That's only part of it. But the main theory today is methane gas under the sea bed. You see, when Methane Gas erupts from the sea, it creates a huge wave, such as a tidal wave. This Methane eruption is probably why so many ships have gone missing without a clue, because they don't even have time to figure out what's happening let alone radio for help. In testing, it has been shown that ships may sink in less than 4 seconds to these massive gas eruptions. Methane is also much lighter than air. Since many older aircraft measure altitude by air pressure, this becomes a fatal problem. Methane looks like any other ordinary cloud, however, since it is much lighter, it has less pressure. So when a plane flies through a methane gas cloud, the meters tell the pilot that he is ascending, rapidly. Even though he is flying parallel to the ground, he thinks he's going up at a very steep angle, first reaction? DIVE! So, fearing he will stall the engine, he pulls down. Unfortunately, this means he is now heading towards the seawater. And SPLASH!, the plane is never heard from again. Modern aircraft with licensed pilots have been shown to survive these methane clouds, which is why there hasn't been a disapearence since the '70s. :eng101:
Damn, i was gonna say that :( And the gas may bubble up under a ship and mess with it's bouyancy, thus capsizing it. Good job explaining :clint: New: i'm in a fucking tropical storm right now.
This is too enormous to be true. I really wonder if this book exist.
The book certainly seems to exist, I found a page by page scan of it here http://www.scribd.com/doc/313983/La-Tres-Sainte-Trinosophie At this site there is translations for a lot of the pages, not sure if it's accurate at all though... That was just me farting into the hydrophone.
Dam somebody beat me to the mothman prophecies I never knew about the Chernobel part though Anyone hear of the Black Dogs? Apparently they are black dogs that roar, rather than bark. It's pretty easy to believe though, probably just a genetic trait or something. And I'll go hunting for crptids with you guys.
That was just me farting into the hydrophone.
Go to the club man, then tell them your penis size. (He knows what I mean)

Didn't know they used to allow prisoners to write books. Edit: EDIT : Inquisition ? In 1933 ?
The green children of woolprit Some green children where found where some harvesters were working. http://www.mysteriouspeople.com/Green-Children.htm

At harvest time during the chaotic reign of king Stephen of England (1135-1154), there was a strange occurrence in the Suffolk village of Woolpit, near Bury St. Edmunds. While the reapers were working in the fields, two young children emerged from deep ditches excavated to trap wolves, known as wolf pits, hence the name of the village. The children, a boy and a girl, had skin tinged with a green hue, and wore clothes of a strange colour, made from unfamiliar materials. They wandered around bewildered for a few minutes, before being discovered by the reapers and taken to the village. Here the locals gathered round and questioned them, but no-one was able to understand the language the children spoke, so they were taken to the house of local landowner Sir Richard de Calne (or Colne), a few miles away at Wikes
That's my last name. :tinfoil:
Guys! I was out for my daily run and I passed a friend's house, so we decided to go out in the woods and look for shit seeing as people find Native American/Revolutionary/Civil war relics. So we got a metal detector and got a few other friends and set out into the woods. About an hour into our journey, after finding a musket ball,(No pictures, I don't have a camera) We started hearing ruffling in the bushes and thought it was a dear or black bear, we shrugged it off and continued. After another half hour we didn't find anything of importance so we started thinking of turning back, so we did. So on our way back my friend, John was looking all paranoid. So we stopped and asked him what was going on, he said that he looked behind the group and saw a man-like shadow passing behind us. So we started laughing at him because, well, he is the one that cries wolf all the time. It was getting darker and we were heading back, but at a slow pace since we stopped a lot. So after we got to a little hide-out we made near a fallen tree a few weeks back, we stopped there and made a fire(Don't worry, we knew what we were doing, we all used to be eagle scouts and kept the fire contained.) I head back to my house to get some supplies for our camp out that we decided to have. I got a few bags of beef jerky, a tent, and a few gallons of water. I head back to the place and they got stuff of their own, and we told ghost stories and did other around the campfire shit. And we began to hear things in the woods. We heard what sounded like chimpanzee would make, and we asked ourselves "What the fuck?" This continued through the night. After I got home I got on the computer and researched about possible chimps in Florida, and found out that while they were filming a Tarzan movie in the 70's a few of the chimps got out of their cages and formed communities around the forests of Florida, and found that there was one were I lived. It was pretty interesting finding out that chimpanzees lived next to me. This isn't really a scary story but very strange..

