I hope this is as good as I thought Casino Royale was. Quantum of Solace was too generic for my liking.
What I hated the absolute most about Quantum of Solace was it's frantic clipping and pace. Especially compared to Casino Royale.
Skyfall is two minutes shorter than Casino Royale (142 mins) - second longest film in the series.
It begins...
Kate Muir @muirkate
I just gave SKYFALL five stars in The Times. A return to classic form and a great British bulldog of a movie. Plus the Aston Martin DB5...
Kim Newman @AnnoDracula
I really like Skyfall. Feels very Flemingesque.
Jane Crowther @totalfilm_jane
Bond rocks. You will squeal in delight when Bardem and Craig first meet. Corking.
Kevin Maher @KevinTMaher
#SKYFALL V strange film. 80 mins of Bond movie followed by 40 mins of Straw Dogs.
#SKYFALL Shockingly ugly SECOND Heineken prod placement. First one cute. Second, ugh.
#SKYFALL saved by Bardem. Class act.
#SKYFALL not too sure about Daniel Craig's Action Man goatee and Josef Goebbels haircut (around the ears!).
* Perhaps also worth noting that Kevin Maher says there is not a gunbarrel opening. Hmm... Another reviewer says that there is though.
Alastair Bennett @AlastairBe
#Skyfall possibly best Bond film of all time. Top drawer. See it
Boyd Hilton @boydhilton
Well I thought #Skyfall was incredibly, massively satisfying.
Skyfall reminds me of The Dark Knight Returns. It takes time to deepen the characters & let us enjoy them, in the middle of all the action
Graham Norton @grahnort
Bond is back!!! Skyfall is perfection!!!!!
Time Out London ‏@TimeOutLondon
Just seen #Skyfall it was amazing! Mendes has done something extraordinary. Dark, sexy and genuinely emotionally harrowing.
British GQ @BritishGQ
Just seen #skyfall. Daniel Craig is magnificent - you will not be disappointed. Roll on another 50 years of @007
Vassos Alexander @VassosA
The new Bond film is tense, thrilling, tremendous. Funny in places too. Bond back on form #skyfall
Olly Richards @olly_richards
Skyfall a very strong Bond. Enjoyed that the scale weighted more on story than action, in Casino Royale vein. Performances excellent.
James Mullinger @jamesmullinger
Well, Sam Mendes may have created the best James Bond film ever. After all the photocalls & hype, Skyfall somehow exceeds all expectations.
Anita Singh @anitathetweeter
Heineken product placement in #skyfall fairly subtle. Unlike Naomie Harris yelling "THEY'RE IN THE AUDI" during opening chase scene
Geoff Hill @geoffhill5News
Lucky enough to see the first screening of the new Bond film Skyfall tonight. Classic Bond style and humour with a modern plot...
Ally Wybrew @AllyWyb
Loved #Skyfall. Great villain, great script and a real return to Bond form.
Chris Hewitt ‏@ChrisHewitt
Don't have a lot of time as #Bondaoke beckons. But Skyfall is, for me, Craig's best Bond by a country mile.
Cineworld Cinemas @cineworld
Just out from seeing Skyfall. All i'll say is that Sam Mendez has played a blinder with the most personal Bond since OHMSS.
Richard Pallot @richpallotitv
Just seen 1st ever screening of skywalk. Quite possibly best ever bond ever. Twists to send shivers down your spine
James Day @James_Day_Metro
In case you're wondering the new Bond movie #Skyfall is really quite superb
James Robertson @_JamesR
Just watched James Bond: Skyfall. IT'S F'IN AWESOME.
Hari Patience @Hari_P
Was just one of the first 1600 people to see #skyfall. Does not disappoint. Can't reveal much due to spoilers but 10x better than QofS
#skyfall did actually joss a few of my personal canon bits about Bond. But I can't tell you what as there's #spoilers
Nihal A @TherealNihal
Bk to an old school Bond film, Bardem is brilliant. References to old school Bond but felt a little too long #skyfall #makeupyrownmind
Rupert Bhatia @alfredooo
So the new bond film is different... big change of direction. quite good though.
Craig Stevens @craigstevens
Skyfall is fantastic, the edginess of Casino but with a strong story over set piece and smart humour. Craig's finest Bond.
Michelle Johnson @chelleajohnson
Guys I am so happy. #Skyfall. Watch it.
Go and see #SKYFALL. See it. Don't deny yourself the film of the year. Holy god. #Bond #JamesBond. #1hundredstars
Olivia Osborne @livsosborne
Just seen #skyfall brilliant. Bond is back
Louise Pepper @loupepper
Just saw #Skyfall LOVED IT. Don't read any spoilers or reviews just GO
Niall Doherty @NiallMDoherty
Skyfall was amazing. Best film I've seen this year (yes, even better than TDKR) and poss my new favourite Bond film.
Becky Sunshine @Becky_Sunshine
#Skyfall is totally bloody brilliant. There it is. Not going to spoil any surprises, but def worth seeing!
Scott Weller @koolafficianado
1st UK press screening for SKYFALL. Verdict: Solid and exciting but lacks the verve and impact of CASINO ROYALE.
Richie Firth @RichieFirth38s
Just seen #SKYFALL - never been more blown away by a movie ever. Amazing.
Daniel Krupa @danielkrupa
Well #Skyfall is the best Bond film ever made.
Dan Jolin @DanJolin
Skyfall, then: yes, way better than QoS. No huge surprises, but great fun. Proper classic feel, while keeping the Casino Royale edge.
Andrew Billen @andrewbillen
Just out of the premiere and Five stars for Skyfall. Best bond villain for years, and funny and Bond cries!
Dan Storey ‏@DapperDan
So ermmmm yeah #Skyfall is absolute class! The perfect mix of vintage Bond & slick, modern day action thrillers! Well played Mr. Bond!
#Skyfall is everything Quantum should of been. Craig absolutely owns the role & makes it his bitch. Best film of the year? #moveoverlooper
It's too early to say but considering I've just ploughed through almost every Bond film in the past month it's possible #Skyfall is the best

