let me put it this way, if your urine is completely clear, drink less

that's bad, you can give yourself serious bladder issues
you don't want irritated prostate, trust me.
If it is and you are constantly thirsty, chances are you've developed diabetes type 1. If so, it had nothing to do with you drinking excess water, that's just the body's natural response when you have a lot of sugar in your blood and it's unable to produce enough insulin to destroy it.
You'll just piss out any excess water, you'll be fine
No, it's not as simple.
Human cells are not capable of overfilling water unlike plant cells. Too much excessive water will cause massive cells to burst, causing you to die.
I remember that one contest that the women died from drinking too much water.

A 28-year-old suburban Sacramento woman died of apparent “water intoxication” after participating in a contest — “Hold Your Wee for a Wii” — sponsored by local radio station 107.9 KDND. The rules were simple: Participants competed to see how much water they could drink without going to the bathroom. The winner would receive a shiny new Wii video game console, the highly coveted, $250 must-have from Nintendo.
Died for a Nintendo Wii? Come on! I can understand dying for a PS3, even an Xbox 360, but a Wii?
Kids, women, and people living in east Asia countries are crazy about wiis
normal dosis is 1.5 litres ok
As long as you keep eating your salts I think it's fine.
But this science book I had when I was in elementary school says that if your urine is clear that means you're healthy and drinking enough.
D:
It should be nearly clear. Not totally completely clear.
4-6 litres a day is not really much, you probably wake up at 8 am, go to sleep at 11. That's 15 hours, a litre every 3 hours.
Just make sure you piss often.

Technically you're urine is supposed to be "clear", which means you are hydrated.
If your pee is yellow you are dehydrated to a small extent. Now this is perfectly normal mind you, your body works perfectly fine not being 100% perfectly hydrated all the time.
Of course if you are seriously dehydrated you need to drink some water.

there's a pretty thin line between all this shit but the best is to have yellow urine

I remember this story where these parents caught their daughter sneaking for water, so they made her drink the whole gallon in like 10 minutes then she died. They were interviewed about it too.

Source?
Drank*
Argh stop saying "I drunk it lastnight". GOD...
Also according to my mum, who's a nurse and works in a department were they work with the insides of your body and what they do, says about 3-5 pints a day is okay but as long as it's spread out throughout the day - And no.. trying to time it so you drink 1 litre per hour ISN'T going to be good for you.
That just means your kidneys are under constant pressure/process which could lead to exponential problems with your kidneys and bladder.
XD Just drink less, sip your water instead of taking huge gulps every time. You're just filling a "void", for lack of a better term, which is making you think you need more water.
Like if you eat 1 leg of a chicken slowly it will fill you up more then eating 5 chicken legs really quickly would.
Just pace yourself.
It's fine as long as you're not drinking it all at once.

Pfft was like 3 years ago. No way I am going to find it in the news loll. Also was on TV.
Your body knows best. Drink whenever you're thirsty, don't drink when you're not thirsty. If you feel you need to drink well over the average then GO SEE A DOCTOR. Who the hell takes medical advice from FacePunch?
WAIT, if you're always thirsty, to the point were you've drank so much your stomic hurts, you could have diabetes?
Shit.

Not true. There was a radio contest in Cali where everyone had to drink a ton of water, and whoever was able to hold it the longest won. The people running the contest claimed that (as you said) you'd vomit it up before you're in danger of dying, but someone actually died.

You actually don't regurgitate/puke the water back up. You will burp a lot but the water will remain in your system; it's not like food where you would vomit it.
Google turns up this:

Enter in your weight and see how much water you should be drinking in a day. It's all relative to your body weight, usually.
I drink about that much everyday for about 10 years, you just piss and sweat a lot
I don't know how you can do that. There was one time I had to drink 1.5 litres of water before going to the hospital to get some test done but it made me almost throw up near the end.
don't drink too much too quickly
or else you'll drown
actually if you drink too much in one sitting your stomach or something can split and you could die. not even joking. but if you spread it out i'm sure you'll be fine.
Dude seriously go to the doctor, you might have diabetes or something
Yeah, Diabetes insipidis I think. Also: Lots of water can muscle spasms/severe cramp.
Too much water thins out your blood and can cause complications for kidney's and such.
Wait, you can commit suicide by drinking too much water?
Is there a scientific ammount?
Sorry for going off topic but dude that is crazy. o.o

Yeah but you're probably going to shoot yourself before reaching toxic amounts of water, because it's unpleasant as fuck to drink water when you're not thristy.
Also, people saying that you should drink when you're thirsty, that's too late.
