what? how the fuck was he doing that?
[editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
he was simply stating his point clearly

Look, when you say stuff like that, it makes it obvious that it was entirely your intention to re-start the flame war.
Let's all just drop it and keep collectively waiting for Jay, eh?
I loved the plane scene. Absolutely terrific. Terrifying, too, if you put yourself in that situation. And around all those people, who were like "What the fuck" and then bam- no one remembers anything.
Heh. But then you gotta think, what if there were other people who had their cameras on when that happened, and when they get home and watch their videos, and see that happening.

That's what I thought, I would love to see somebody's reaction to this if they were on that same plane.
Even though I think the creator is something of a cock, and a shitty actor, I really do like TribeTwelve alot, It has an interesting enough story and REALLY good effects
omg dat TT vid
but how did Slender Man get past TSA?

Just got goosebumps.

Oh god, you're right. Their trip would be so tainted... and then that poor little girl.....she's probably marked. D:
We need to see someone get killed. This endless going to parks is getting lame.
Yeah. Pretty sure Alex is going to die.
I'm really curious as to where the endgame is going to go. Troy has assured us that all of the questions will be answered and the series will be wrapped up neatly, but man, that seems impossible to do with a Slender Series.
I guess since they're not technically a Slender Series, they have a lot more freedom to do what they want though.
bullshit. it's a slender series whether they like it or not
bullshit. it's a slender series whether they like it or not
Not really. Every Slender Series after them copied them. MarbleHornets actually didn't follow the mythos at all, really. Almost every part of it is original, it was just later series that copied it and formed the new mythos off of it.

Yeah, there's techinically no Slender Man Mythos except the small amount of stuff from Victor Surge.
It's technically Operator Mythos. Now we have three similar beings. Slender Man, the Operator, and the Tall Gentleman.
And I wonder what's going to happen with DH00. I was hoping that at least some mystery would be solved. Especially with KVDR. All KVDR activity suddenly stopped after the First Dusk came.
Here are both videos played next to each other.

The video tears sync up exactly with both videos at the train station, awesome and well played. Sorry about the slight echo.

Tall Gentleman is a completely different thing, bro.
I mean, besides being a stretched-out humanoid thing, it's not Slendy-ish.
But yea. It's kinda crud that they use the Operator as an excuse to do what they want with Slendy. I remember the posts they made in the SA thread, back when it was still Slenderman, at the beginning. It really is the Operator mythos, because everything is based off the Operator, not Slendy.
But we all know my opinion on this whole matter.
One thing I will always remember about the original mythos (atleast I think it was in the original mythos) is that Slenderman DOES have a face, but he only appears faceless in photos and videos and shit
[editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
of course I might be wrong about that, I'm not sure

I believe you're right.
Too bad that Mythos is almost nonexistent to everyone now.

Yeah it is :(
I'd like to see in a Slender vlog, the character having an encounter with Slendy describing what he looks like (or how the character saw him) then watching the video (since theres always videos of him :v:) and being shocked that he has no face in the video or something

Yeah, glamor failure made it so his face didn't show up. MarbleHornets was the first one to actually say that he has no face all the time. Actually, they don't really even say that. They don't touch on him much at all. It was probably one of the blogs or popular vlogs that said he has no face all the time. In Just Another Fool they never really made a point about his facelessness, and so yeah, it was probably one of the later stories that started doing that. Video/picture distortion was never used in the original mythos, and he only had a link to fire and children. The latest mythos gives him a connection to water/ark/religious imagery and says he also goes after adults.
It's a whole different thing from what it used to be, pretty much.
I had really thought we would get an entry today for some reason. It was the first thing I was thinking about when I woke up.
[editline]25th September 2011[/editline]
Also, in that new TT the part in the airplane scared the shit outta me for some reason.

While I'm not big on the face thing, since really, only 2 pictures in the original mythos, iirc, had him with a face or mentioned him having a face (to be fair, none of them mentioned a lack of face either), and one of those was Surge's. I don't think the face thing ever really came up. Infact, I'm pretty sure Surge described it as a "faceless terror" at one point.
But let's compare:
Slenderman:
-Present in many cultures' folklore
-Primarily forest-dweller
-Followed, not usually stalked, victims
-Killed victims
-Burned evidence
-Brutally dismembered victims
-Preferred kids as victims
-Tentacles. Tentacles everywhere.
-Tentacles used as legs
-Telepathic/psychic powers
-Face.
Operator:
-No mention or dominant theme of folklore.
-No preferred habitat, that we know. (disputed)
-Stalks victims
-Mainly passive-aggressive, not directly violent, usually.
-Noah's house burned down. That's really it for fire.
-Water connection.
-No dismemberment.
-Adults only.
-Few to no use of tentacles.
-No use of tentacles.
-Blogs based on the assumption of the nature of proxies often make use of the telepathic/psychic powers, but it's never been outright stated, and really no longer even supported, that this is the case by MH or any vlog creator.
-No face.
Honestly, it seem to me that TT is the closest to the original mythos. I wouldn't be surprised if (since, y'know, they're in the same universe now), EMH was taking on the Operator and TT was Slenderman, and they're two completely different things. They really don't even act the same, and of course TT's Operator has tentacles.
I think it would be a grand idea to end the series off in an awesome CGI fight between the two when they try to stalk their respective prey at the same time and encounter each other.

I'm suspecting we'll have one tomorrow or the following day. Mondays - Tuesdays seem to be MH's update days.

I suppose TribeTwelve, out of all of the most popular vlogs, may be the one closest to the mythos. The organs-in-bags thing from EverymanHYBRID is also very accurate to the mythos though. I'd say it's kind of moot to say which blog is most faithful to the Surge mythos, seeing as how they're all on a pretty consistent level of not being faithful to it at all. I don't think TribeTwelve and EverymanHYBRID are fighting two different slender men, that would be kind of silly and would only muck up an already convoluted story. It would be kind of cool I guess, but yeah, kind of skeptical on that one. Also the CGI would come off as goofy looking. Adam is quite a wizard with the editing software, but I don't think he'd be able to do a realistic looking fight between two Slender Men, that would just be kind of crazy hard.
;32482410']Operator:
-No mention or dominant theme of folklore.
What about the story Alex briefly mentions about the criminals being tied to trees in the woods, elongated until they died or something like that? After hearing that story I always assumed that the operator was one of those men or based his appearance off of them (Elongated limbs, suit, possibly decomposed/missing face)
;32482410']-Noah's house burned down. That's really it for fire.
What about Jay's apartment? That burnt down.
Slenderman really didn't have a face from what I can recall.
He just had two "eyes" which resembled glowing orbs.

And crazy stupid.

In the original mythos his face would appear differently to every person who saw him. In photographs and videos he would be faceless, due to glamor failure.

Somewhat related
How? All I saw was a Slenderman model I'm not even sure was related to the video at all.
I still refer The Operator as Slenderman, regardless of what he's in really.

Jay's apartment is true.
However, the criminal thing is not folklore in the same way. In the original mythos is was pretty consistent that it was boogeyman-type creature in the folklore. Paintings of it, monster stories that described it, creature that acted like it. The MH story isn't on those lines.
It seems to me that while the original Slenderman mythos is what started it all, Marble Hornets set the standard for vlogs and that's why the vlogs differ so much from the original mythos.
Also I'm thinking of making a tribute video to the vlogs, using a PF song. I can't decide thought which song to you.
I'm stuck between On the Run, Shine On Your Crazy Diamond Parts IV-V(8:45 to end), or Echoes from 15 Minutes in and on.

I can't really decide.
(Warning Echoes might cause epilepsy of awesome.)
