Suicides all over the country began happening. Many were found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head with the gun in one hand, and the Gloomy Sunday record in the other. One man begged a someone to play it over the radio, and he finally agreed. The same man later committed suicide that night. Many more were said (But I forgot them)
The man found out that his ex-girlfriend bought the record at the store and went home to listen to it. He later found out that she killed herself that night and was found with the Gloomy Sunday record in her hands
Apparently the record has such a depressing sound to it that these suicides were inspired. Apparently you can find the song online too, but I don't know for sure
