How much DPH do you take?
I've been chewing Silene Capensis for two days. I can not do the brewing method because I live in a shitty dorm without a kitchen but still, it works. I had my first two full nights of sleep in weeks after just chewing a small chunk each night. Everynight I had dreams too. They aren't spiritually enlightening or trippy or anything but its one of those dream that you feel satisfied when you wake up. Maybe I'll try larger doses but yeah. These roots works a lot better than Calea, which worsened my insomnia when I vaped it.
[QUOTE=peabrain101;44312321]How much DPH do you take?[/QUOTE] I do 50 to 75 mg. I should note that tolerance to the drowsy effect seems to build fairly quickly. DPH is definitely not a nightly thing.
[QUOTE=BLOODGA$M;44310333] Melatonin is still inconclusive thus far, I need to do more tests, more comparisons to baseline etc.[/QUOTE] The thing about melatonin is that helps dreams indirectly by suppressing REM sleep and causing REM rebound later in the night.
Doesn't alcohol also do that?
Yes and also weed, which is why a lot of people report vivid dreams during tolerance breaks.
[QUOTE=oscarr;44312462]Maybe I'll try larger doses but yeah. These roots works a lot better than Calea, which worsened my insomnia when I vaped it.[/QUOTE] Have you tried vaping it with weed? I find that it hits me better when I'm mixing it with weed. By itself it affects me in a totally different way.
For anyone who has tried it, how does it affect sleep quality? Do you feel any more or less tired in the morning?
[QUOTE=Garry #2;44365434]For anyone who has tried it, how does it affect sleep quality? Do you feel any more or less tired in the morning?[/QUOTE] I think it's difficult to compare, but I am usually well-rested in the morning. If you take the time after a dream to write it down somewhere every time (as I do) then that can get in the way. But overall it does seem to help a little bit. [editline]26th March 2014[/editline] Again I assume Calea when unspecified substance

[editline]26th March 2014[/editline] Again I assume Calea when unspecified substance[/QUOTE] Alright. Because I was hoping this might be able to help get a better nights sleep. I think I also read somewhere that dreaming more positively affects sleep quality but I might be wrong. Also the supplier you provided for calia is out of stock. Is this the proper stuff? [url]http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-oz-Mexican-Dream-Herb-c-s-Calea-Zacatechichi-/321328058047?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ad0a50ebf[/url] [editline]27th March 2014[/editline] Just kidding its not out of stock I'm just blind
I suppose you read the listing for Calea seeds, not foliage, which is perfectly well in-stock. That listing on ebay does pretty much look like my stuff though. Or at least it looks like a new supply... I'm running low, I'm down to the shavings...

Ordered some last night, pretty excited to try it out.
[QUOTE=katbug;44372589][url]http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fresh-Alepedia-amatymbica-roots-aka-Ikhathazo-1g-3g-5g-10g-14g-20g-28g-/321287478455?pt=UK_Metaphysical_New_Age&var=&hash=item4ace39dcb7[/url] Pretty damn cheap[/QUOTE] Not compared to the other substances, especially considering that as I said, any reported mass is deceptively small because the actual product is very quite dense. Sure you can spend like $2 and get a gram... like, one-two cigarettes' worth. [editline]27th March 2014[/editline] If you actually select the same amounts as are available at [url=http://www.bouncingbearbotanicals.com/alepidea-amatymbica-p-756.html#.UzSvkaaDBhF]BouncingBear[/url], the Ebay prices are significantly more expensive...
Christ what an elaborate dream I've just had! Oneirogen or not, anyone, know that the most elaborate, clearest dreams come about when you take a nap in the middle of the day. Christ... My dreams are so elaborate and vivid that I experience things and don't know if they really happened or not! Was there a Dale County in GTA: San Andreas? I don't think so, but there was in my dream - and I couldn't tell you if it was true or not! [editline]27th March 2014[/editline] God damn! I used the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and was literally teleported back in time! Amazing! [post]44376914[/post]
I ordered a quarter pound of Calea and also a quarter pound of Mugwort. We'll see how it plays out.,.
28 grams of calea just arrived! How long before bed is the best time to smoke it?
Calea and all of them seem to have quite a persevering effect (go cold turkey and you'll still dream for a few days, it seems). It shouldn't tremendously matter, though I'm sure that it can't hurt to go as close as possible. You may have to keep it up for a few days to get the full effects.
