She has fucked up war paint. Her hydrolic fluid is leaking from her servos "referring to stick like structures". This picture is actually upside down, and she is wearing anklets with a spear up her ass. Oh what fun it is to interpret.

What does he need a new painting program for? I thought all he used was paint bucket tool.

More terrible shading!
If the program doesn't work, how is piracy going to help? It's still the same goddamn program.
Exactly, this comic makes no sense at all. So he upgrades his OS to what I assume is OS X Lion and bought a new painting tool at about the same time. Unless its a PowerPC program he should not have any issues. All the major software developers worked with apple to make sure this would not happen. What kind of assbackwards program did he blow all his money on?

GET THE FUCK OFF MY SEAS DOBSON

He payed 300$ so he could use the fill tool. That's dobson for ya.
If the program doesn't work, how is piracy going to help? It's still the same goddamn program.
he's going to download another, compatible program
What kind of "painting program" costs more than $300? I mean, CS5 costs like $600 but I'll be damned if his art can't be done using Sai and Paint.NET.
it probably can, but he likes to think it can't
I'm going to be honest here and say that I find all of the nitpicking more annoying than Dobson. -He probably is used to a certain program that he likes to use and doesn't want to switch, which is normal. -His shading really isn't all that terrible, I just hate how red he makes tongues and how he drew the teeth in the last panel. -He could have easily accidentally bought a 64-bit version of a program when he has 32-bit, or something like that. -It's a comic and probably isn't even meant to be taken seriously, it probably never even happened in the first place. -It's probably one of his better and more relatable works.
-He could have easily accidentally bought a 64-bit version of a program when he has 32-bit, or something like that.
I think you're looking a bit deep into it. It's not like his fans would look at it that way.
-It's probably one of his better and more relatable works.
Not at all. I mean, he's using a goddamned mac. :v:
kinda sad hm
Think of all of the people in the world who have bought something to find out it doesn't work. It isn't meant to make you fall out of your chair laughing, just sort of like "Yep, I can relate.".
I think you're looking a bit deep into it. It's not like his fans would look at it that way.
Fair enough.
Not at all. I mean, he's using a goddamned mac. :v:
:v:
He could have easily accidentally bought a 64-bit version of a program when he has 32-bit, or something like that.
We're talking about Macs, which have obviously less freedom in terms of software choice. If Dobson (or anybody else after all) bought a software that didn't have a Mac compatibility at the first place, that's his (their) own fault.
-It's a comic and probably isn't even meant to be taken seriously, it probably never even happened in the first place.
Problem is that the comic serie is just his constant bitch about everything (especially if you happen to read his disclaimers). I never seen a single strip where he eventually said something good about the art field (or a good experience as artist).
-It's probably one of his better and more relatable works.
To be fair, his Brentalfloss comics are better drawn (though the humor is worse)
Think of all of the people in the world who have bought something to find out it doesn't work. It isn't meant to make you fall out of your chair laughing, just sort of like "Yep, I can relate.". Fair enough. :v:
Stuff nowadays (and since the beggining of commercial software) has always had the requirements printed on the box or the website or whatever. I don't find this relatable, and I'm guessing anyone who's ever done more than being just an user doesn't either. I guess his fanbase will find it relatable, though.
I just realized the comic is about the program not working because of a new OS he installed, so he pirates the progam to be able to use it again. Makes a bit more sense.