also this probably will be Judy denchs last bond film because she apparently has macular degeneration, so she's slowly going blind, too bad though, Craig is a great refresh to bond, I got my fingers crossed for more Craig bonds
Now that really sucks. I preferred Judy Dench as M.
What I hated the absolute most about Quantum of Solace was it's frantic clipping and pace. Especially compared to Casino Royale.
Some scenes made me feel ill with the constant shot changes during frenetic action sequences.
Now that really sucks. I preferred Judy Dench as M.
It almost sounds like they're setting up a reboot of the reboot. I really hope Judi Dench doesn't go now though. I'm just glad we're getting a proper 'M' story. She has always dismissed that her condition is affecting her in a major way and that she has no intention of retiring.
Den of Geek: http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/23024/skyfall-spoiler-free-review
Plenty more out there, but a nice mention of a rock solid camera, compared to QoS.
I am so excited for this film, definitely going to see it in Imax if possible.
They keep playing the goddamn theme on the radio. Three times I've walked downstairs and sat down just to hear it start playing again. I get it, Adele did another thing, whoop dee fucking doo.
Dude it's
A) New
B) Done well in the charts
C) Well liked
D) Good
As a radio DJ and can tell you it's a good one to play. It's on nearly every stations A-list
The theme song is growing on me
it's the first bond theme in a long time that actually uses parts of the original 007 theme and structure.
A good... what... thirteen years?

Honestly, I haven't heard the song once on the radio. Is this only in the UK?
I think I heard it once here in Finland.
Take the bloody shot..

That was awesome.
One thing I'm already fond of is the score. Thomas Newman, after all.
Just watched a couple of trailers. This looks like a real Bond film and it looks like it's going to be a fantastic one. I can't wait.
So I watched my first ever Bond films this week.
Do you know when there's something (TV, band or film) you hear about and read about and know you'll really enjoy but never get round to trying it. Yeah that's me and James Bond. My mum was always super against Bond, she hated it for whatever reason. She's only seen Goldfinger. The point is as a result I've not been able to enjoy Bond growing up and only recently I got Love Film and thought I'd rent the last two as this one looked exciting.
I fucking loved it. Fucking class. I watched them back to back which people here suggested to make Quantum of Solace enjoyable. But despite a very rushed plot which wasn't entirely inviting it was still a fun watch. I'm gonna get Bond 50 on Blu Ray for Christmas or I plan to. In the mean time I might get Goldeneye Reloaded and Bloodstone or something to fill the wait after Skyfall.
So excited for Skyfall. Bond is fucking awesome. My mum came round and watched them too. Also really enjoyed it.
Good move =)
In the mean time I might get Goldeneye Reloaded and Bloodstone or something to fill the wait after Skyfall.

The games are not bad, they are very mediocre. Decent 7 games most of them. Everything or Nothing has to be the best "post Goldeneye" Bond game.
EDIT: Nightfire is good too. The PC version sadly lacks driving sections.
Nightfire is worth a play at some point also, IMO.
Nightfire for PS2 is easily the greatest bond game ever made.
Nightfire on the playstation 2 was so awesome.
I just wish the bond games had a bigger focus on stealth and espionage, rather then just being normal fps games with some spy gadgets. (looking at you, 007 Legends)
I don't think it can be considered "infiltration" when you end up killing every single person in the base. :v:
goldeneye will always be the best bond game, obviously.
the remakes were such a great idea, daniel craig is a fantastic bond, he's kind of like a mix between connery and brosnan imo.
Take the bloody shot..
I won't lie, Judy Dench looks pretty old in that video.
A graceful 77 year old woman who actually looks like a 77 year old woman. What a refreshing sight, she looks great! =)
I still have to watch Quantum of Solace.
I still have to watch Quantum of Solace.
You are not missing much
You are not missing much
no true bond fan will want to miss elvis

Look at that new wave haircut. Truly the most fear inspiring of all henchmen.
