Im so confused, what is this? Is this "Slenderman" thing real or just a joke?
There was a message about 4 posts about you that told you it originated from a photoshop thread on Something Awful.
;31073286']He wears a suit to fit into the crowds. If he was to turn around, he'd look like a bald buisness man. He has no face because his original form did not have one. He only loooks human for camoflauge.
Nope nope nope In the original SomethingAwful thread, when Victor Surge began creating the mythos, he said that everyone saw his face differently, and it only appeared blank in pictures due to glamor failure. Thus, he had no face in pictures. This eventually evolved into him just not having a face period. Nobody knows exactly why he wears the suit or why he has no face. There's no canon explanation. There's a lot of speculation, though.

Like I said, I took any good speculation as canon. [editline]12th July 2011[/editline]
That was me mentally messing with your head! Wait a minute... YOU LIE! Victor Surge is the only canon, and what everyone else does is basically just fan fiction.

I went through the thread, but my brain disregarded Victor entirely after reading so much fan fiction already. I suggest everyone visit Encyclopedia Slenderia. Some dude just collects the Collective Knowledge, but does nothing with it, like I used to sit up at night keeping journals full of theories that I felt made sense. I did this all ever since that thread. Now I feel like I wasted a ton of my life. At least I wasn't completely obsessed with it.
Heh, I bet Slenderman would still be creepier than total Hell if it stayed in creepypasta format with just Marble Hornets as the lone vid series.
Heh, I bet Slenderman would still be creepier than total Hell if it stayed in creepypasta format with just Marble Hornets as the lone vid series.
But it wouldn't be near as interesting without all the fan fiction to put together.
;31078848']But it wouldn't be near as interesting without all the fan fiction to put together.
Well it's not like Slendy has evolved at all since 2009. EMH was doing interesting things that made theories race in my mind that sound plausible, but that's it. :v: Besides that Corenthal stuff and the whole Masky/lovecraftian insanity thing it's all been the same. Not that people should make Slendy into something totally different, I'm just saying that the series throughout the web have desensitized rather than added. tldr I agree with you, but its come at the prize of Slendy losing his never sleep again factor a little

There are dozens of those.
Most blogs are shitty because writers don't want their protagonists to die, but can't find a way for Slendy to lose, so it's like MarbleHornets with half the plot.

Dreams in Darkness was by far my favorite. The writing was amazing, it kept you coming back, and [sp]EVERYONE GETS PICKED OFF ONE BY ONE UNTIL DAMIEN KILLS HIMSELF.[/sp]

I was reading Seeking truth, but then my HDD fried the weekend I started reading it so I lost place :/
Since EverymanHYBRID seems to love adding monsters to it, why dont they add... Another slenderman!
It was fine when it just ended, but now it's having this big crossover with this blog called The Mystic and it's just dumb.
I thought Detective Straham's writing was great, but I hate the crossover. The crossover in a nutshell: "I'm going to find Damien's house which I magically knew without research." "When I mention Damien's name everyone within 20 feet of me has a stroke." "I'm going to Damien's house" "Musta been a sick party, everything's trashed" "Wow shadows outside gotta go" "I flew back with a fake I.D. and my billions of dollars disregarding I'm on the FBI's most wanted." "Everyone love me" The only other thing I don't like about the blog, is that somehow he remembers every word, hand motion, and restroom break of a conversation, even those that happened days before the posts. Not even a normal person could do that. He also plays the 'Yeah, life's hard, but don't feel sorry for me, cause I'm a hardened criminal with no feelings lookin' for vengeance' card. I get the feeling Zeke is an 80's cop flick star who traveled to the future and can't go back.
I just watched some videos and read more about Slenderman and then my parents ask me to take the dog out (it's 10pm here, and nearly pitch black). God damn it. Turned on every light on my way to the basement to put him out in the backyard and there are trees out there. After I let him out, I hauled ass out of the basement and turned on all the lights upstairs. I shouldn't read/watch creepy stuff when it's dark.

AH! It's behind you! AAAH! Man, that video is gold. "It was Alex. We found he on the tree with his eyes gouged out." "What, did somebody else die?" ahauihsfjjgfgfjkdhks (User was permabanned for this post ("Alt of permabanned user" - Craptasket))

When he suddenly became Jack Bauer, I kind of had to take it with a grain of salt. Now that he's completely evading the FBI even though he's being so open with his actions (POSTING THEM ON A BLOG), it's like the writer (Tom Horan) is trying to make him into a Marty Stu or something.

Everymanhybrid's videos have always confused me. It's like a collaboration of horror elements and Slenderman thrown together with no real coherency, and to be honest, I've never enjoyed them.
Hey guys. Sorry it's been ages since I've visited. Just felt like linking a new video to Cryptos. Is anyone actually watching these?

Alex being crazy was kind of bearable with pretending that his parents were alive. It was believable, at least, but it was kind of shoehorned in as a way to make Alex seem interesting. Then when he did the boombox shit, it was borderline comical, just because of how over-the-top it was. Now Alex has a sock puppet and is pretending it's his dog, and we're supposed to take this shit seriously? They're feeding us some serious bullshit, here. They perfected The Rake costume, and actually make it look like a monster, and then they give us a bad view of it and show it off for all of thirty seconds or however long it was. It kind of feels like a slap in the face to have an actual appearance by The Rake hyped up, and then hardly show him at all, and then brush past him completely. I mean, they've kind of staked a claim to him in the Slender Man Mythos, and yet refuse to do anything with him besides make super short appearances and kill dogs. The inclusion of Vince's Out Of Game girlfriend into the story feels kind of rough and forced, and I'm pretty sure it's just because he wants her to be a part of it, like Jessa or Jessie. I have to say, the part where they're all hanging out on the Fourth of July was actually pretty well done. It implies that they're losing it more than they're letting on. All in all, I wouldn't say it was worth the wait at all, and it seems like they're falling into a trend of an update ever 1-2 months and having a compilation video, which I dearly hope is untrue. Sadly, I doubt this video has drummed up too much interest in the series. It's just more of the same. Just my two cents.
