[img_thumb]http://ploader.net/files/dadcb4702904820bac36a6bc1f523f5d.png[/img_thumb]
raise the saturation AND make it black and white? :raise:
Photoshop needs to have a 'poser photographer' option, where it removes all of the tools, and leaves only filters and color options. You could flip it on and most girls would never notice
I don't see why you have to be part of a "fad" if you own a nice camera. I have two 35mm SLRs and I take pictures of things because it's a fun hobby. [editline]03:12PM[/editline]
<pic> also <morepic> vintage tones :argh:
I actually rarely use photoshop to remove blemishes on people, usually I'm playing with pseudo-double exposure or removing trash from landscapes :argh: I make it a habit to use blemishes and things like that to my advantage by framing / setting up the shot right, I think it adds character and makes your subject look more like a person and less like a mannequin.
Whats wrong with people taking pictures ?
People who use cameras as part of their "fashion" rather than a hobby or a career. They often take sub-par photos and then act all hipster because they have a camera. Oh, they often take photos of themselves and then saturate it, turn up the contrast, decolour it, and think they are pro at photoshop.
raise the saturation AND make it black and white? :raise:
it contrasts tones so the black and white has more depth, without it a photo tends to turn flat when grayscaled. (not the best example but it's what I have open right now. People like trying to make art. They're not necessarily good at it, but it at least gets them thinking about palettes and composition and whatnot and if they enjoy it, what's the harm?
Basically to fit you must: • take the photo at an angle. • avoid looking at the camera like you didnt know you were taking the photo • make it greyscale / filter rape • Add text with your name or some qoute you ripped off of wikipedia • Upload it to facebook and wait for all of your friends to comment saying "GORJUSSSSSSSS"

BLACK BORDERS how I hate thee
The only thing I hate more then fads is people who say "I was into that before it was cool"
To be fair that feeling isn't very nice. Especially if it was something you were teased about a lot, and then it became cool.
Those pictures taken in the mirror with a Facebook-girl holding a camera/cellphone in her hand are my pet-peeve. Urgh!

"Yeah. Photography is my passion."
I don't shoot photography with a digital camera, I use one which still uses film, which makes my brand of photography unique, not good, but unique.
Those pictures taken in the mirror with a Facebook-girl holding a camera/cellphone in her hand are my pet-peeve. Urgh!
mine too. I was thinking about getting into photography anyway, not because it's a fad or anything, but because where I did work experience lately I helped a professional photographer with some setting up work and he taught me quite a lot about how cameras work, which I actually found really interesting.
ZOMBlE EYES seriously thought that's a great instant-zombie setting ya got there.
Duplicate layer Adjustments - Black & White (Preset: High Contrast Blue Filter) Invert, set to overlay mode: Difference. Duplicate original again, merge together with the difference (or use the Image - Apply Image function) CTRL + U, saturation to -100 (basically, make it B&W) Set to overlay mode: Overlay and set fill/opacity to 50% This also works for making unnaturally smooth skin effect by using "High Contrast Red Filter" too. You can also just use that filter and set it to Luminosity.

Lol, my picture is better than yours it just has superior quality and much more feeling behind it.

People think having expensive camera makes them instantly artistic. Combine that with the relative ease and affordability of digital photography.
People think having expensive camera makes them instantly artistic. Combine that with the relative ease and affordability of digital photography.
my biggest peeve is this, which comes up surprisingly often when talking to other people about photography. "OH anyone can take good pictures you just need good equipment, that's why 'good' photographers are good is because they wasted a ton of money". He also went off about sunsets and how they're unoriginal and anyone can just snap a picture of the sun. I made a bet with the jerk that I could take a better picture of the same thing with a crappy ollllld point and shoot digital while he used the one rented from the college. (the assignment was the same subject so we had to take the pictures anyways) The teacher liked my pictures, and gave his more criticism than most of the rest of our class. :v: still, good photographers understandably have better quality cameras than a college wannabe. That's because they have the ability and experience to use them to their fullest dag nabbit
I made the image a bit dark to make the watermark a bit more visible.
