game.

Well the ordinance is just calling down a heavy weapon or a special grenade. We wont see pelicans doing bombing runs* or be calling in a hornet gunner.
*Pelicans don't do bombing runs, but you get the point.

I hope Halo 4's Limited Edition has a behind the scenes disc (forgot if it does or not) and it better have a scene in there where the development team goes out to game day and play volley ball and shit. It was funny watching them do that.
The change that concerns me is that now you can use a pistol while carrying the flag. I mean the magnum is a pretty great weapon, I thought the idea was the flag runner needed people to protect them. I've played a lot with just the magnum and wrecked people.

But they let the flag carrier use the magnum to encourage teamwork.
I've always liked the Halo series, and I actually really liked Reach.
My favorite thing has always been the vehicle combat.
It's just so fun driving around in a warthog with two other people getting into intense fire fights.
I've not bothered looking at most content with Halo 4, but from seeing this video, it seems it's going to be a lot of fun.

I think the Halo 2 bts had something like that.

Yes it does. I have Halo 2 Limited. I'm just hoping that Halo 4 will too because I love behind the scenes videos. It says that they have Behind the Scenes for Forward Unto Dawn, but nothing about the game itself.
Please name 10 things that make it similar to Reach.
1 It has Halo in the title
2 You play as a spartan
3 There's unsc weapons
4 There's covenant weapons
5 Armor modification
6 Custom gamemodes
7 Forge
8 Same vehicles from older games
9 Xbox exclusive
10 Medals
IT'S LIKE THE EXACT SAME GAME!

It's probably to make up for the [implicated] fact that you can't just drop the flag now, keeping players from doing advanced switch tactics that don't involve death but giving the flag carrier a little more defensive leeway. And considering the different abilities, weapons, and other factors added into the mix that can play against you, having something on-hand is better than running around with the flag in your hands and being unable to drop it for even three seconds to try to shoot your attackers.
I think the only things I will touch are the campaign, Spartan Ops, and Forge.
Multiplayer only when I am bored. But other wise this is shaping up to be another fun halo game.

I have to agree. It is a very jarring difference, but I am actually interested in seeing how it works out.
And honestly, I feel the people saying that none of its features are reminiscent of CoD are all lying to themselves to some degree. I understand CoD didnt invent classes and whatnot, but they definitely took a few pages from their book. Not saying its a bad thing though.
This looks great n all but nothing will beat the halo 2/3 multiplayer imo
I think I am excited for this game, but I cannot convince myself to shell out the money for it. The additions to multiplayer look good (save for maybe the changes to CTF, but I'm sure there is a classic mode... right?), forge looks better than ever, Spartan Ops will be interesting. I'm sure the campaign will be as good as always, but I can't help but feel the Prometheans are kinda wonky. They look like bionicles and dont look all that fun to fight, but that's just me.
Shaping up to be the best Halo game yet, I am definitely going to get this one on release date. Also new, free co-op levels every week? That's kick ass and a big middle finger to DLC.
why the hell did they take the video down, i started watching it last night then decided i'd finish it today and it's gone wtf
Killstreaks? Loadouts? What happened to Halo's fun arena combat?
I am thrilled to try out the new walkers in the game.
Battle for Zion, anyone?
Killstreaks? Loadouts? What happened to Halo's fun arena combat?
Halo's fun arena combat is still very much intact, especially in the classic playlists. They aren't really killstreaks, as you don't accumulate points for kills, but medals, and what you do get with the when you do earn the reward is a choice of 3 things. 2 different weapons, or a powerup, all of which already exist on the map you are playing on. As for load outs, they worked out just fine in reach, even better this time around as you start with the non power weapon you choose, but at the same time they already exist on the map.
