Has anyone seen JonClubs113? I just discovered it for myself and judging by how many views each video has i doesn't look that popular.

It's dead as disco. It was popular for awhile but because people kept pointing out flaws the creator ragequit. He then went on to accuse EverymanHYBRID of being homophobic and intolerant because they said 'queer' in one of their videos.
It's kind of like the precursor to TribeTwelve. It has good effects but the acting isn't very good.

Ah, I read about that a few pages back. It's kind of a shame he ragequit. Seeing how he could have fixed those flaws, and how it seemed as if he interacted with the community.

Yeah, it could have been a good series, it is just that the actors are horrid. The effects were good but were rarely there.
Yes, I'm Drama/Theater so bad-acting makes me cringe to fuck and back
This.
This.
Today, it shall be writ upon the tomes of history that this is the day of This or Thus or Variations of Those Between and Therein Involved in This.

SlenderMom, of course.
Yes, I'll go to the store, mother. Yes, I'll get your pills, mother.
Nag nag nag.
Is it possible that your mom is Blair witch? Ive just noticed a strong resemblance. You both like woods. You both like sending people "Gifts". You both like leaving creepy shit behind for people to find. You both have freaky mental links with victims. You both like small children. Suddenly it all makes sense o_o
Inb4 Blair witch FP account lol.

No.
;31989378']No.
The biggest difference is that I'm not in a terrible film that is a disgrace to the horror genre.
[sp]Yet.[/sp]
What was wrong with it? It was intelligently done and had a great marketing campaign on a very small budget. It influenced many successful clones. REC being one of them. Even these Slenderman Vlogs bare resemblance to what they did back in 1999. People call it terrible but it most likely had a larger impact on the genre than a lot of horror films in the 2000's era. Your movie is coming! don't you worry, but it'll probably be some horrible tv film by Syfy channel lol.
blair witch was horrible? huh?
i mean i haven't seen it but i heard it was really scary
[editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
and good
Blair Witch was great.
^ Its always been like that. A lot of critics praised it. Audiences tend to be half & half. Some hate it, others love it. Blair Witch is one of those films, you have to see in the time period it came out otherwise its only half as effective. What contributed mostly to its scare factor is similar to what EverymanHybrid does. With the viral marketing shit. They had people believing it was so real to the point some people were afraid to go throughout any forest area after it released. I think it was also a brilliant move not showing the antagonist.
That Syfy channel sequel "Book of shadows" on the other hand, is pure shit and should have never been made lol.
Why did I post that.
I could see it coming miles away.
Look, I didn't like it in my opinion.
Now let's get back to discussing Slender Man.
Sure...no problem.. Content?
If there are no videos, seeing as you're Slender Man and all. You could do some tricks for us until content!

There is never enough content to keep this thread railed.
Cannot feed the void.
i'm pretty sure I would like it. Cloverfield is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all-time

Finally someone else that liked the movie. People just don't get it. I guess the same can be related to Marble Hornets.
I liked both Cloverfield and Blair Witch.
I agree with those who say so above.
I disagree with those who say the opposite.
We all have opinions.
Let's talk about Slendy.
Also, new TT, but too lazy to go click the icon on youtube.
Out of curiosity: What is it that you guys find appealing about Slender Man? Horror, specifically low-budget 'everyday' horror have been done before, but no mythos has really taken off the way Slender Man has. Understanding what factors contribute to this would allow for stories with similar appeal that aren't just re-hashes of concepts done before.

Uh, I think it's mostly how subtle and simple it is. It's just a guy with no face in a suit, so it's easy to do. There's the mystery of what exactly Slender Man is, or why he shows up, or what he wants as well.
I can't speak for everybody, but I like Slender Man because he's subtle and unique, although my interest is fading because he's really over-saturated now.

Same here. I feel that Slenderman was his scariest and strongest when Marble Hornets and Just Another Fool were the only Slenderman creations around (disregard photoshops). He was mysterious and actually scared the shit out of me.
After EMH and Marble Hornets are done (along with some others), people should stop making Slenderman stuff (photoshops are fine) for a while because mostly everyone is taking from those two series and no one has had any real good original ideas for a long time.
I miss being scared of Slender Man, like when I first watched MH :c

I concur. MarbleHornets, EverymanHYBRID, TJA Projects, and a few others are ending in the very near future, and so I'm kind of hoping the mythos will die down a lot.
Is it just me, or are the blog writers the most egotistical out of all of the creators? I lurk on Slender Nation and Unfiction, and the blog writers are always doing this huge posts and posting 'the opinion of the creators', like they speak for the whole community or something.

I have only seen the guys behind Just Another Fool and the one about the guy finding out how to kill Slenderman but he ended up killing himself talk about stuff. They were pretty cool, but I guess it was before people started making tons of blogs/series, so they might talk shit.

MarbleHornets announced their 3rd season, and season 2 isn't even over yet. They may not end for a while.

Second season is ending really soon, according to Troy. He also said the break wouldn't be that long, and the third season will just be end game stuff, so I don't expect it to take that long.
'Soon' doesn't mean in like a month or something, but I'd consider it relatively soon compared to how long it's been going. I mean it obviously won't go for like a third year or anything like that. I predict it ending by the beginning of next summer or so.
I hope they clear up all that confusing stuff in that amount of time.
I'm pretty sure of it, though.
So, HABIT just gave out the Seventh Trial. The time limit is indefinite, and the objective is to be the last contestant alive. Not sure what this means, but my girlfriend is in the trials. I don't really buy all the "Bluh Bluh HABIT is scaaaaaary!" stuff, but it still makes me a little nervous. Worries aside, I wonder what it means in actuality. I mean, that can't be all there is to it. If it is, we won't see a winner for the trials until a good 40-50 years down the line, accidents aside.
Is HABIT the ToTheArk of EMH? I forgot like everything about EMH.
