And yeah as far as I know the bleeding nose thing is supposed to imply the blood from the head is rushing downwards at such speed it causes a nosebleed. Why you'd take that any more serious than the phrases of butterflies in your stomach or boiling with rage is beyond me.

that the blood literally boils is the japanese myth. Myth meaning before modern understanding of blood pressure and nosebleeds
So wait, why does that poster in the background say "Andrew Dobson" if the character is supposed to be named Tom Preston? I thought the character Tom Preston was supposed to just be inspired by Andrew Dobson's life, not literally be Dobson using a different name.

Well, no.
The point he has been making is that, yes, it is him, but no, it isn't part of his daily life or real life experiences and has nothing to do with himself, but rather his career.
That's all. It's flat out supposed to be him, that's the point of the comic, since he's the cartoonist and he has all these crazy wacky insanely interesting events and things going on and skills to share and such through his comic. He also has an amazing amount of well thought out arguments and criticism that he wants to convey through his comics.
Like, how everyone sucks and there is no possible way to figure out whether or not people like what he makes, or how grumpy old perverted men are grumpy old perverted men that hates the living shit out of you and want to force feed you all the "right things to do" which is completely wrong because getting criticism from people that know their shit is not OK. Not that getting criticism from people that don't know their shit is OK either, if anything that's even worse.

Yes, oddly enough when one gets stiff, thier blood pressure actually decreases.
As well as the other occurrences like blushing actually causes decreases too.
