But didn't Hoody return Jay's camera while he and Alex were at Rosswood together?
The chronology on that event is a little hazy. Jay flees into the woods, and then Hoodie shows up and grabs it and puts it back in Alex's car. Then Alex shows up and finds Jay, and they go back to his car. That's how I thought it happened, at least. There's nothing to really suggest that Alex finding Jay happened at the same time as when Hoodie first showed up.
[editline]23rd August 2011[/editline]
There's also the subject of that person who walked up to Jay's car when he was sleeping. It wasn't Slendy, it didn't look like Hoodie, and I don't think it was Masky either.
Ha, this guy thinks there are people that actually believe that the footage in the various ARGs is unedited, nobody is that dumb, thanks for telling us stuff we already know.
Must I link the ED page? ;)

Good theories, Grim Joker. The whole thing about Jay and Balaclava ("Hoodie" but I named him after the balaclava-like mask he seems to wear.) is taking some hard thinking.
The fact that Alex said that they weren't attacking him until Jay showed up, is fishy to me. Tim was already assaulting them (or Jay at least) and his statement was pretty broad. He seems to be talking about the masked men in general, and it could be just a retaliation for the argument.
As for the figure peeking into Jay's car, whoever did it was filming it, as the footage was uploaded to ToTheArk's channel. Who's to say that ToTheArk is more than one person and that there are other masked men we haven't seen directly? Of course, that's the easiest thing to say, but I don't really see any other way it could be.
I'm still pondering on the Inquiry video on TTA. I haven't really thought on what ToTheArk was talking about. I have no idea. Any thoughts on that?
Well there's the skull guy (or girl with short hair) who we saw, so there are at least three masked men, or at least three different masks. We've only seen two of them at the same time. Tim was assaulting Jay, and that happened long after Alex was gone, so the Masked Men may be linked to Jay exclusively. They obviously have attacked Alex since then, but Alex mentions that they didn't show up until Jay did. The fact that Jay keeps having encounters with Slender Man but is allowed to live further implies that there's something going on there, like how Alex does the same thing and actually has a little bit of distortion whenever he gets really mad.
When Alex was saying how he was alone, Jay was one of the people he listed as being 'gone', along with Tim and the rest. That kind of implies that they weren't physically gone, but perhaps mentally. I mean, Tim showed he could keep it together during his interaction with Jay, but maybe Tim isn't even aware of his Masky persona. That way Jay could also be a masky or whatever.
Also, interesting to note, that with Masky and Skully the hair was pretty much in plain view (Although with Skully it was distorted due to the fish-eye view) but with Hoodie his hair is hidden. People could identify Masky as Tim from seeing his hair and sideburns and such, so I think they actually intend for Hoodies identity to be a secret/twist when/if it is revealed.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

In one of the entries, Alex is infront of a mirror, and then a mask guy shows up, And then alex runs, Could that be another masked man, Or masky? hoodie?

Well, the Operator is definitely controlling the masked men, as shown with how Tim was utterly mindless when he donned the mask.
I wonder about the 'Jay being gone' thing. It seems that if Jay was 'gone' at one point, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense that Alex gave him the tapes in the first place. Why would Jay be trusted then?
And if Jay was controlled some time in the past, then why would Alex ask Jay for help?

Maybe not exactly trusted? Maybe he just wants help to get to the truth, or he already knows the truth and Jay doesn't know, and Alex is trying to lead him to it?

I'm at a loss for it. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the mess that is Alex and Jay's relationship.
Also here's a recap for some interesting notes. I know some of this has been posted before, but it's just recapping it for reference.
In Entry #46 (as stated by Numerical) there is a dusty, old, thick book on Alex's desk. Images aren't working for me either, so sorry if you have to rewatch it. It doesn't have an text on the cover or visible title. I think it's turned over, but it does look kind of important. Should be checked out.
In Forecast, the numbers translate to: "AM I A PROPHET." Any thoughts on that?
Incase you forgot or didn't notice, there is a shadow of an arm reaching out as Alex states that his friends are 'gone.' He has no reaction.
In Program and Advocate, there is some binary that I've forgotten. If anyone could dig that up it would be appreciated.
In Memories; "YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING." This is maybe referring to Jay and how he has gotten nowhere closer?
In Indicator, an interesting theory is that the doll represents Jay. It says that "YOU WILL NEVER BE FREE." The description says 'blind' and the video mentions "SIGNS EVERYWHERE" and "MESSAGES EVERYWHERE." Signs of what?
Classified says "I KNOW YOU'RE THERE." Call me an idiot, but I have no idea what TTA is talking about. Who is he referring to and where is he? The numbers also translate to:
the twins
do you know
what he did?
Just some interesting notices for people wanting to string the story together and it may help put together better theories for those who have forgotten this stuff.

