I thought the QoS was pretty much forgettable and unimportant. The idea of the organisation was nice though and if it pops up again I wouldn't mind
there were parts of Quantum of Norwich that I thought genuine, the dialogue was fairly redundant though. It's such a shame it was a direct sequel..
the thing that I know should have checked at the door is the whole multi-actor thing if each actor series is the only bond to exist, then why does he ask [sp]q about a exploding pen and has a old movie rigged db5[/sp] but then if its a codename [sp]why did the gravestones have bond on them[/sp]
They said the Craig stuff is a new story arc, not linked to the old stuff.
Q = [sp]Quartermaster?[/sp] M = [sp]I'd really like to know![/sp]
Q = [sp]Quartermaster?[/sp] M = [sp]I'd really like to know![/sp]
why did you spoiler tag this? M means Manager. :>
Still, Mendes is a pretty good director. My hopes are high if he's still hanging around.
Just pretty good? He's pretty much turned the idea of what a bond film is supposed to be upside down on its head, and not sucked in the process like QoS did. Great film, Mendes is an awesome director. Not sure If I like it better than Casino Royale, but objectively it's a very good film.
Q = [sp]Quartermaster?[/sp] M = [sp]I'd really like to know![/sp]
Fleming once said he wasn't going to tell what M stands for. So unless I missed something we'll never know what M is abbreviated from.
One of the best opening sequences in a while
They said the Craig stuff is a new story arc, not linked to the old stuff.
Furthermore to add to your point, the canon established in the games implies all the stuff in the old films happened, just with Craig and in a modern setting. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline]
its hinted at in casino royale that m stands for the persons real name [sp]in skyfall the new m's name is gareth mallory for example[/sp]
[sp]Imagine her name is literally Em, short for Emma. Maybe that's what Bond found out in Casino and was so amused by. [/sp]
One of the best opening sequences in a while
That bit at 1:53 or so really reminds me of Live and Let Die.
I was quite a bit happier with this movie than Craig's other two movies, as it definitely felt a lot more like a Bond movie, rather than just a Bourne inspired action movie like the previous two. Though I still haven't change my opinion that Craig just doesn't really fit as Bond. It doesn't make any sense how he could possibly charm anyone in the movie considering how incredibly unattractive he is. (Possibly the funniest bit in the whole movie is when he's hiding in M's house and all you see is his silhouette with his gigantic ears sticking off his head)
Since we're discussing the opening sequence.. High Quality without credits Daniel Kleinman released it a while ago.
at least hes not roger moore
Roger looked good in his first 3 movies After that, nope

Amazing movie. And to think we still have two craig bond movies left.

I really enjoyed it. Definitely the best Bond film. The one thing I really didn't like was the 'ew look guys touching guys how evil/disgusting' angle with Silva.
The one thing I really didn't like was the 'ew look guys touching guys how evil/disgusting' angle with Silva.
I don't think that's what they were going for at all.
I do think he went too far though in that one scene. The chest rubbing was enough, enough for the audience to go 'aaahh I get it'. He was inspecting Bond's wound, but also being sensual. The leg grabbing took it a little too far - like they were trying to make a point of it and hit the audience over the head, rather than just have it be a character quirk.
Also what was with Silva's [sp]facial disfigurement[/sp] that never got mentioned again after the first time. That was cool as fuck
thats because he is i know craig is definitely handsome, but i think dalton is the most attractive one, second being connery
Yes. just look at that suave stare
Since we're discussing the opening sequence.. High Quality without credits Daniel Kleinman released it a while ago.
That should be the official music video for the song...

I think it was just something put in to show what agents have to go through if they get [sp]captured/tortured[/sp]

It seems like something a bond villain should show off all the time.
I'm sure he'd try to keep being disfigured fairly secretive. It's not a winning strategy to scare the shit out of your henchmen.
Gotta say, i loved all the shoutouts to the previous ones. Definately my favorite of the Craig movies, but The Living Daylights is my favorite overall. That one had a pretty good balance between goofiness and seriousness. EDIT: I've always thought the camp and goofiness were a core part of the bond experience. Because of this, i liked Moonraker. This may or may not invalidate my opinion.

thats actually richard kiel's, good try though!
What was with the Helicopter crashing into [sp]Bonds family estate.[/sp] The entire thing just fucking explodes like it was packed to the brim with gas tanks.
