It's probably been posted before but I'm just making sure, have you guys seen this yet?

I found it pretty interesting. Especially the interview in the middle.
Yeah, but I think they've spread themselves too thin. There's a lot of unanswered questions, and just more and more mysteries and being created with every video. I have a nagging suspicion that they won't be able to tie up everything neatly.
Probably, but i'm one who can appreciate effort like that. Atfirst i had no idea the whole story was spreaded on other blogs, sites, and other youtube user accounts. Until i stumbled on the Slenderman article on Tvtropes. Then i went to Alex's youtube account (thats his name right? the younger brother) and he had all sorts of videos connected to the main series. I remember one titled "Does anyone else's dog do this" and his dog was scratching on the door where that thing came out of on the main series.
I Agree that they probably went a little to far with the added monsters. Rake was fine though. But you're right they've created several mysteries that they have to answer for. Like why does Evan go into his little "psycho" episodes. Playing with knives, laughing randomly, and staring at nothing. But yeah i can appreciate the personality they put into it. I actualy like some of the characters more than some recent Hollywood films.

That's a real professional voice going on.
I love 'found-tape' videos and movies like this but they creep the living shit out of me

The added monsters would have been fine if they would have been blended better. In the TJA Projects, they currently have three (known) antagonists, and it works really well because each one gets some screen time, and each one is connected to the other, and they all have their own, pretty well-defined, motives. They're trying to be too Lovecraftian with the monsters in EverymanHYBRID by just making them show up at random times and have no known motives whatsoever. It makes for some really boring antagonists if you know almost nothing about them and they don't seem to have any motives other than just fucking around.
I agree that the characters are very likeable. It's something EMH does pretty well. Although I notice they're kind of making the characters take a back seat as of late for some heavy exposition.
It's neat and all that they have multiple youtube channels and twitters and a Tumblr and such, but right now, none of them are really plot-relevant. Alex's channel never really was, it just had some slight foreshadowing for The Rake being in their house, whereas the non-EMH Twitter accounts never really have anything to say, and Damsel's Tumblr has been hijacked by HABIT for him to just talk about how he likes to murder people in this way and that way. The supplementary material has gone from being essential to being pretty much not worth following whatsoever.
HABIT made me do it durrrrrrrrrrrrrr :downs:
I need to stop being lazy and look up what HABIT is

Nobody knows.

I guess the fact that the accounts have almost nothing to do with the plot is to add some sense of realism to the EverymanHYBRID world.

I'm heading down to morgan to check their records, I wanna make sure this Thomas Nealy thing isn't BS.
Can someone catch me up on EverymanHYBRID and HABIT shit? I can't make any sense of it.
When I saw this thread, simply passing by, I saw "Recent post: Slenderman"

I take it back, wasn't so bad and the interview was interesting
I still think this is funny.

I raise you #4
Vince from EverymanHYBRID confirmed that they did some shit for a new video on Sunday on his Tumblr. When there will actually be a new video remains to be seen.

At about 6:23 Thomas started sounding like the church guy from left 4 dead to me.

Good lord, I hope they hurry up. If I was given the choice to rank a Slenderman series for longest time it takes for them to upload a new one, I'd say EMH is probably #1 on that list.

I think MarbleHornets takes the cake, actually, for the seven month break. If you don't follow any of the out of game stuff, you'd think they just stopped uploading stuff for seven months.
To be honest, this break has really killed my interest in EMH. It's been too long, and so the hype has kind of died out, it seems.

the seven month break was because the season was over, they're in the middle of something and it's taking forever
I went to my youtube account today and this was on the "suggested" list.

They just started it looks like. Seems like they are talking about the Slenderman. I think at one point you can see him, but I'ma have to freeze frame it to tell.

Wow, brand sparklingly new. First video was posted yesterday. They posted a second video just today.

Seems alright at best. I'm staying subscribed to see where they are going with it.
For me with the others i was watching them specificaly to be creeped out. With EMH i cared more about the characters more than the monsters. The creatures were just an added bonus. They didn't even have to put the slender man in some scenes i enjoyed their meaningless conversations. In some ways it reminded me of Quentin Tarantino work meets Lovecraft. Some of the conversations in Tarantino's films don't progress the actual plot at all but damn are they interesting to listen to. The conversations also didn't seem forced like they were in TribeTwelve. I cringed everytimei heard the two characters in TribeTwelve reminisce on the "good ol days" it seemed to fake.

The acting seems pretty subpar.
They're being a bit too obvious with it, I think.
About halfway through Prelude, there's some random static and I think something flashes. Any idea of what it could be?
It's at about 4:33.
