The time had come to reveal the winner of the design your own pony contest, all the participants had gathered in the panel hall and waited with baited breath for the inevitable announcment. The heavy smell of monster energy and sweat filled the air, it formed a light fog that hung heavily over the crowd; the humid san diego heat didn't help either. They watched, captivated, breathless and soundless.
The modest coughs and whispers were soon interupted by the entrance of the shows staff and actors, who were met with a thunderous applause. They sat down, adjusted their microphones and began the panel. All the usual stuff you'd expect from a show panel, talking about behind the scenes, future plans and of course the fan pandering. The crowd were here for the main event; to see what gleaming turd had been turned into a glorious statue by our hasbro overlords. The one piece of shit deemed better than the others in a massive pile of diarrhea.
The show's lead writer stood with a golden envolope, he swept the crowd nervously; beads of sweat began to drip down his face. He made a speech about how important the obsessive fans were to the show and how this contest was a great way to interact with the community surrounding it. Without further ado, he pryed the evolope open. The only sound in the hall was of the seal cracking and the paper folding as he stared long and hard at the result. The crowd were breathing heavily, hearts racing, autism reaching critical mass.
He announced the winner as the sheet was pulled from the statue, I didn't know who won and I don't really care. But in the split moment that horridly coloured crime against humanity was revealed...
Every single member of the crowd went absolutely mental, chairs were thrown, windows were smashed, spaghetti lined the hallways of the convention centre as none were left to live through the true horror that was occuring. The angry mob grew as the entitre convention centre was demolished, no suriviors. It soon continued until half the city was destroyed, the police force were beaten, the army devastated. Burning cars and dead bodies layered the streets in blood and metal, the rivers run red, the smoke from the cars blocked out the sun, and the entire world suffered a new dark age.
I've been to a lot of conventions, but the environment just feels so off and awkward, even by its own levels. The supervising director dude seemed uneasy and really put off when explaining things
3 minutes in where they're all dancing, I've seen that though. Daylight raves are a clear reminder of why raves are done in the dark with flashy strobe lights and glowsticks
and stop using autism as a blanket insult
