Just came back and I really liked it. I think I like it even more than Casino Royale because they treated all the main characters well, it had some funny moments, some dark moments, a villain that was "fun" to watch and a solid plot, plus Bond isn't a rookie anymore. As for a Bond movie it doesn't have a bad guy that wants to take over the world, which I think is stated in a plot summary and works quite well. I was impressed how they introduced the young Q in the film. It doesn't feel weird at all and I actually liked the character. [sp]Damn, that glass cell scene. I wasn't expecting that at all. And to be honest, even though Silva was pure evil, M's actions really had a part in it.[/sp]
[sp]I'm really gonna miss Judi Dench as M. :([/sp]
Question of Sport.
quantum of crap
But it was announced long ago that this is her last Bond movie so
right but i assume that the spoiler meant [sp]that she died?[/sp]
[sp] In Bond's arms [/sp]

Ding-Ding Lynch [editline]29th October 2012[/editline] Oh yeah. Movie's great btw. Gonna see it again.

To be honest, that by itself is not an amazing poster.
To be honest, that by itself is not an amazing poster.
As you say, by itself. It's just one of presumably many base images & poses. It would have been edited in different ways. But it's still odd that M didn't seem to feature in UK promotion outside of trailers. Oh well, there's always the fan art. So I just saw this, and while it was good, why was the CGI and green-screen so obvious?
So I just saw this, and while it was good, why was the CGI and green-screen so obvious?
Gotta actually agree on the greenscreen. At some parts, it was annoyingly obvious.
Really? I only noticed in the scene [sp]when Bond was jumping at the elevator and was hanging from it[/sp]. Apart from that it wasn't that obvious for me.
I've been listening to adele's Skyfall walking to and from work for a couple weeks now.
So I just saw this, and while it was good, why was the CGI and green-screen so obvious?
CGI wasn't that bad. Greenscreen wasn't as bad as Casino though. There I found it glaringly obvious.
I can only think of the roof-bike scene where it would have been difficult to get a proper shot, but those helicopters were such obvious CGI, in this day and age it shouldn't have been visible. Or should have just used real helicopters.
One thought.. [sp]For you Judi Dench fans, at least the original version of her character is still alive in an alternate universe, cutting Brosnan's balls off at every opportunity.... just grasping all the straws with Bond continuity here.[/sp]
Anyone else felt that Skyfall had more witty jokes coming from all of the characters and not just Bond? Seriously, I was like chuckling for one third of the movie.
It is quite a funny one. Which makes it all the more impressive given the circumstances. Though I thought the [sp]"what a waste of good scotch" line had rather inappropriate timing, even for Bond.[/sp]
When Silva [sp]questions Bond bound to that chair, oh god, the gay innuendos flying back and forth were awkward but hilarious[/sp]
When Silva [sp]questions Bond bound to that chair, oh god, the gay innuendos flying back and forth were awkward but hilarious[/sp]
the whole crowd was laughing like hell when I was watching [editline]31st October 2012[/editline] btw is Skyfall the latest movie in the whole Bond timeline? I haven't watched every one of them. If yes, then it's pretty confusing since Casino Royale was the earliest one.

So who's the bond girl this time
M.
Watching this tomorrow, can't wait
Saw this last night. Very good. [sp]The villain guy was great, really disturbing and menacing.[/sp]
I haven't even seen this film, its ruined for me because while I was at school a friend of mine (who I assume has seen it) asked me if I was going to. After telling him I was planning on he shouted [sp]Em Dies![/sp]
