It probably is. The Rake's Song by The Decemberists was playing in the car, not to mention all of the references to the CreepyPasta, and the fact that when I used to talk to Jeff and the other creators everyone called it 'The Rake'.

The Observer isn't all that scary anymore. I thought he was pretty cool in the videos, but now I just laugh when I think of him.

How is it confusing?

Jay wakes up in a hotel and doesn't remember anything from the seven months beforehand. He eventually finds a bunch of tapes and an external harddrive which contain recordings of the seven months before he ended up in the hotel. He then watches them and tries to piece them together to try and figure out what happened.

What do you mean what happened? Watch the entries in which he watches the tapes. That's what happened. It's literally the exact same thing he did during Season 1. It's no more or less complicated than that.

1. The first five episodes of EMH are indeed mundane, but they still have some really creepy bits. After that, the shit hits the fan.

DarkHarvest really picks up later on. Besides that you're probably better off sticking with EverymanHYBRID an MarbleHornets. TJAProjects is really terrifying at the beginning, but about half way through it gets so boring that you'll probably stop watching entirely.
