Ubi weren't lying when they said that they're selling mostly open world games and that's the highest percentage of the market at the minute
So this is going to have 4 player coop right? I'm not being an idiot?
The very end of the video made it seem like it'll take place in other continents.
Ubisoft should have just bought the rights to Mercanaries from EA since they're just keeping it there to collect dust, this would have been far more believable as a Mercanaries game and honestly would probably have me even more hyped for it.
Its like they wanted to revive Mercenaries but didn't bother buying the rights so they made it but called it Ghost Recon.
I don't know, I'll probably wait till reviews are out then buy it, looks pretty cool.
Looks pretty cool, I hope they take the gunsmith mode from GRFS and make it even better
And why aren't we playing the Ghost Recon 2/Advanced Warfighter team sans Scott Mitchell?
This doesn't feel like Ghost Recon to me. Felt more like an open world CoD or something.
To me, and hope lots of other people, Ghost Recon is the original game and its expansion packs. After the first game, Ghost Recon stopped being Ghost Recon imo.
For me Ghost Recon Ended on 2...
It did have most of what the original had... minus the many people which you will lose when you die.
Edit: Speaking of Ghost Recon One... It still active today by modding... something that diminished quickly on later games.
The fact I brought this up is, besides the game play, I feel the story line could work as a mod for the first one

Assuming this game takes place after Future Soldier, many of the Ghosts from GR2/AW have left or been killed in action. Joe Ramirez died in the intro to Future Soldier.

It actually takes place before... like near future...
Edit: reading about this it feels more like this game is a tech demo game...
Fans have said every game since GR2 "isn't Ghost Recon", and there's a point where you just have to accept the series will never be what GR1 was.
Personally, I think this looks hype as shit and look forward to slapping dudes with tons of coke.
I want to become the operatiest operator of all operations.
Oh fuck yes, i've been hoping for a good open world military sandbox shooter ever since Mercenaries 2.
That game was buggy and unpolished as fuck but leveling entire towns with an attack chopper and then escaping from the faction you just pissed off was unbelievably fun
Do you have to climb towers?
Ghost Recon fans are like Zelda fans. Every game that comes out is terrible and they preferred the last one. The games so far have been fine, yes they've become more action oriented overtime but the first couple of games were clunky as fuck, they were great but you can't deny there was a lot of stopping and going.
Also you have to remember that action heavy trailers are much easier to do than other trailers. Deus Ex always has action heavy trailers and stealth is the best (in terms of XP) way to play Human Revolution, Metal Gear's trailers are full shots of BB gunning people down with explosions everywhere when in reality you spend most of your time avoiding enemies.
Tom Clancy's Game? Check
Ubisoft Game? Check
Ghost Recon? Check
Excited. VERY, very cautious.
