secretary to M and james and everyone else i think
We may find out what M's full name is in Skyfall, the film is about her past. Bonds trying to save her through out this film. [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] DB5 hell yes. [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] Potential ending spoilers too. [sp] Skyfall is actually the name of a house/lodge - Skyfall Lodge - That is owned by Bond and it is rumoured to be where the film will end. Possibly a big showdown between him and Silva?[/sp]
god he looks so much like an official hired thug. it's that blank stare craig does. i don't think any other bond had a 1000 yard stare, or at least one anywhere as good as his. it certainly rival's christian bale's intense thousand yard stare, for which anyone who's seen american psycho knows what look i'm talking about (when he looks at paul allen's card, when he's taking off his face mask film cream stuff after his shower). it's so great because that's exactly what he is. not this flamboyant international man of mystery (even though he still kinda is). [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] i mean dr no had this shitty cardboard and aluminum dragon tank.
Funnily enough, I was watching an episode of 24. The phrase "the sky is falling" triggered an attack on an MI6 office. All the agents were killed.
fuck me that suit is mint

I wish Martin Campbell would direct all Bond movies. He directed the only two Bond movies I really enjoyed: Goldeneye and Casino Royale. One thing I'm certain of, Daniel Craig at some point in the movie, will be falling from a great height.
One thing I'm certain of, Daniel Craig at some point in the movie, will be falling from a great height.
Falling and getting hit in the nuts seems to be a prerequisite in Daniel Craig's Bond.
I think Ralph Fiennes with throw him out of a plane, then somehow James Bond will have this gadget to enable him to fall safely:
I mean it's like Uncharted and Nathan Drake. He keeps constantly falling on his face, you learn to expect it. "Hey what's this, a loose pipe 20 stories high. HEEAYYYYAYAYRRGGHH UH, ouch"
It doesn't break the point of the character ffs. I don't know how many times I've had to shoot this line of thinking down in this forum. The almost cartoon like cardboard cutout character you seen for 20 or so films is not what the original character, as wrote by ian fleming is intended to be. Dalton attempted a darker more accurate portrayal of bond before, as much as he could with in the confines of studio pressures, but Craig is easily the most accurate bond so far. This is just like when we had that thread of people crying like bitches because the dumb martini drink schtick was going to be axed. Martinis were never a staple of the Ian Fleming novels, he actually drank whiskey more often. He's a government employed professional killer, of course he's supposed to be cold and calculated. I can't be the only one who thinks Bond is better played as more or less a driven sociopath.
I never had a problem with them scrapping the idea, but replacing it with Heineken? It's not right to me.
I never had a problem with them scrapping the idea, but replacing it with Heineken? Most of the product placements you hardly notice. [editline]25th June 2012[/editline]
I wish Martin Campbell would direct all Bond movies. Can't wait :D
I quite like the idea that 007 is only a code name, passed on from agent to agent. Thats why we can go from Pierce Brosan pulling off cheesy one liners to Daniel Craig smashing a guys face into a sink in Casino Royale.
Although technically Craig would be the "first."
Well not really. The older films would be 007 agents during the cold war, then Goldeneye takes place afterwards. At the beginning of Casino Royal when he get's his "double 0 status", that is the next agent in the long line of 007's/James Bonds.
just a quick question regarding the bond series [SP] there was one film in which at the end, the bad guy was fed a explosive pill and kept hiccuping bubbles, and eventually exploded the entire place. Was that a spoof film, or was it supposed to be semi-realistic? (or was it not bond at all?) [/SP]
But James Bond isn't a codename.
Ah crap sorry, I messed up the post then. The whole fan theory is that James Bond goes hand in hand with 007. James Bond is also a code name, and it's passed down from agent to agent. It's the first entry on this cracked article "How is the same 30-something special agent who fought the Cold War-era Russians now taking on post-9/11 terrorism? The Theory: There has been a theory among fans that there is no one single James Bond, but that "James Bond" is a codename passed on from one agent to the next as each retires (just as the titles of M and Q pinball from agent to agent). The theory explains the agelessness of Bond--note that Daniel Craig's Bond became 11 years younger whereas Judi Dench's M aged by four years."
The theory explains the agelessness of Bond--note that Daniel Craig's Bond became 11 years younger whereas Judi Dench's M aged by four years."
Be sure not to connect Craig to any other Bond because Casino Royale was an official reboot which established a NEW timeline. Craig's Bond is not the same Bond from any previous film no matter which theory is used : )

Who cares if hes lived from cold war to modern times and never aged. That's not the point of the films. You may aswell pick up on the huge number of villains that he has killed and are almost never spoken about in the other films.
I wasn't criticizing the films, I was just jumping in with that theory because everyone was talking about how Daniel Craigs Bond is more cold, and more like he is depicted in the books, that theory nicely explains why the agents all act and appear different.
lol, he thought James Bond regenerated from actor to actor. :v:
