Dobson's self referencing comics are so popular because they allow aspiring deviant artists to feel a part of the cartooning world, even if it's dobson's version of it. He chose the path of least resistance, neglecting to develop his skill yet trying to make a living out of it, its obvious how that kind of laziness would appeal to the Deviant masses. Am I wrong?
