Heather McComber That is a really silly name
Could have been Molly McComber. and Chris could've drove the Mystery Machine but I'm just shooting off ideas here
Why she would put out a family heirloom at her garage sale if its not for sale is beyond me...
So, in other news, I'm starting MLAndersen.
i still need to finish watching Darkharvest :v:
new KindVonDerRitter description
This past month I've been busy with work and my social life, but I did manage to squeeze some time in to research some things for Chris and Alex. The first thing I found information on was Rainwood Day Camp & Learning Center, located right across the street from their late friend Greg's home. Founded in the late 1950s by a Mr. Lawrence Rainwood, the Day Camp was a complex where children would stay during the summer months. It had large dining halls, a full kitchen, craft rooms as well as a large swimming pool. The camp was in operation from the mid 50s until the summer of 1958, when something called the "Rainwood Incident" occurred. According to police reports dating back to June of 1958 all the way to May of 1960, every single child staying at the Day Camp disappeared on the evening of June 19th, 1958. This coincided with the first double-homicide committed by a serial killer, who was dubbed by the police as "The Tall Man". The murders occurred just two miles from the camp. Many speculated that the disappearances were the work of the Tall Man, though there was no evidence to back this claim. All adults who worked at the camp were institutionalized shortly after the incident, labeled clinically insane by physicians after claiming that a monster came and took the children away. The largest missing persons case in the history of the State of New Jersey during the 50s, the Rainwood Case became a nation-wide story. For nearly three years, the police searched for the 72 missing children to no avail. Shortly after the case surfaced in the media, however, it was forgotten. Newspapers no longer talked about it --merely days after the story arose-- and it did not become a media firestorm like so many expected it would become. Despite this, even after the three-year search for the children ended, family members of the missing children continued their search. The children to this day have not been found. Strangely, just weeks after the Rainwood Incident first occurred there was a fire at the Day Camp. The building suffered a lot of structural damage and all documents in the building, including personal information about the children, were lost. The building was scheduled to be torn down the next year, but instead was bought by an anonymous landlord who refurbished it. It was then in use again from 1965 to 1998, when it was closed again for unknown reasons. The building has been abandoned ever since. The history of the Day Camp prior to the Rainwood Incident is very foggy due to the severe lack of documentation, all lost in the fire. All but one photo, that is. This mysterious photo resurfaced a few years later, supposedly by a family member of one of the missing children who found it in the debris of the fire. No one knows who took the photo, or why. Another thing to note about the photo, both striking and startling, is the figure. No one knows who the figure is, or why the photographer did not notice the figure while taking the picture. Some speculate it is a forgery, made by a family member of a missing child to perpetuate the legend of the Tall Man and to pin the disappearances on him in order to re-invigorate the search for the Rainwood children. The person who resurfaced the photo was given this response by the police: "The sad truth of the matter is that, after three years, the Rainwood children will most likely never be found. We give our sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the lost children. As far as the [serial] killer, the Tall Man... that issue is being handled by the federal government. We have our best boys working on that case. He will one day be brought to justice." - Chief of Police, Ronald White - Daniel
So his name is Daniel?
Almost to the last tape. Been moving around so much lately. 31 minutes ago
http://twitter.com/#!/marblehornets Release in the next few hours?
new KindVonDerRitter description So his name is Daniel?
He copied the description from the Project Egypt blog, I'm pretty sure. The Day Camp was also where they found the Collective Knowledge (the black book.wmv) and where they found the Altar to Slender Man. This altar is also where the sacrifice(?) takes place in my_final_betrayal. In that same video, (The Day Camp, Revisited) they opened a door, and an ungodly wail could be heard from it. As if someone was either being tortured or the Rake was hiding in there, which I seriously doubt. My best guess is that KVDR traveled back in time to get that audio. It appears that Slender Man's voice can truly be picked up, but it comes out garbled and distorted. It sounds a lot like the the voice of the Recorders from EMH. If any of you took the time to read the Collective Knowledge, according to KVDR, whom I assume wrote this generation of Collective Knowledge, knows that Slender Man is actually a god from another dimension known as the Fourth World. We apparently reside in the Third World. It also contains instructions on how to open a Rift between the worlds, and this is something I'm sure that Dark Harvest will be centering around sometime in the future, if not already. Also it contains the history of the Order itself, whichi in all is actually quite interesting to read. Very thought out for "lore" in this mythos. Dark Harvest is definitely up here as one of my favorites, and one of the best.
