You can jerk off to anything and make it sexual, nudist pictures are no exception. Just because it's of children doesn't mean it should be a double standard. The whole "HOWEVER, if someone re-uploads another kid's nude picture it's wrong." is bullshit. I can reupload any picture for any purpose, at least one of them is valid. Maybe I owned a nudist colony and had the parents' permission? Broad statements like that are wrong.
In this example people are treating it as a sexual thing and that is uncool. Of course no one's getting victimized sexually but to put it up and sell it in a sexual connotation it is wrong.
However, there are undeniably those who are exploiting this for personal sexual gratification, and even profiting off of it.
You can't excuse someone gathering nudes of children on the internet and going, "Hey man, I'll let you have some pics of this hot ten year old for $20." If it's sharing with other nudist colony members or family members via Facebook or something, cool. It's on someone's deviantArt as art? I don't like it, but it's alright. Putting them up as xXxHOTUNDERAGECHICKSxXx? No. And you can even apply that to adults. If I was in a nudist colony I'd be offended to all hell if someone was selling my pictures for fapping.

Distributing nudist photos of underage children should be illegal because they can't give you legal permission. I guess that's where guardians come into play but I am not sure about it. What if they are ok for their kid's pics to be distributed as long as they get paid. I know I'd feel enraged if my parents did that, even if I received no physical abuse. Also you don't need to look suggestive to be shot on purpose.
I fail to see how it's harming the children.
This. The children themselves are not being exploited sexually or harmed in any way, as it's a consequence of their lifestyle, ergo it's just an unfortunate byproduct of some people's attitudes towards the material derived from their lifestyle, and it's not worth restricting the nudists way of life for, as it would be violating their "basic human rights." Yeah, I think that parents and nudist colonies selling those videos/pictures is morally reprehensible, and maybe should be looked into, but at the same time the children are not actively being hurt/damaged by it, mentally or physically, which is the reason we crack down so hard on paedophilia and child pornography usually. [editline]23rd November 2011[/editline]
the laws don't cover what you can treat sexually as that'd be bordering on thought crimes.
Also this. You can't stop people taking things outside of the context they were intended to be taken in, and to attempt to would be horrifically Orwellian imo. We don't have to like it, but attempting to restrict it would be far worse morally than letting it continue.
While it's definitely a bad thing that there's people who profit on selling the pictures, and people that get off by looking at them, I think that we're simply blocking off too many persons' rights. It's like in Denmark last year, where there was a lot of controversy about a law saying that you cannot carry a knife with a blade larger than 7cm. Not even in your car. At the same time, the minimum punishment was made larger. This is a law that many obviously break everyday - when you go to the mall and pick up a knife for your kitchen, and some people need knives in their work. A man in his twenties was actually arrested, when his car was searched and they found a knife. He used that knife for his work, where he cut up cardboard boxes (among other things). That man hadn't been punished before, and while he didn't go to jail (AFAIK), he had to pay a fine and he'll have it on his personal profile for the rest of his life, making many jobs unavailable to him. He was trying to become a cop, where one of the requirements is that you may not have received punishment before. Guess how that went. What I'm saying is, that while the law may hit a few people that deserves it, it'll get people that have done nothing wrong accused, as well. I don't think that it's a good idea.
Nudist children photos aren't pornography unless there's sexual acts being committed. They're perfectly legal and morally acceptable.
You may be able to argue that it should be legal, but selling nude pictures of your kids to paedophiles is most certainly not morally acceptable.
You may be able to argue that it should be legal, but selling nude pictures of your kids to paedophiles is most certainly not morally acceptable.
I didn't say that selling nude pictures to paedophiles is morally acceptable. I said nudist children photos are.
I think each situation needs to be judged on its own merit here- if the intent is clearly to sell "CP" to pedos, then some legal action needs to be taken. However, it just isn't right to shut down every "naturist" website just because a minority of its visitors come there (no pun intended) to masturbate.
