I couldn't think of another symbol. I've thought of many.
Slender Man V6 - Desu Desu Desu Edition
Okay well the pictures are nice and everything, but we should probably quit it with the picture spam. Or at least less cutsie fan art of Slendy.

When I start drawing, it's hard for me to stop. :v:
Also, I'm using this as a test for my brand new video camera.

If you draw something really cool, go ahead and post it, but don't post every single thing you draw.

I wanted to draw something really nice, but I just suck at drawing.
;31339674']Except they all use the same basic formula because they all try to make the same mistake of having an open and obvious slender man when they can't afford to make him scary and have rely on new plot devices. They did new elements perfectly fine int he written mythos, with different takes and perspectives, and introducing new lore to it. All the series do is take the same slenderman and add new plot devices to keep it going.
Here's a very basic description of 5 slenderman series. Guess which is which. Then tell me what you see in common.
Slenderman appears occasionally to stalk the charaters and drive them insane while masked men assault them.
Slenderman appears occasionally to stalk the characters and drive them insane while masked men assault them.
Slenderman appears to occasionally stalk the characters and successively drive them insane.
Slenderman appears to occasionally stalk the characters while deadly creatures and time travel assault them.
Slenderman appears to stalk the character who tries to unravel the mystery behind Slenderman.
Ohh, right. Yeah, I see what you mean. If I didn't know any better, I'd say they all think they'd have to follow the tradition of Marble Hornets or something. Asking personally, what else do you think could work?

It's true. The very first blog, Just Another Fool, launched shortly after MarbleHornets and stuck much closer to the original Victor Surge Mythos, but the creator stopped the series once Troy and Joseph rejected his offer of a joint-series, on the grounds that they were already insisting that they weren't doing Slender Man. Thus, MarbleHornets outlasted them and became the first successful Slender Man video series. Thus, people thought that since that was succeeding, they'd copy that, and eventually more and more was copied from MarbleHornets, which wasn't even supposed to take place in the same mythos, and an entirely new mythos was created which kind of ass-raped Victor Surge's original mythos.
All this talk of the Victor Surge Mythos makes me think a few of us could start a blog following the original mythos a lot more closely. Would be a fun thing to do.
Listening to Surge interview. Slender Man sounds so much better.
Yeah. Victor Surge set up a really interesting mythos, and it got seriously run into the ground by everyone with a half-baked idea for a blog or a video series. That's not to say that none of them are good, but if I were Victor Surge, I would be seriously sad that people basically took my idea and mutilated it and wrecked it so hard that you're a little ashamed to even be associated with it anymore.
And all of this is why we need to design a new thing that can have vlogs made of it with low budgets!
I can think of it now! We have this really short guy, right? And he takes these people, and puts paper bags over their heads. And he has them stand around and watch in the woods or the windows of a house while he rummages through DVDs and scratches them up so they don't play right.

hey look something we could execute properly
Sweet posts guys I feel enriched from reading them.

You should! The point of the internet is enrichment, especially through hanging around in threads at three in the morning.

I have learned this from experience.
Now let's get some content in here before my brain rots from Fast Threads.
Not much content to be had until something new comes out. It's not like we can just magically conjure content.

I know. I mean, there's more to Slendy than videos n' such.
It was also a failed attempt at a joke.

I heard of someone who was trying to revive the whole 'Post a picture with Slendy in it and come up with a backstory' on SomethingAwful, but it probably didn't catch on. Unfortunately, unless we're gonna start discussing Blogs, videos is all we got.

Well, no one seems to want to discuss Blogs, so I guess we're just outta luck.

I'd be fine to discuss blogs, it's just that most of them fucking suck, and on-average they're a lot worse than the vlogs. At least people who do the video series have the effort in them to actually get shit together and film some things. In my opinion blogs are the lazier, stupider cousins of vlogs.
When I got my wisdom teeth removed a few months back, I was on extreme painkillers which of course make you a vegetable and disoriented, and when I looked around my room I saw Slender Man in my closet and my vision was red and grainy. Good times. If I hallucinated the Rake though I'd probably be dead right now from a heart attack.

I used to hallucinate about Slendy.
And that was because I was already hallucinating about creatures that I've thought about giving a back story or something. I would if they didn't frighten me. When you're 6 and you see these things, it's not easy on you.

I've got quite a few real ghost stories from when I was young. Some fucked up shit actually. Not something that happened when I was alone too it's shit that we all saw. They go against what I believe in though so my mind fucks itself thinking about them. May eventually right some of them down in the weird experience thread or w/e it's called. :v:

I wish I could write about them. It took me over a year to get to where I could just think about them without crying.
That was two years ago. I was 16 then. Scarred me for life.
I still see them some times when I'm driving own the road.
I remember an experience from my childhood...
We had this old wardrobe, and I was always so afraid of it because (I shit you not) I would always hear someone pounding on the doors from the inside. Well, my parents always taught me it was best to face my fears, and so I opened up the wardrobe and there was nothing inside, but I did notice it was abnormally deep. I went inside, and I discovered that it was like the wardrobe to Narnia, but instead it went to Hell! And I was in Hell! And there were also demons in Hell!
And then the wardrobe got a gun and started shooting everybody.
And now he's coming to shoot you.
Scary stuff, right guys?

That was better than any Slender Man story ever created. Bravo.
What is this
Ohh, right. Yeah, I see what you mean. If I didn't know any better, I'd say they all think they'd have to follow the tradition of Marble Hornets or something. Asking personally, what else do you think could work?
I say
;31339449']So I call for a return to original slendy. A series that's not just a loitering suited circus freak. It's possible, easily. You don't even actually have to see him, it could easily be done, because the thing about Slendy isn't seeing him, it's what you NEVER saw. Look at the original mythos- it was all missing children and hikers, the aftermath and the before, never the during. You saw the pictures where he stalked the victims, and the reports wherethey go missing, or their corpse is found. Never what he does. Never him in person.
So yea. Someone do that. Let's watch that. Instead of the cheap mass-produced knock off of a knock off of a badly done vlog. Let's start anew, no? Let's start a series based on Surgism, based on the values of the original mythos, on the commonly agreed ground. Let's start anew, hm?
So when's Slendy going to kill somebody in the video series' then?
