I thought I could try and make a post in this thread with 2 not so good pictures at the truck we have at work, mostly. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16108270/lastbil (2).jpg[/t] [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16108270/lastbil (1).jpg[/t] VOLVO FH16 6x2 with 750HP.
I love the sound of scania V8's [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGb_Nl4_aM4[/hd]
With a hooklift or "lastväxlare" as you say it in swedish, but it's probably not a "Livab" which is most common in citytraffic.
http://www.piercemfg.com/PierceMfg/media/PierceMainMediaLibrary/Flash/WebOuts/360/Saber360/360.html this exact truck in the pictures (same demo one) was just at our station for a demo of what we're going to buy in the next year or so. it's a pierce enforcer. 500HP detroit diesel big block, fucking monster. it was full of water and still ran up to 67 MPH
Shit, Gayne.
AAAAAW YEEEAAAAH! [editline]4th August 2014[/editline]
Fuck yeah a proper thread. During the week I drive a Scania R500 from 2007, I mostly drive in Sweden, but I also make trips to Finland. It runs a 15,8 litre V8 with a 12-speed manual gearbox, 620000km on the odometer today. During the summer weekends I drive a Chevrolet C1500 454 SS from 1990.
I knew it was you Julle!
Posted this in the random pics thread, thought you guys who frequent this one might get a kick out of it too:
I dont work for my uncle anymore, but heres another pic anyway. He had so sell the truck because he could not manage anymore to maintain 2 truck, so no more truck for me. :(
But... I like that truck.
Ya its gone now. :/
If you guys were going to get a light/medium work truck, what brand and trim level and why? Towing up to maybe 6000 pounds bumper pull, and a large box taking up most/all of the bed with work equipment. I think if I had assloads of money, a 2500 Denali with top level trim because they seem pretty nice. Otherwise Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. Never Ford. They're too cheap and I hate the company.

Add weight to the bed and you'll want heavy duty suspension. Your best bet is a 2500HD from GM. I'm not the biggest fan of how the Rams. A brand new truck? Silverado 2500HD or Sierra 2500HD, but make sure the tranny cooling and alternator issues that were recalled have in fact been corrected on the vehicle.
A Tundra?
F-150 Lariat SuperCrew Short Bed 5.0 4x4. Basically our truck, but a short bed instead of a 5ft and with 4x4. Oh, and in Blue Flame Metallic.
A Tundra?
>truck >Toyota choose one.
>truck >Toyota choose one.
I get it because it's not from the glorious motherland of USA which is the only country in the world making proper trucks, right?
>truck >Toyota choose one.
Fucking lol, the Tundra is more American than any Chevy or Dodge truck. [editline]19th August 2014[/editline] The Tundra is a fine pickup truck.
I never said anything about any country. I said nothing Toyota branded should legally be called a truck, let alone a medium to heavy duty one.
You know, I always wondered why the Tundra was never made with more heavy duty options, like the dually rear wheels/bed combo. If they're trying to be a real competitor you'd think they'd at least have something that the big 3 have had for decades now.
I never said anything about any country. I said nothing Toyota branded should legally be called a truck, let alone a medium to heavy duty one.
Tell that to the tacoma who pulled a 3,000+ pound 6 x 12 trailer with no trailer brakes.
Unrelated thing: is it just me, or do the Early 90s GM fullsize trucks and the Early 90s Dodge Midsize trucks look suspiciously similar, like they were doing the whole "Chinese copyright theft" thing before it was cool? Seriously. to Average Joes and Janes, I've actually had to point out that no, those aren't by the same parent manufacturer.
I always thought the dodge looked a bit better.

[editline]19th August 2014[/editline] That's one of my favorite body styles for Chevy too.
Those two just always looked suspiciously similar to me. The mirrors are the exact same, the grilles, greenhouse, and body lines are similar, and even the trim and gascap are in generally the same place. Also, DP, this is a thread about trucks, not Audis. I do not much care for the A6, and I don't think many in this particular thread do either. There's plenty of other threads dedicated to different kinds of cars, and I'm sure there's many audis to ogle in them. [editline]20th August 2014[/editline] Also, fun fact: the 90s Dodge Ram almost looked like the 90s Ford F150 when they were prototyping it. That's the 1987 dodge Louisville slugger concept.
What's more luxurious, Ram Laramie, or GMC Denali?
So before the summer we had two cool trucks at work. Anyone like custom paint jobs? [t]http://i.imgur.com/Cp0a2dG.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/0cSmT5j.jpg[/t] And [t]http://i.imgur.com/cGTJa2D.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/m5bAWbd.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/gjqcNyv.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/HIrMyEM.jpg[/t]
LOL that looks like something I built on ETS2.
How does he get away with having naked women on the truck.
It's art, not photographs.
not really big into artwork on my vehicles