http://twitter.com/#!/marblehornets Release in the next few hours?
Hours? No. God no. Days? Maybe, if we're lucky.
New EverymanHYBRID video. Pretty interesting stuff.
Hey so if I want to start following, say, the three "main" slenderseries (MH, TribeTwelve, Everyman HYBRID), in which order should I watch the already existing videos? Marble Hornets first?
Hey so if I want to start following, say, the three "main" slenderseries (MH, TribeTwelve, Everyman HYBRID), in which order should I watch the already existing videos? Marble Hornets first?
MarbleHornets, yeah. It's the most popular and has the most going for it right now. EverymanHYBRID is probably the second best, but make sure you keep track of the other youtube accounts, twitters, and blogs. There's an EverymanHYBRID Wiki that's a ton of help in telling you what to watch and in what order. TribeTwelve is pretty straight forward, just a youtube account and a twitter.
Hmm, who's that in my garage
But can he walk?
But can he walk?
He can shuffle :v:
Jesus 0_0
He can shuffle :v:
Now all you've got to do is put that fella behind windows and in bushes and take out-of-focus pictures, then distort them a bit, and you've got instant genuine slendypics.
Can't forget TribeTwelve Haven't seen it but oh boy what might it have in store for us this time
TribeTwelve should have a laugh track. I know I personally would enjoy it more. In fact, every Slender Series should have a laugh track. MarbleHornets Season 2 DVD bonus feature?
Which do you guys think is best, Marblehornets , TribeTwelve or everymanHYBRID?
Which do you guys think is best, Marblehornets , TribeTwelve or everymanHYBRID?
MarbleHornets.
I prefer MarbleHornets, because the acting seems a hella better with MH.
MarbleHornets.
From what I've seen the guys behind it are extremely skilled at making horror. Unfortunately, I found this out by watching the few entries that have several seconds of The Operator staring at the camera. That stuff is borderline-traumatizing if it's sufficiently suspenseful. [editline]1st November 2011[/editline] Although I have to admit I quite like what I've seen from TribeTwelve's equivalent of totheark as well. The Observer is creepy as hell.
Personally i think that Marblehornets is the best, followed closely by tribetwelve. Im not that into HYBRID, the story seems too incomprehensible unless you have been a follower from the start.
Alright. I've made an observation. The operator, Observer, Slenderman. Whatever. Usually appears when anger is around (Or the static levels get higher) Has anyone else noticed this?
Alright. I've made an observation. The operator, Observer, Slenderman. Whatever. Probably the reason why Alex in MH has gotten so pissy.
It's a tie for me between MH, EMH, or DH. Never realized how many H's are in the series names.
For me, I've seen every EMH. Then, I realized that i've missed a shit ton because of parts of the story being on other youtube accounts. So I have no fucking clue with what's going on with EMH anymore. I feel like I should re-watch it properly, but that's just so much time and effort that I don't feel like committing to. So, for now, Marble hornets, Tribe twelve, and Dark Harvest are my favorites. Also, the new TT is amazing. But I always cant help but think that Noah has aspergers.
Don't forget MLAndersen, guys!
Don't forget MLAndersen, guys!
MLAnderson is too slow for me, personally. At first when it started out the pacing was good because it had a lot of tension, but the pace isn't really appropriate for later videos, and at this point rather than preserving tension it's just kind of frustrating. Just my opinion though.