I was thinking the forest was haunted until you started talking about chimps.
You hear a black bear and you continue in the forest.
Anyone hear of the Black Dogs? Apparently they are black dogs that roar, rather than bark. It's pretty easy to believe though, probably just a genetic trait or something. And I'll go hunting for crptids with you guys.
I love the black dog tales, mostly because they're mostly british stories.
Stories of phantom Black Dogs are told in several countries, but most come from Britain. In some of them, the dog has one blazing eye. I others, it's paws point the wrong way. Sometimes the phantom dog has no head, only a bleeding stump at it's neck. Usually, black dogs only appear briefly, then simply vanish. Seeing one always spells bad luck, though, as the Vaughn family from Shropshire, England, discovered. *Story time.*

A song that makes peoples suicide : http://www.dark-stories.com/eng/gloomy_sunday.htm The song can be listened here ( don't do it before you read the story ) : http://www.archive.org/details/PaulWhitemanwithJohnnyHauser
This song is quite cool actually. Someone should make a folk version, or a metal version.
You hear a black bear and you continue in the forest.
Black bears aren't aggressive. Only when they are protecting babies do they get aggressive. But I have encountered wild Black Bears before, and they are quite friendly, that is if you don't piss them off. EDIT: That was a true story, and there are chimps in the forest. Nothing paranormal ever happens to me.
Here's a strange one, the universe. We all know how, and when it was created. Big Bang, some 12 billion years ago. Then over the course life began. The question is, why was the universe created?
The Big Bang isn't a fact, why do people think that it's been proven? I find it hard to believe nothing exploded and formed everything.
The Big Bang isn't a fact, why do people think that it's been proven? I find it hard to believe nothing exploded and formed everything.
It wasn't nothing. It was all matter.
Ehm, Mass is never created or destroyed, so therefore there was a ball of mass the size of a marble with all the matter of the universe compressed in it. Then boom, it explodes out and creates the universe.
This song is quite cool actually. Someone should make a folk version, or a metal version.
I don't know If I want to listen to it after reading the story and the comments...
It wasn't nothing. It was all matter.
Where the Hell did the matter/mass come from then?
Go to the club man, then tell them your penis size. (He knows what I mean)
Done, and done.
I don't know If I want to listen to it after reading the story and the comments...
Holy shit, I actually feel like suiciding. :( Actually, I don't. It sounds fucking cool. Wait, what if some force makes you kill yourself. Like you are possessed, then it kills you. Then people never committed suicide from listening to this song.
I like it, it's awesome, and it doesn't depress me at all. I just love it.
I was half expecting the suicide song to be a Miley Sirus/Hanna Montana song....

I'm watching with interest. :v: EDIT: oh my God, he hasn't commented in five minutes!
Coincidence; I THINK NOT!
Hey any body have any pictures of that thing that washed up on the beach in like Mexico or somewhere? I only got to see it on the Colbert Report.:v:
Just read through all 11 pages, well not all posts but the ones with external links and stories on, which is very rare for me to do. This is most interesting indeed. How deep were these hydro phone thingies that are being talked about in the OP? Couldn't they just be the sound of a Military sub passing above/below a few miles away? Movement in the earth's plates on the sea bed miles below? I really do think we should explore the deepest seas before we explore other planets.
Where the Hell did the matter/mass come from then?
Wait about a thousand years for scientists to figure that out, come on dude, we are still just experimenting with space travel. Humans aren't the most developed race in the universe...
