I've used iTunes since I was a kid. I tried Foobar and WinAmp but I just prefer iTunes. Is that a crime?

I just switched to foobar from itunes earlier this week, to be honest there isn't much of a difference for me. The only major thing is that foobar takes up an insanely tiny amount of memory(compared to itunes). So there isn't really a big difference but I won't be switching back.
[editline]7th March 2013[/editline]
also I don't have to run another separate program for scrobbling
75MB of memory is not a big deal in this day and age.
its probably that I'm running an insanely old version of itunes now that I think about it
I mean right now Chrome is using almost 500MB of ram so yeah.
itunes takes up 200MB of memory vs foobars 30MB
I'm mostly in it for the shuffle albums feature and the super customizable hot keys
great for playing games while listening to music
i dont know anyone who looks at their music player while listening to music. functionality is usually the preferred option of most people.
i like to watch the lines dance about
also the oscilloscope is fun to watch

I like it because it has a small footprint and is insanely customizable. That, and iTunes might be the only music player left with no global hotkeys. -_-
I also don't own an iDevice so as far as I'm concerned I have no reason to use iTunes.

yes but im not talking about that. im talking about what the program itself looks like.

The default layout is pretty spartan but as far as functionality it's fine. It has a library display and it shoots stuff to the playlist. As far as "just listening to music", what more could you want?
Default layout for reference: http://i.imgur.com/L844UOf.png
well yea. that's what ive been saying.
Real basic, it fits nice on my 1368x768 resolution (laptop), i used to have a more advanced layout on my PC but windows died on that and there's noo foobar200 for Linux yet :((

that actually looks nice, fits that theme well

I keep it maximized on the "other monitor".
Originally started with a layout similar to Amarok 1.x, then tweaked it as I went until I got to that.

I use to use a skin that matched my windows theme but I like the default interface better.
If anyone wants to try a new media player, try clementine.

Its got all the good stuff and runs on linux. Only downside I can think of is that it uses around 80mb, though the devs have been pushing this down quite a bit in recent updates.
I use Clementine on Linux.
Mostly because MPD fucked up somehow and I've been too lazy to figure out how to fix it, but as a recreation of Amarok 1.x (the best media player in my opinion) it does very nicely.
i used clementine but when you start using foobar after it you find out clementine is shit.
for some reason the audio quality in clementine was lower for me too.

Instead of DeadBeef? No thank you.
Just got MilkDrop working in foobar now too. I love how easy it is to add tabs to Mnlt2.
Has anyone compared Banshee with Clementine? Banshee comes standard with Mint and I haven't really bothered yet to find a better audio player (if there is one).

I prefer Banshee to Clementine. I always felt Banshee looks neater
made a 1920x1200 friendly layout
Is there a way to add shuffle and replay buttons that show if they're enabled or disabled like how, you know, every other player has by default ?
You mean the playback options??

It doesn't show well on a screenshot but both the album and artist part scroll very nicely allowing one to scroll through and view artists and albums much like someone would do with LPs back in the day, that's the point.