Oh lawd, Slendernation calls Hoodie "Sinclair." I wonder why? [sp]Also it's creepy for me because my name is Sinclair. :v:[/sp]
I'm gonna try to detail each of what I think just for the sake of it. Don't get anything else better to do right now.

It doesn't have an text on the cover or visible title. I think it's turned over, but it does look kind of important. Should be checked out. Maybe. Or maybe the scripts for all the videos? :V
In Forecast, the numbers translate to: "AM I A PROPHET." Any thoughts on that? I'm guessing this refers to people predicting who he is, and what he does, hence the title "Forecast". Predicting the "weather" like he's some kind of anchorman that knows the future of the weather.
Incase you forgot or didn't notice, there is a shadow of an arm reaching out as Alex states that his friends are 'gone.' He has no reaction. Depressed? Probably a cause from The Operator. If Operator is in fact an ally of some sort, maybe he's reaching out to Alex? In a friendly matter, I suppose.
In Advocate, Brian's face is shown and binary appears. I forgot what it said, so if anyone can dig it up that would be appreciated.
In Program there is more binary.
In Memories; "YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING." This is maybe referring to Jay and how he has gotten nowhere closer?
In Indicator, an interesting theory is that the doll represents Jay. It says that "YOU WILL NEVER BE FREE" and in it's eye it has the word "Oper" in it. Oper is close to the German word for 'victim.' The description say 'blind' and the video mentions "SIGNS EVERYWHERE" and "MESSAGES EVERYWHERE." Signs of what? Signs and messages that they're getting closer to the truth, and maybe they're too stuck to see them?
Classified says "I KNOW YOU'RE THERE." Call me an idiot, but I have no idea what TTA is talking about. Who is he referring to and where is he? "I KNOW YOU'RE THERE" might mean he knows where Jay/Alex is hiding? The numbers also translate to:
the twins
do you know
what he did?
Could "the twins" be the two Maskies with Alex in one of the recent entries?

Someone should look into the binaries. I would but I honestly don't feel like it.
There's TTA's video titles to think about if you wanna go further. I would go on about the rest of [SM]'s but I'm just too far out right now.

Wait, what? When did this happen?
Wait, what? When did this happen?
I think it was Jay in Brian's house whenever he blacked out in front of a mirror or something.

Alex only gave Jay the tapes because Jay kept asking for them. Alex was planning on burning them, and I believe he told Jay to do it as well.

I think it's this one. Too lazy to check.
Also why would Alex trust Jay for help? Is it because Jay may have been the sanest and since he had the tapes, Alex thought that Jay had seen the Operator in them? (Jay would know what is happening, sort of.)

That is Jay, not Alex. You are mistaken, Purple Robot. The only time Alex has directly confronted any of the masked men was when they jumped him in the woods I believe.

I think he doesn't fully trust Jay, but he needs all the help he can get and so he's using Jay for whatever he can. He still keeps him almost completely in the dark though.

I love Marble Hornets so damn much.
It always keeps me guessing.
Definitely the best of the Slenderseries.
And I wish Tim got more screen time. Tim is my favorite character even if he's a major antagonist now.
[sp]I also envy those sideburns. They are amazing. [/sp]

Anyone know where to buy a cheap gasmask?
Also I think we need a steam group and everyone should constantly be in chat :3
Also what's this about Jay being Balaclava?

Read Grim Joker's above posts.
He made quite the good point.
So I decided to finally watch ToTheArk. Someone wanted a binary translator for that one video whose name I can't remember all of the sudden? I know binary without using a translator. And of course this is implying that that one video counted to 16 as the template to translate.

You've been watching MarbleHornets without taking a look at the ToTheArk videos? What is wrong with you?
Alex's angry face scares me.

Sweet snipe.
Hey guys, new idea for a thread rule. How about everybody is nice to each other and we don't make passive aggressive comments?
Oh hey, speaking of passive aggressive, Phenom took down everything relating to my series from the Slender Man Mythos TVTropes page.
Way to go, man.

What was your series?
What was your series?
Nothing you've ever heard of. Especially so, now that it's not even mentioned on TVTropes anymore.
Nothing you've ever heard of. Especially so, now that it's not even mentioned on TVTropes anymore.
Is it still up or did you delete it? I'm interested in the smaller series a little more than the bigger ones. The smaller ones usually have more original ideas/not corrupted by fanbase, etc.
Call me weird but I found it funny when Alex was making fun of Jay when he had a "hunch" in Entry #47.
"I had a hunch."
"A HUNCH!"
"Yeah. . ."
"OOOOH, A HUNCH!"
Nothing you've ever heard of. Especially so, now that it's not even mentioned on TVTropes anymore.
I'm interested. I intend to write about all the slenderseries or related series I can find on my wiki, so I want to know.