This stuff sounds neat. I don't tend to dream often, not memorably anyway. Think I'll order some come summertime or before.
Calea and mugwort came in - I will be [I]damned[/I] before I can roll this mugwort into a cigarette!
I took galantamine again last night and had several false awakenings one after the other. In each dream, one different thing was amiss, such as my bed oriented in a different way, my digital clock being off, my wall clock on another wall, or just waking up in an entirely different apartment. I failed to realize every time and lost every opportunity to have a lucid dream. [editline]7th April 2014[/editline] I also got a flashback of my psilocybin trips inside my dream, seeing the wall stucco textures dance and move around as if I was tripping again. I also had close eye visuals (I don't know if that's proper to describe it, since dreams are technically close eye visuals :v:) of an infinite 3D lattice of small cubes. This is about the 4th time where my dreams have been psychedelic.
Just smoked my first joint of Alepidea Amatymbica, the buzz is strange. It's comparable to a 1/10 of weed except without any anxiousness. It doesn't make your thoughts cloudy either, it just sort of quiets your mind a bit. I'll try smoking one before I sleep and report back if I have any neat dreams.
I added a new blue entry about Mugwort into the OP! Check it out. It's very resistant to rolling into cigarettes! A rolling machine does [I]wonders[/I] with this plant, though.
This + weed habbit = dreaming again?
[QUOTE=insistent;44505140]This + weed habbit = dreaming again?[/QUOTE] Weed suppresses rem sleep so This + weed habit - weed habit = dreaming again.
Can I just eat some of the listed items? I don't smoke and never smoked anything in my life.
Ah, hm. People have reported making Calea into a tea, and I think Mugwort too, with some levels of success. [B]Calea tea tastes horrifically bitter though.[/B] Some people have bought little gel capsules and swallowed Calea. I would not recommend ingestion for entada rheedii or for alepidea (which isn't that good for oneirogenic purposes anyway). I would possibly try to convince you to just roll it up and smoke it, but IDK if that's a dick move or not.
I finally got a lucid dream for the first time in a while, but like the others it faded away too quickly. But the rest of the dream was so detailed. I was at the beach with my family and I could feel the grains of sand on my legs and feet, and getting sunburned too. I think I'm experienced enough with galantamine to write a section for the OP.
Go ahead brah [editline]13th April 2014[/editline] Do it outside of quote tags so that I can hit "reply" without the text being hidden
[B]What is it?[/B] Galantamine is an alkaloid extracted from some flower species such as Galanthus caucasicus (Caucasian snowdrop, Voronov's snowdrop), Galanthus woronowii (Amaryllidaceae) and related genera like Narcissus (daffodil), Leucojum (snowflake), and Lycoris including Lycoris radiata (Red Spider Lily). It is mainly known as a prescribed or over-the-counter supplement that helps relieve the symptoms of Alzheimer's and dementia, but has also come to light as an effective oneirogen. It works by inhibiting the breakdown of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter known to mediate dreaming. [t]http://www.apollogenerics.com/images/Galantamine.png[/t] [B]The good:[/B] @ It is a legal supplement, which you can get off Amazon for example. @ One of the more powerful oneirogens, in my experience. It lengthens the REM stage of a sleep cycle, and makes dreams detailed, vivid and easy to remember. It should be taken in the middle of the night after 3 sleep cyles, or 4 and a half hours into the night. @ Extremely easy to take - it comes in pill-form. No need to bother with grinding, brewing, rolling, or smoking. @ Apparently good for memory, since they do prescribe it to Alzheimer's patients. [B]The bad:[/B] @ Fucking expensive. I had some gift cards to spend on Amazon and they were on sale when I got them, but the regular prices should speak for themselves. @ You can develop a tolerance, which they call become desensitized, to the stuff so you shouldn't take it every night. I've been taking it every weekend and I still feel the effects into the next week so it's fine. @ Apparently there are side effects, but only for doses prescribed for Alzheimer's patients. Oneironauts usually take a fairly low dose (4-8 mg a night) compared to the prescribed doses(~24 mg, several times a day). I personally haven't felt any of them but they include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia (weight loss), headache, abdominal pain, fatigue, slow heart rate, depression, sleepiness and fainting. Of course you should do your research.
